As I said (long-winded) in the discussion thread, I'm on the right page now. But NOW, ELgan is in position, and within reach, so NOW this guy gets the Hasted-SHifter-Wham-Bam-Thank-You-Mam! :)

How does the hole in the Wall of iron work - do we get cover from each other?

From angles straight through the hole, no.

Altai and Elgan don't have cover and vice versa, but the t rex does.

The hole is like an open door; the walls are walls as if a room.

Elgan waves a watery arm, and a ginourmous patch of brambles appear, and grow to prodigious size (a-la Maleficent) blocking the hole in the iron wall.

Cast Wall of thorns. Block the hole in the wall of iron, at least it will take an action for them to open it again. Do we need backup? I can summon another JGG, Level 8 or 9 if needed?

He's hemmed in pretty good now.

Off of rounds. Who wants to do what? He's got total cover. He's not trying to escape. He saw his buddies go down.

"We're here on Jarl Snøfrisk's business! Surrender, and we'll bring you to his steading, where you'll face his judgement. Don't surrender, and end up like your two pals here."

"I surrender's! I surrender's! Why you attack me!"

Altai nods at Gjetost, who wanders over to the two dead giants and lops their heads off with pair of powerful strokes. "Just to be sure..."

"You are accused of stealing Snøfrisk's herds and of torturing and murdering his men. Cut your way out through the barriers, then drop your weapons."

"Them goats belong to folks. That stupid. Snofrisk's men stuped, don't give us no meat, and say get out of valley. We show him, we fight to eat. We go where we please. Nothing wrong with that. Accuse stupid!"

"Your rules don't apply in Snøfrisk's lands. Also, you tortured and murdered poor Mysvær, which is completely unacceptable. Anyway, we can do this two ways - you can come out unarmed, or you can die like your pals."

"He was a dick! No hospitality. He needed killing."

"Oh, f@** this shit. Life is too short to argue with sociopathic meatheads." Altai motions the water elemental back before firing a fiery mote into the shrub-filled metal box containing the jotun.

Elemental 2 moves to AI-AK 5-7, and Elgan moves to AI-AJ 8-9. I then fire a Fireball in through the "door" in the metal box. It goes off in the AO-AP 6-8 intersection; it only hits the giant. Damage 10d6=32 fire, Reflex 23 for half damage.

"You're an a&++!!+! You're an a$!$!$+!"

He spends his attack beating down another 5 foot square of iron or brambles or whatever the f@$# else.

You guys' attack...

Emrael moves over to AM6 and says, "You have your choices. I expect I know what you choose. Come out and tell us your preference."

She waits in a readied post, katana in both hands, eyes hard as flint, waiting for the giant to commit to the suicide by battle she's expecting.

"Groooooah! Not by seelie snickersnee will I die this day! Stand and deliver, you miscreant trickers, with your summoned minions! Your fireballs, your walls! Face me with real metal!"

"See how a Jotun dies, thou midgemen! Trollborn, with troll tricks! Deceivers! Spellbinders! Nith grumbling witchling whoresons!"

"Apparently, a jotun dies with his mouth full of empty words, ineffectually scratching the ground. As for your vaunted toughness, that's empty, too - all you did was steal sheep and kill a poor shepherd. Any child could do that."

I'm casting Hungry pit underneath him. Reflex 26 or take a tumble - it is 90' deep and then chews on him for 4d6 for 28 rounds. He can climb out, though, with a DC 35 Climb check, which is not impossible for someone this big and strong.

He falls. He climbs and bellows in pain, in vain, 90 feet is a long way.

After two minutes, you don't hear anything.

112,500 xp each. End of combat.

Where are your troll tricks now, eh?

"An unpleasant spell, that one." Altai gets a bit queasy as the screaming giant takes a long time to die. "Not a good way to go."

What were these guys, anyway? Mythic giant giant hill giants?

"Jack in Irons" from the Tome of Horrors Complete, which I do not have but d20pfsrd.com does.

Hmmm... At a glance, CR 17 seems a bit high. However, the dazing blow ability is just nasty - going one-on-one with one in melee is a death sentence.

Altai is clearly relieved when the last giant finally goes quiet. "OK. The pit ceases to exist after about five minutes; the dead guy will reappear then. Let's make sure he is really dead. And, after that, let's search the place."

In their sacks, you find 70,000 g.p worth of gems, coin, jewelry; it looks like an eclectic horde. Probably all stolen.

He's all chewed up and deader than a door nail.

I gotta crashes.

What now?

Bag up the giant heads, pick up the dragon head and lug the lot back to Jarl Snøfrisk and tell him mission accomplished? The cave looks kinda fascinating - I wouldn't mind going back later to take a closer look at it.

I need marching order for the tunnel out to the main room.

Well, the summoned beasts are gone. So - Gjetost, Emrael, Elgan, Pip, me?

Gjetost says, "hey? Who turned out the lights?"

At the black squares, at the verge of the tunnel, is total and pure darkness, and you cannot see beyond.

As a start, I can't see through it with my Goggles of night?

Nope.

Well, it was worth a try. ;P I'll try True seeing instead. If this is an illusion, I'll see it as such.

"Hmmm.... This usually works. Pull back a bit, just in case."

You can see through it now; it's not an illusion though. It extends 60 feet into the larger chamber.

Elgan, now back in Elf form, Just,... sighs.

"Iz gonner be wun uv DOSE days agin, idn't it?" He asks no one in particular.

How you want to handle this? A horde of your conjured critters? Or a couple of mine? ;)

Does Altai see through Claw's eyes?

I don't think so. To make things easier, should we say he came along after we killed the jotuns?
