Is our fly effect still going? If it is, how's this? "Come, giant companion of Altai Spellslinger. Let us see what is to be seen. I think the ledge leads right once we exit the cave, yes? Walk along the wall with your hand on the right-hand wall to guide you. I will fly above you in the same fashion." We will stop when we reach the edge of the spell effect until we have peered around a bit.

"Wait! Waitwaitwait... Don't touch the darkness, at least not yet. I have a spell that should make short of any magical darkness..."
Any ideawhat might cause the darkness? Know (arcana)11+30=41. After I ID it, I think I'll blast it away with a Sunburst spell.

Deeper darkness.

"Shut up, mortal;" you hear a sibilant hissing feminine voice say.
"I am here for the black dragon you have turned into a turtle.
Bring it out here, or I promise you: those who do not die here this day will wish they did.
My Master has been perfecting the art of torture longer than your species has been in existence.
This is your only warning. Comply or face unspeakable horror."
dungeonmaster heathy
"Absolutely nothing any of you say is of any worth whatsoever. Although my time is infinite, nonetheless your trite prattle bores me.
Think about your next few words, for if you do not do as I say, they will be the last you utter which do not consist of horrid screams and begging to be killed swiftly."
Elgan Dreadwood
Elgan grins at Emrael.
"Ah furgits yew ain't bin hangin' roun' us all dat long Chere'. Les' jes' say dat deh turtle ain't allus bin a turtle, til he ran inteh us. But seems lahk ever-whar we goes dere's SUMwun interested in gittin' him fer dere own aquarium."
Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe
"Everyone wants to play with Mr Svippypuss. It's so ridiculous"
Pip squints at the darkness
"You're not one of those snake-lady thingamajigs are you? 'Cause I gotta tell ya, that is one creepy look. Plus, there's no lady parts, so why perpetrate? You ain't fooling no one with a basic grasp of anatomy. I mean, sorry whatever drunk demon lord shat you out made you inhabit such a gross body, but why take it out on poor murderhobos like us? I mean, it's not like we are trying to steal YOUR turtle. "
Altai Iscarni
"Oh well. Let there be... light!"
I'm casting Sunburst in the AO-AP 34-35 intersection. The spell has 80' blast radius - everybody in it takes 6d6=20 damage and, more importantly, are blinded. A successful Reflex 28 save halves damage and negates the blindness. SR check 13+17+4(Greater Spell Penetration)=34. Finally, the burst of light dispels all dakness effects it touches.
That is, unless Snake Girl is undead. Then, all bets are off.
Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe
Pip fires up his trusty axe
"I once knew a gal
Who had no legs
Instead of babies
The b!tch laid eggs
She thought she was pretty
It was kinda sad
What good is a face
When your body's that bad."
+4 atk/dam/charm/fear in effect. We still have Haste on from previous? If not, I'll recast. Next up quilling the rattler
Elgan Dreadwood
Tru dat! ;)
1d3 ⇒ 2
Casting Summon Ally VII, but calling up level 6 monsters. Got 2 JGG's incoming! :)
Elgan whispers in a gravelly, grinding voice, touching his haste-casting charm as he does so. In response the ground in front of them rumbles and heaves, and TWO vine covered stone giants walk up into the chamber with them.
"Wanna let meh fren's play furst? See how bad she rally iz?" Elgan asks Altai with a grin.
dungeonmaster heathy
The "rattler" is at AB AC 31-32. She's female human....ish...oidish...with scaly black skin and six arms and rams' horns and six swords from the waist up, and a serpent from the waist down.
She's flanked by two massive cobra like things. Cobras with humanoid faces.
There's some guys in the east tunnels; can't see them too good though.
dungeonmaster heathy
d1, d2, d3, d4 send a barrage of arrows at Gjetost.
the first two fire full, the other two have to move a bit and thus get only one attack.
Gjetost is hit 5 arrows, 6 hp damage, and needs to make a dc 25 fort save or fall asleep.
d1 to d4.....They're all female drow.
The black marilith and the two cobra.....things start chanting in the darkspeech.
Group's attack!!!
Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe
Pip changes his riff suddenly. His floating crystal sword begins wailing in a most peculiar way
Switching to Holy Cacophany, to jam incipient spellcastery
Holy Cacophany
Altai Iscarni
Move to AO 20 before dropping Horrid wilting on the demon and her snake buddies. Damage 17d6=62 untyped damage; a successful Fort 28 save halves the damage. SR checks 14+17+4=35 vs the demon, 11+17+4=32 versus Cobra 1, 10+17+4=31 versus Cobra 2.That oughta put a crimp in their chanting.
Altai's summoned monsters
Fort save for Gjetost 11+20=31. He remains awake. Don't forget that we all still have Mass fly running.
Gjetost floats gracelessly into the air in front of the nearest drow. "You will need to do better than that, little elf", he rumbles before plunging his greatsword into her face.
Move to AO-AP 31-32 before attacking drow 1. Attack roll 12+29-4(power attack)=AC 38, damage 2d8+23+12(power attack)=45.
