I don't know offhand if he retains the intelligence of Svipdag. I think he does.
He was feebleminded and polymorphed; however, it looks like youse guys were talking to him so the feeblemind must've been countered by you or something else; it was two years ago IRL time......
but he is intelligent at the time being.

"Ah dunno. Ah keeps askin', buut nowun seems interested in answerin'. Dey jes' keeps tryin' teh git him. No matteh whar we ends up.' He points out, indicating their most recent destination.
"Huh. Well, he was a legendary dragon, but this is odd."
"Perhaps he knows something they wish to learn. Would they have reason to return him to his former state and home? Was his treasure found - perhaps something was in his treasure vault that they seek." She shrugs.
I think that Altai and co. found the treasure right before Emrael joined up.....Beldan found THE sword......
"That is a point I had not considered. Perhaps our pursuers are looking for Svipdag's sword - you know, the one you are carrying."

Elgan shrugs again.

heh heh I just watched Deliverance again a few months ago.
Emreal puts her hand down on the mystic sword. She looks at the fey woman, "Do you know of a reason why so many would pursue the sword?"
"Value. And it's a potent weapon against that fey druidess trying to pull part of Oerth into the First World.
However,...they seem to be pursuing the dragon, not? You have the sword. Why, then, wouldn't they just ask for or DEMAND it instead of Svipdag?"
"Mayhap, like udders, ur deer mascot iz mur den whut he seems?" Elgan asks.
He flows effortlessly into a floppy eared dog for emphasis, scratches behind one ear vigorously, sighs contentedly, and shifts back into a wood elf.
"Whut?"
"That's often the case in Asgard. Loki's mere existence proves that."

"Maybe we need to question Svipdag again about this. We have done so before, but he was not able or interested in giving us any information then. If you will excuse us, we will repair back to our ship and gather our wits. It has been a busy few weeks. We will of course inform you of any knowledge we manage to uncover."

Elgan follows Pip around when the Bard goes shopping. Out of curious boredom more than anything. Even though he has some quite nice equipment by some adventurers standards, and he understands 'preparation' well enough, Elgan just cannot seem to grasp the concept of pouring supposedly valuable gold into something that he's just going to wear. ;P
Although having seen Altai make good use of some of his enchanted sticks, Elgan Inquires about buying some magic rods to enhance his nature spells.
I'm cool with that. I'm in graduate school, but I feel like i'm in wonderland.

As you are milling about the commons of Vanaheim looking for stuff to waste your money on,
you see an anthropomorphic White Rabbit. He is naked from the waist down, but he wears a nice shirt of elfin chain mail.
He has a round device, on a small gold chain that stretches to his tabard pocket.
He seems anxious. Neurotic. Pensive.
Par for the course for rabbits.
They are nature's natural paranoids, and they have reason......everything wants to eat them.

So far so good. had my first accounting quiz friday; got 19/20 so I'm doing good. Doing databasing too.

"Late for what, my lagomorphic locutor? My theory is appointments should always be arrived at fashionably tardy"
He whispers to Elgan
"I always had an admiration for rabbits. They always outsmarted my Da and Gammer on our farm. We had to plant twice as much vegetables just to get a crop! The plow dogs did love to chase them! Ahh..The Yeomanry.."
"dogs! how howwibow!" he heads off, shooting away into some rather tugley looking wood at their mention.
Elgan blinks at the slight movement of bushes left behind by the fleeing rabbit. The druid turns to regard Pip with wide eyes.
"Dey alsew hev guud heerin'." He informs the bard solemnly.
Pip shrugs
"alas, they do. Also not very trusting beasts. But why would they? I have supped on many a cony in my youth."
Elgan nods in agreement.

The rabbit heads off into the tugley wood nearby.

Just FYI, It is now one of my big show weeks. (Week long rental, this time round they are doing R&H Cinderella)
