Yeah, a whole class in four weeks does not sound fun. Grats on the grade, though.
It sounds like three people are open to weekend posting, one probably not, and another we haven't heard from. I can probably update us over the weekend if only a few post, but it's harder if we're in combat, since I don't always know how to act for people when I have to bot them. We can play it by ear, but I feel like that's what we've been doing for a while now and it hasn't exactly worked the best. Everyone please chime in. :)

Celia Victocora |

One consideration that may have an impact, I know in general the summer time is a little busier for people on the real-life front as kids are home, people take vacations and work on projects with the warmer weather. It may just be a kind of slow going on the weekends until Fall rolls around again. For my part I can post at least once on the weekends, but just providing some potential insight into some reasoning others may have more difficulty.

Evander Forrell |

I know this summer I'm doing some reno work on my house on Saturdays, and Sundays have been my face to face games for a while now. I can definitely try to do better getting in a post on the weekend, I just can't guarantee how substantial it will be.

Gregor Ward |

True to the summer thing. We have been doing updates/upgrades to the back yard and I'm the manual labor mule portion of the work (and there's a lot).

GM Zek |

Any thoughts, Gilda? :)
Yeah, summer could also play a part. I'm just afraid of us getting used to not posting on the weekends and never going back. I guess that's a personal problem I need to work on.
Weekend posts (or posts in general) don't have to be very long. Even two or three sentences can be sufficient if it helps to move things forward. Of course, I would normally like a bit more than that, for roleplaying and story purposes, but you shouldn't feel bad if you need to make the occasional short post. I much prefer that over not posting at all.

Gilda Grabapple |

I try my best to post on weekends too, but sometimes the family and holidays/travel/etc sweep you up unexpectedly when you think you'll still get your 15 mins to catch up and post.
I'd say keep trying to push things forward on Saturday with Sundays off. As a GM just let 3 of the 5 PCs push the narrative forward if the other 2 aren't required, and feel free to GMPC in non-critical combats the same way.

Matiscio Tartaluna |

My apologies if I'm slow and or place somewhat terse posts, but my body isn't liking me at all and I can tell it is putting a number on my mood *and* imagination.

Celia Victocora |

Just a quick note to all my games. Going to be out of town on a camping trip for my boys cub scouts tomorrow through Sunday. Not sure if I will have a cell signal to post or not.

Gilda Grabapple |

Side note - I'll be out of pocket for a few days coming up, from tomorrow through the weekend.
Bot me however you wish. If we end up fighting the globster in the open air, Gilda will swap her underwater spells for perhaps SNAs with the goal of bringing a fire elemental to bear.

GM Zek |

Hey everyone, I never know how to time these things. On the one hand, I want to give everyone a heads up, but on the other, I don’t want to cause the game to slow down before it has to. Anyway, I’ll be out of town 8/8 to 8/17. I’ll be in Alaska for a vacation with family. While I thought about possibly updating things while away, I don’t think I could do so fairly for all the games I’m involved in. I highly doubt I’ll have internet for a good portion of my time there anyway. As such, I think it best if we just ‘pause’ things while I’m away. I don’t particularly like stopping things entirely, but I think that’s better than you looking for a post from me for a week or more in a row without finding one. So, 8/8 to 8/17, we’ll put things on pause. Hopefully we can get going again on 8/18, but definitely by 8/19 at the latest.

Matiscio Tartaluna |

That works for me! A player can bow out for some time and not impact the game too heavily, but as a GM, the game can't go on without you. I hope the Alaskan weather is up to snuff =P

Matiscio Tartaluna |

Welcome back! I'm going to read the gameplay thread and catch up right now :)

Celia Victocora |

Ok, updated the loot sheet. Please make sure you go through and claim the items your character has already taken so people know what is available and then we can discuss who wants what.
I made some enhancements to the sheet also to make it easier to keep track of things moving forward like what kind of item it is and where it came from etc. I will update the individual member sheets soon as well so that people can just copy paste items over and it doesn't mess up the sheets.
Let me know if you see anything off or have any ideas/suggestions for improvements.

Celia Victocora |

As a side note, if you are claiming something on loot and getting rid of something you already had that someone might be able to use feel free to add it onto the sheet. Then put a negative number under your name for that item so that you are credited with the amount of money you are putting back into the pool.

Matiscio Tartaluna |

I'm a zombie right now, but I'll go through it tomorrow!

Celia Victocora |

I went ahead and added everything I saw as party use to the Party column and added the 3k cost to repair the machine. We'll each need to essentially throw in 1k gold to cover all those costs and zero out the Party loots current negative balance.
As for Celia the only items she would be interested in are Ring of Protection, Cloak of Resistance, and/or Amulet of Natural Armor as she doesn't have anything in those slots currently. Obviously though, with her generally being in the back line anyone else who may need those should grab them first.

Celia Victocora |

Maybe we should say anything not claimed by tomorrow night will just be considered sold? That gives everyone a day and a half so we don't get bogged down and can keep moving.

Gregor Ward |

Okay, I'm a little lost on the loot sheet.
I have Evander's old armor, but it's still on him
Also, I see we have two wands of Hold Person? I wouldn't mind one (and it's on the Bard spell list)
Also, there are two unclaimed cloaks of resistance and a Handy Haversack. If no one's really not using either of them, I would appreciate them.

Celia Victocora |

Nothing has been changed yet on the individual people's loot sheets. I added Evandar's armor though and assigned it to you. As for the other items, I don't believe anyone else has claimed them.

GM Zek |

Thank you again for your efforts, Celia. Waiting till tomorrow evening for loot seems like a reasonable time frame.
In the meantime, everyone can still feel free to post in the gameplay thread as to where you want to go next. Obviously I can just move us forward to you returning to the Wasp Nest, but I want to make sure that's where most people want to go first.

Celia Victocora |

I say, in no particular order, we go to the Wasp Nest and check on everyone there, check in with Laria and possibly check in with the Lictor. At some point Celia would want to check in on the university and her friend there. Otherwise, she will be busy working on getting the machine up and running.

Celia Victocora |

For anyone that isn't claiming any loot (so far Gilda/Matiscio/Gregor haven't marked anything) you may want to consider purchases with the gold you will be getting.
I know before we sell off the Spellbook Celia will want to copy any spells she doesn't have out of it first. I assume, we will have essentially 3 days of downtime to work with for crafting/purchasing purposes once loot is settled tonight?

Celia Victocora |

As a side note, don't forget I setup a Discord that we can use and I have access to it almost all day. So if you want to ask questions or get clarification on the loot sheet you can ping me there.

Gregor Ward |

That's what I was saying in my last post in regards to being lost with the loot sheet.
So, I'm supposed to just claim the stuff I want? What do you mean by marking it?

Celia Victocora |

Yes, just claim what you want. Put a number in the row of the item for how many you want under your characters column like Evander and I have done.

Evander Forrell |

I'm doing some work on my house this week, so posting might be slow. I'll try to keep up, though.
I like the plan for moving forward.

GM Zek |

Yes, you should have some downtime, Celia. At least 3 days.
Roger that, Evander.
Celia, I’m assuming items that are going to be claimed have been claimed at this point, so please feel free to divy up gold when you have time.
Now’s a good time for purchases if anyone has been itching for something.

Gregor Ward |

I may be mostly unavailable from today through Monday. Not only is it the Labor Day weekend, but also my 20th anniversary weekend.

Matiscio Tartaluna |

Congratulations! On the topic of wealth: does anyone have any recommendations on what items to get for Matiscio? All of a sudden it has dawned on me that while, yes, I play a ton of PF online, I haven't bothered with magic items and equipping characters past level 5 in years.
Should I just see if I can get his shield enchanted to +1? I got enough gold to get either shield or armor up to +2, but it might be worth it to invest into an actual enchantment. Blinding on the shield might add a good bit of control to Matiscio. It is useful in combat (DC 14 ref vs 1d4 rounds of blindness), but also will help if we/he ever gets caught by the guards.
The +1 lawful outsider bane dagger is too good to sell (what with devils being a reoccurring theme in this campaign), so Matiscio will hold on to that for now even if it won't be his primary weapon.

Evander Forrell |

Phew. Sometimes, playing catch up is hard.
Anyway, there's no reason that we can't start moving people into the Lucky Bones - everything before the xorn room is clear except for the otyughs, and we need to take them out, anyway. Celia can work to repair the device with Matiscio for protection, while the rest of us try to track down the murderer. If we find them, we can grab Celia and Matiscio to go confront and attempt to capture them. If it takes longer than 3 days, then we'll deal with whatever's down the well and resume our investigation afterwards.

Matiscio Tartaluna |

I'm good with Evander's plan. We'll need to do a ton of diplo-mancing to make sure said Xorn and otyughs don't eat our comrads in rebellion *and* to make sure our comrads, in turn, do not attack them.

GM Zek |

Matiscio, as far as items to purchase, adding enhancement bonuses to your armor or weapons are probably going to provide the most consistent, albeit boring, benefit in the long run. On the other hand, more flavorful options may not be consistently useful, but could have a big impact when they work. Ultimately it's up to you to decide how to use your resources, so use them as you see fit.

Evander Forrell |

Evander is buying a +1 bonus for his rapier for 2000 gp. I marked it on the loot sheet.
EDIT: I also removed my old +1 mithral shirt from the list, too.
