Speaking of work,... my wife has an interview tomorrow at an office on campus where I work.
The good news, she may soon have a 'real' job.
The bad news, I have not had a single raise in 7 years, but next month they will RAISE my insurance cost by 5%.

5% aint too bad, but it sucks.
It's not terrible as far as raising of Insurance rates go. I will admit.
If I had been getting a raise each year I would (Probably) hardly notice it. But as it is, it's essentially getting a cut in pay. When the pay I have is already insufficient.

He leads you to the northern wall of the valley; there's a pretty steep switchback trail that leads up to Oddgut's Cave.
You can see it from the base of this hill.....the cave mouth is pretty large.
You see a big ass dragon flying around; it's probably 30 miles away from you.

"Let's not agitate the dragon, folks. The giants will surely be more than enough by themselves."

Elgan nods in agreement. Then scrambles up the cliff face with no visible means of a pathway before him.
You guys reach the cave. It's carved like a big giant's head and the cave is the mouth. Kinda disconcerting.
It goes back into the darkness.
"OK. Let's go quietly inside. I have a number of formulas that'll create walls and separate the opposition. Split 'em up and take them down."
The mouth of the cave gives in to a 15 foot wide tunnel with a slight slope downward.
Elgan nods, brushing the ground with his fingertips, learning the lay of the land for calling in some assistance.
"Ah'll call sum smalleh fren's. Dey N ah kin lay down sum thorn walls tew." The druid whispers, his form blurring before your eyes, as if anticipating the battle to come. He grins in anticipation, and for a brief moment he looks like a young child, then older than his actual years as he furrows his brow in concentration.
You hear water dripping.
"Hold it for a few." Altai casts a quick spell, and a trio of large, handsome rats appear. "Go in and find the mean giants that live here. Then run back out here and tell me where they are." THe rats scurry off, whiskers twitching.
27x6=162 seconds.
They come back with 12 seconds left;
"Dude. 100 feet ahead, there's a biiiiiiig chamber. It's filled with water, and crystalline formations of grande size.
I didn't see no giants in there, though.
There's side tunnels though; maybe they're in one of them; didn't have time to check them all out.
The other rat says,
"I think I heard snoring. From one of the tunnels. And it smelt like giant."
When I map this thing, I'll indicate the "tunnel from whence snoring issueth forth."
The third one says,
"yeah....it's past some water. We declined to swim across it as there was something stirring under what should have been a placid surface. We decided that swimming across would bring our dooms and we would not be able to report what little we have to you."
"Good job, guys. You all did well. Go home and rest."
"Sounds like we'll need to keep our distance to the underground pool."

You guys enter a massive crystal cavern from the south.
The blue squares are big ass pillars of crystal.
There's a massive lake; on the other side is a ledge, 10 feet up. The cave on the right is the one the rats heard snoring issuing from.
"How do the three big lugs make get out of the cave? Swim across the water? The ledge to the east is too narrow; let's go west and see if there is a way to cross the stream."
"Hrm. Ah'll go tek a luuk. Yew go ahead, jes' keep an' I un me. Ah'll be raight back."
The druid says as he climbs up Claw's shoulder, leaps off, and shimmers into a large hawk. With two wingbeats he is flying up and over the water, peering as only the 'eagle-eyed' can do,...
