Hnoss walks up to Beldan; whispers something in his ear.

She nods; and takes her leave. Gjetost waves too and accompanies her.

"I'm very pleased with you all," he says. "Very pleased. How would you like a job? I'm sure I can find uses for beings with your talents."

"You have been a most gracious master, vizier. I, for one, would certainly consider entering your employment very seriously."

I think I'll use both my wishes to boost stats - they'll give me a +2 bonus to my INT. Neat!

"Duly noted; I understand you all have a dragon or somesuch that you are questing for...."

he hands Altai a small crystal;

"Hold this and speak "City of Brass," at any time, and you and your entourage will be teleported to my bungalow therein. My majordomos will greet you, see to your comforts, and at my first availability I can put you to honest an lucrative work...."

back in an hour; chores to do and whatnot.

"Hmmm ... I don't know, what should I wish for ... wealth? Wisdom? Women?"

Ability increase is probably a good choice actually.

"Anything your heart desires, my boy..."

Actually, it is a good choice. And a relatively safe one too! :)

"I want to boost my intellectual and magical prowess, I think." Altai thinks for a while. Yeah, that's what I want."

He pockets the crystal, smiling at the efreeti lord. "I have a feeling we will see each other again."

I'll take that +2 INT. Magic all the way!

I might want to go shopping, but I'm otherwise ready to roll. It would be nice if someone could run Stig on a regular basis (in the last fight, I ran him, Claw, Gjetost and Pip and that was a bit much).

Still plenty of time to buy if you like.......

The group rallies up with Hnoss at the tiny inn finally; Altai has a little magic medallion that will teleport him and friends to the City of Brass. There's decent service, but the Modsognir don't hassle you all much, even seem a bit leery of you.......

Hnoss:
"well, we can rest up a day or so. Then we make for the dragon. He's not far now. Another few days and we should be there.
We're out of the woods of the Mittelmarch now; now on it's just badlands. Not much growing there. Not even grass. We're entering the wastes, beyond which is Jotunheim."

She glances at Gjetost...

Ooooh! I forgot about the dragon! I am SO going shopping! (FIre resistant underwear?) :) I will try to Run Stig if you like. It may not be much more than 'Stig Smash!' And some dice rolls,... but that, and drinking, is what Stig does best! :)

oh; just a reminder....the dragon in question is a black dragon, so acid instead of fire. Get some baking soda armor to neutralize the pH.

I can run Stig in fights. I think we'll want him for dragon slaying.

Oh I agree we want 'Stig the Dragon-tenderizer'! If Moth can run him, I'll pinch-hit and try to keep him running if we get slow again.Or I can try to run ghetost? I confess I can barely keep up with my own posts, but I want everyone else to have fun too! And running half the crew when we get busy could rob the fun I think. (Even though you did an awesome job VAtters!) :D

Gotta bring Stig along. So much for the talk about fighters sucking...

I can run my own crowd. But if Mothers runs Stig, could you run Pip? That way, we have everybody accounted for.

That'll work I think. Pip's mainly a backup singer and pincushion guy right? No worries. :)
