As the burly falchion weilding half orc runs past Pip and the new guy,
he kinda balls up......then backs down;
"Uh, Banjo Kid,....pretty much anything ain't a moon beast or a Subhuman Man of Leng is on our side, right?....you gotta keep me on the straight n narrow..."
Satari-san |
Satari winces as Emrael's lifeless body slumps to the ground, "Hold tight dear soul, the physical is not the only realm."
[ooc]What's the situation down in the hold - I think there are a couple of moonbeasts left and a couple of potential allies and a big ... thing ... just ripped the roof off. Is that about right?"

Pip grins at the stranger
"Pretty much. The animals and that whirlwind are ours, as is the big swamp tree yonder."
When he hears the mans question he replies
"I don't know where Luwisiana is, but Elgan is a swamp-bred elf if that helps. Now I gotta see a beast about some arrows I'd like to show it close up"
Pip sights on Moonbeast 11 and lets fly
Bow Attacks (farther than 30'/all feats/Inspire courage/Haste/+2bow/+3arrows):
Attack 1 (manyshot also)1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 221d8 + 17 ⇒ (4) + 17 = 21
Attack 21d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 281d8 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23
Attack 3 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 181d8 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
Attack 4 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 211d8 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20
Additional damage for Manyshot (if ATK 1 hits): 1d8 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23
The outer planar elfoid continues to harry Moonbeast 8 as it tries to escape with Em's corpse. It's whirlwind buffets the abberant
Same wind attack, and is there an AoO for it retreating? Also, can the Bralani stop it?
3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6) = 17 Reflex 17 for half
Altai's summoned monsters |
The tiger keeps tearing at the moonbeast.
Bite hits AC 36, damage 15
4 claws hits ACs 33, 35, 29 and 37, doing 14, 14, 15 and 12 damage
Grapple maintenance 42 vs CMD; as it is maintaining, I don`t think the bite needs to hit this turn.
The bebilith on deck charges the new moonbeast:
Charge to AI-AK 42-44. Bite hits AC 38, damage 20 plus 2 CON damage from demon rot unless the moonbeast passes a Fort 23 save. New saves are required each round for 5 rounds.
The other bebilith drops down through the hatch; with an otherworldly shriek, it climbs through the forest of chains, yanking prisoners left and right while closing in on the moonbeast in the doorway.
Charge to W-Y 49-51. Bite hits AC 37, damage 16 plus 2 CON damage from demon rot unless the moonbeast passes a Fort 23 save. New saves are required each round for 5 rounds.
Altai's summoned monsters |
"Sounds like there are some more below deck. See you there." Gjetost bends down, grabs hold of the edge of the deck and jumps. A second later, still holding the door mantle, he swings in through the cargo bay door, armoured boots smashing into the moonbeast`s face.
Move to S-U 47-49, leading with a pair of steel-toed size 82 boots. This is an Awesome Blow; if he beats the moonbeast`s CMD with his slam attack, it flies 10` and is prone. So - attack roll 14+27+3(bard)+1(haste)-4(Power attack)=AC 40, damage 1d8+12+8(Power attack)=27. For the push, 13+3+1+28=45 versus the moonbeast CMD.

The bralani finishes moonbeast 8 finally. Pip's barrage misses the new arrival though.
Elgan Dreadwood |
Elgan [i/]shimmers[/i] back into an elf. HE leans over to murmur to Evindra,
"Iz gettin' so's ah'm gunna need a scurecord teh keep track O' whoze who. By deh wee, whut's a scurecord?" And in a flash shimmers into a large, swift falcon, who quickly ascends and dives towards the remaining visible moonbeast like an arrow,...
Changing shape is a free action, I'm going to double move, (80' total) IF I did the count right, I should be able to make it to AL/AM 38/39 (once I change back to treeform taking up all those spaces) that should give me and the bebilith flanking with each other, and I'm still 5' away using reach to whack a beast! :)
At the end of this round, I'm still in the air, in falcon form, hopefully out of it's reach! :)
EDIT- Wait! I'm hasted, I can DEFINITELY make it there in one round! :)
Altai Iscarni |
Altai runs around the masts. Once he gets a good look at the new moonbeast, he blasts it with fire.
Move to AE 40 before casting Scorching ray on Moonbeast 11. Attack roll 11+10+3+1=touch AC 25, damage 4d6=14, 4d6=13, 4d6=17; total damage is 44, but any fire resistance it may have is counted separately for each ray.

dungeonmaster heathy wrote:Tiger can attack elsewhere; 8 is dead....IN that case, it never ran that way at all. Instead, it smashes through the door in P 35-36, looking for Moonbeast 9.
There's a recessed room. Two ramps down.
A massive throne, and Emrael is on top of a massive coffin, with a bunch of wires to the throne.
Moonbeast 9 is in front of the coffin. Two weird, winged, insectoid creatures "?" seem to be hooking tubes and such up to Emrael, scrambling about her furtively.

It doesn't seem all that resistant to fire; it shrieks in pain as he burns it.
Satari-san |
Satari grimaces at Emrael's fall and turns to go to her aid. "Free each other. Arm yourselves," he directs those captives he has already released from their chains. He summons his dragon ki, shifting to a wilder less controlled stance, then leaps from chain to chain into the forecastle, ending posed between the moonbeast and Emrael's corpse.
"Back," the monk commands.
dungeonmaster heathy |
Most of them got kilt by a fireball, except for the pretty maid who healed you up to max.
There's one other dude, he's kinda buff.
He starts trying to free others.
Satari's able to get to the room where Em's at, but he ain't got enough movement to get in between them.....
Now their attacks.....
Moonbeast 11 whomps on Elgan. Hits with two claws and two tentacles; damage is 54 and 1 point wisdom, barring a dc 22 wil save.
The two ?'s in there keep working on Emrael. They emit clouds of yellowish.....spores?.......from vents in their insectile abdomens.
The moonbeast 9 attacks the celestial tiger;
it takes 69 hp, minus DR x 6; all attacks hit it seems, and looses 3 wisdom, barring a dc 22 wil save.
Moonbeast 10 stands up; aoo's all around!
The fighter hits it with his sword and says, "sit back down, fiend!!!"
Group's attack!!!!!
Elgan Dreadwood |
Just to clarify, does the Moonbeast have reach as well? Because Elgan is currently hovering overhead, (He has to land and shift to treeform again this next turn.) And his designated landing zone was to take advantage of his treeforms 5' reach. :) (No problem if it does, after all Egan does!) :)
Dok |
Dok will move around the mast (To AK 41, please) to engage the moonbeast.
Tengu Falchion attack 1: 1d20 + 14 + 5 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 14 + 5 + 3 + 1 = 38
Damage: 2d4 + 11 ⇒ (4, 1) + 11 = 16
Tengu Falchion attack 1 Crit confirm: 1d20 + 14 + 5 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 14 + 5 + 3 + 1 = 27
Damage: 2d4 + 11 ⇒ (3, 4) + 11 = 18
Altai's summoned monsters |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
First of all, the moonbeast frags the tiger. It is no more, an ex-tiger pining for the fjords.
AoOs!
Gjetost: 10+29+1(haste)+3(bard)-4(Power attack)+2(prone target)=AC 41, damage 3d8+23+3(bard)+12(power attack)=54.
Cargo bay bebilith: 13+21+2(prone target)=AC 36, damage 2d6+11=19, plus 2 CON damage from demon rot (two consecutive Fort 25 saves halts this).
Altai's summoned monsters |
Meanwhile, the deckside bebilith flails ineffectively at the moonbeast.
As awesome as bebiliths are, they suck at killing things compared to, say, Dok, Elgan or extra-giant Gjetost. Rolling 1, 1 and 3 on my attack rolls doesn`t help, either. The moonie still needs to save versus last turn`s demon rot, though.
