I went ahead and posted an update while I was able to. However, I'll probably hold off on updating us again till Monday or possibly Tuesday night (assuming the site stays up, which is a big if). I think we're just going to have to take it slow for the next week or so. I would much prefer to get back to our normal pace asap, but I don't think we can count on Paizo's site to let us do that so... slow and steady for now.
As for the topic of switching sites... I definitely don't want to do so in a knee-jerk fashion, but if this kind of instability persists, I think we should seriously consider the possibility. It's been the better part of 3 weeks now since the first problems in the latest outage.

Not sure if this will help or not, but here is a link to Discord as an alternate communication method in case there are issues with the forums again in the future. Expires in 24 hours. Please just post in general with your character name or change your nickname to your character name so I know which group to assign you to.
If we need to ever look at using it for backup gameplay I can create additional channels and the like, but for now it is a just in case of emergency thing. :)
GM Zek
Thank you, Celia. Not being able to communicate at all for long periods can be... distressing. Haha. It will be good to have an alternate means of communication should the need arise. Discord is free and able to be downloaded for computers or phones, for those who might be unaware.
Matiscio Tartaluna
Durr, I missed it. Discord is a great emergency net, just in case things go bulette up again.
GM Zek
Hey guys, just a quick reminder to always write your posts somewhere besides the website first (google docs, Word, etc) in case you encounter an issue. Particularly with the website having issues lately, I would hate to see people's posts get lost. I just had an error myself, which is why I mention it. I type things up in google docs beforehand anyway, but wanted to caution everyone to do something similar if at all possible.
Evander Forrell
If anyone wishes to attempt to aid on the disguise checks, you are welcome to.
Matiscio Tartaluna
Am a bit under the weather, might not post till tomorrow.
Evander Forrell
I will be out of the country starting tomorrow evening. While I will have my phone and should be on Wi-Fi, I may have difficulty posting. Please bot me if necessary.
GM Zek
Hey folks, I debated mentioning this, but decided it would probably be better to do so and nothing happen than to not do so and something happen. I live in North Carolina, so there's a chance my power could go out for a while starting in the next day or two. While I'm fairly confident I'm far enough inland and out of the main path of the storm to avoid the worst of it, if I don't post for a few days... that's why. That said, I plan to continue posting, power permitting, so please proceed as usual for now.
Celia Victocora
Completely understand. Be safe! I'm down in Georgia so I've been watching it closely. Again far enough inland that it shouldn't be an issue, but never know what might happen with these crazy hurricanes.
Matiscio Tartaluna
Ai, sorry to hear that! I hope things turn out well, or as well as they can. Be safe.
GM Zek
Maybe St. Senex will come and bail you out!
Also, with the website appearing to be stable, I did want to go ahead and officially reinstate our normal posting expectations (once a day M-F, and once on weekends). We've been more or less doing this for the last week or so, but I wanted make it official so that when combat inevitably breaks out again, posting expectations are clear. I can and will bot if necessary to keep things moving (as I'm sure most of you know). Anyway, carry on!
Matiscio Tartaluna
Woo! And praise to the Forum Spirits for ensuring a smooth browsing experience! Honestly, ever since they've been up full-time, I've noticed no noticeable slowdowns. Since I'm European, before I'd often be greeted with a 'maintenance' message in the mornings *or* the forums would be arse slow.
That seems to be a thing from the past. Olé.
Matiscio Tartaluna
Ai, alright. Also, my dice seem to know no middle ground. They're all or nothing.
Evander Forrell
Can I just say that I find it incredible that the lie worked? I mean, seriously, I was sure we were gonna have to fight half the garrison.
Gilda Grabapple
Ha!
I was literally just rolling to enable some roleplay - like the guards looking at each other, "are you sure we shouldn't be helping them apprehend the Warden?"
Then a 31 happened, which isn't too shabby!
I approve heartily when we can pocket a story to tell when the AP is all over vs a mundane combat any day!
Matiscio Tartaluna
Sorry for any slowness, been struggling with a cold that knocked the wind out of me.
As for the lie: amazing. I pity the guards when they have to explain themselves to their superiors at some point in the near future.
Celia Victocora
In regards to Sabo's stuff, whether we keep it or not, Celia would insist on us at least separating it from her and putting it somewhere safe where she couldn't easily access it if she woke up.
Celia Victocora
Just a quick question in regards to the pre-battle prep. Did Celia need to use another scroll of Mage Armor? IE between leaving with the cart and everything that had happened so far had it been over 2 hours? Just want to make sure I keep track of resources appropriately.
GM Zek
I think I just realized I forgot to respond to your questions, Celia. My apologies. No, you didn't need to use another scroll. The events at the Holding House took place in a short period of time, relatively speaking, and the time period was certainly shorter than 2 hours.
-----
With your success in rescuing the armigers, you've all gained enough experience that you've reached level 5! Woohoo! Go ahead and level up when you have time. Since you're about to rest, you'll have your new spells, extracts, etc. when you wake up.
Matiscio Tartaluna
Oh my, level five. I'll try and get a leveling up sheet posted later today. Also, why did they remove the handy red dot on the My Account icon whenever you have a new message? Silly Paizo.

Brawler’s Strike (Ex) At 5th level, a brawler’s unarmed strikes are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. At 9th level, her unarmed attacks are also treated as cold iron and silver for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. At 12th level, she chooses one alignment component: chaotic, evil, good, or lawful; her unarmed strikes also count as this alignment for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. (This alignment component cannot be the opposite of the brawler’s actual alignment, such as a good brawler choosing evil strikes.) At 17th level, her unarmed attacks are also treated as adamantine weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction and bypassing hardness.
Close Weapon Mastery (Ex) At 5th level, a brawler’s damage with close weapons increases. When wielding a close weapon, she uses the unarmed strike damage of a brawler 4 levels lower instead of the base damage for that weapon (for example, a 5th-level Medium brawler wielding a punching dagger deals 1d6 points of damage instead of the weapon’s normal 1d4). If the weapon normally deals more damage than this, its damage is unchanged. This ability does not affect any other aspect of the weapon. The brawler can decide to use the weapon’s base damage instead of her adjusted unarmed strike damage—this must be declared before the attack roll is made.

Hey folks, I know weekends are this strange void when it comes to pbps, but I would like everyone to try to get at least one post in on Saturday or Sunday. If most people do, it will help us maintain momentum and just generally keep the campaign moving at a better pace. Thank you for your efforts!
Matiscio Tartaluna
Will do! And thank you for keeping the magic and marvel going strong in this campaign :) I'm always left wondering where the story is going next.
GM Zek
Thank you, Matiscio. : )
I know I probably sound like a broken record sometimes, but I've seen far too many campaigns die on these forums (a few of which were other Hell's Rebels campaigns) and I don't want ours to suffer the same fate. Plus just moving the story along at a decent pace tends to keep things interesting in and of itself.
Gilda Grabapple
Hey crew, I'm moving and thinning out my gaming shelf of Pathfinder stuff. Not sure if there's anything any of you'd be interested in before I post some lots on eBay? LINK
GM Zek
Good luck with your move, Gilda!
-----
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I've been noticing more glitches with Paizo's site lately, so please try to type out your posts somewhere else then copy them over to the forums. It'll make the forum deciding to have an error a lot less painful.
Celia Victocora
Yup, I've noticed the same thing! After the big forum blow up I now at least ctrl-C the text before I post just in case...
As a side note, for anyone that may be interested I am starting up a PbP for War for the Crown.
Evander Forrell
I applied to that with Eregos Villarius/Hargus Kryn.
Gregor Ward
Oh, I've been doing a Ctrl-A and Ctrl-C before I ever preview or submit for years now. After having timed out once or twice a while ago, it's just my norm, every post, every time.
Matiscio Tartaluna
What's War for the Crown like? My RL tables stopped running PF games and, as a result, I haven't been in the loop at all when it comes to the new APs :)
GM Zek
Sorry for the delay, Matiscio. But to answer your question, War for the Crown has a lot of political intrigue. There's a fair bit of social interaction and not as much combat as you might expect from a typical AP. I'm only playing in one that's currently in Book 2, though, so Celia could probably give you a better idea of what it entails.
