Down below, 9 moves over and goes full attack on Satari. 10 advances, getting one claw.
11, seeing that they have everything well in tentacle, exits stage right.
Moonbeast nine does 39 hit points, and rends for 2 wis damage; dc 22 wil to negate the wil damage.
10 hits with a claw for 13 hp damage.

And above,
6 struggles but can't get free of the grapple.
7 attacks Gjetost.
He takes 44 hp from two claws, two tentacles, a rend, and takes 3 wis damage unless he saves vs dc22 wil.
8 attacks Claw. Rends; two tentacles. 13 damage after DR is figured.
And, group's attack!

Satari is down 83 hp, 5 points of Dex, and 6 ki. His AC is currently 23.
Satari, saddened that he cannot immediately honor the elf's sacrifice, grabs up the katana she had carried and disappears, reappearing next to the far mast AK50, where he begins attacking chains for the adjacent slaves with his free hand. I'm probably wrong, but I think his unarmed strikes ignore hardness.

"Enough of this crap! I`m tired of holding back. ARISE, MY FOUL FRIENDS! TEAR MY FOES TO PIECES AND BRING THEIR FLESH HOME FOR YOUR BROOD! RIP TH... A bralani? How awkward..." Altai`s spell sounds a little different than his usual summoning formulae. As the conjuration reaches a shrieking crescendo, balls of darkness appear between the ship`s masts. They explode with eye-searing energy; as the party`s vision return, they see several hideous beasts suspended in the rigging, combining the worst aspect of crayfish and solifugae. Spiky armour clicking and groaning, they close upon the moonbeasts with unnatural speed and ferocity.
"Oh well, my point still stands... F+&+ you, tentacled freaks! Those of you who die right away now are the lucky ones!"
Bugs! These are 1d3+1=3 bebiliths, my far and away favourite D&D monsters. One is hanging in the ropes in AH-AJ 37-39, one is in W-Y 40-42, and the last one rips away the hatch in AC-AE 37-39 and stands over the opening, looking down into the cargo bay.
Altai's summoned monsters |
So many summoned beasts... I think I`ll just dispense with the full math for a little while.
Tiger:
Bite hits AC 38, damage 16+14 smite=30
4 claws hits ACs 23, 36, 21 and 29, the hit does 15 damage
Grapple maintenance 43 vs CMD if the bite hit
Bebilith 1 attacks Moonbeast 7:
Bite hits AC 37, damage 20 plus 2 CON damage unless the moonbeast passes a Fort 23 save. The effect lasts for 5 rounds.
2 claws his ACs 33 and 27, damage 14 and 13
Bebilith 2 attacks Moonbeast 8:
Bite hits AC 36, damage 18 plus 2 CON damage unless the moonbeast passes a Fort 23 save. The effect lasts for 5 rounds.
2 claws his ACs 37 and 30, damage 15 and 14
Altai's summoned monsters |
Gjetost has taken about 80 hp, AKA 1/3 of his hit points. However, his WIS is starting to suffer badly...
No move, the usual bonuses apply. He starts with Moonbeast 6, switching to Moonbeast 7 if the first one falls.
Attack 1 hits AC 40, damage 52
Attack 2 hits AC 39, damage 56
Attack 3 hits AC 33, damage 49
Attack 4 hits AC 38, damage 51
And, if the first one falls, he gets a Cleave bonus attack, hitting AC 38 and doing 49 damage

Pip grabs his floating singing sword and hands it over to the man.
"Here, take Mezzaluna. Don't mind the singing, that's her primary job. She still works as a sword."
It'll work for him as a +1 longsword
Altai's summoned monsters |

Altai can go, and the tiger didn't have to hit 6 since Elgan wasted that one.
The tiger charges to AH-AI 35-36 and attacks Moonbeast 8. It gets to pounce again, so it can use all the attacks listed above. The moonbeast is now in hand-to-hand with a celestial super-smilodon, a heavenly wind-beast, a demon-hunting horror from beyond the pale and a giant magical robot. We must be playing D&D.
Altai Iscarni |
He looks over at the bebilith angrily.
"There is a time and place for all things, but this is emphatically not it. Aside from the fact that you`re making faces at an extraplanar demon-eating abomination while dressed only in your skivvies and having had to borrow a sword, we need to work together to seize this ship. So leave the demonic lobsterspider alone, willya?"
I think I`ll just zap the moonbeast with Magic missile. Damage 5d4+5=19.
