Altai Iscarni
Gjetost is up towards the front, while Altai is in the back, behind Claw. I'll cast See invisible once the crone and her ogres take off.
So... Perception Altai 13+11=24 w/See invisible. Perception Gjetost 9+12=21. Perception Claw 20-1=19. Talk about your wasted 20....

Right on;.....
Marching order so far....
feel free to modify if you like.
Where do you guys want Hnoss? Also need Pip; Elgan. Elgan's gone til the new year I do believe.
I think that's everybody.

enter the dragon
(new linky; the old one was just to establish marching order).
Elganbird can see it just up ahead.
The wood you stand in is somewhat tangled; difficult terrain.
Though cover is copious.
Ahead, Elgan can see that a huge black dragon appear from slinking stealthily through the wood.
It proceeds to vomit a quagmire of steaming acid spew, eating the trees away and leaving a steaming acidic mudbath around itsself.
At jkl 5-7, the huge dragon; and the green puddle is his acidic spewzone. All the trees therein are now smoldering husks, and the stench is horrid. A loamy, burning and chymicule stench.
And now, all of you can see the dragon as well.
Initiative.

And as irongrey snowpregnant clouds slowly trickle wet gobby flakes down upon the lot of you that slap your face and sting like elfdarts for the merest of instants, a slushy cold puddling gathers and chills your feet through your boots.
On the horizon, far to the east, lightning flickers and a long gentle roll of thunder echoes across the snowcovered prairies of Asgard.

Pip will pop a Haste first to get things going, and then start up Lucille and his sword to free up for bowing next round
Pip starts picking a heavy ringing dirge on Lucille, his sword Mezzaluna picking up the chord in its eerie warbling voice. despite the slow thudding of the song, everyone feels faster.

After a quick look-see, I think the dragon is ahead of Stig, tied with Gjetost and Claw (they both have 14 DEX - if that is better than the dragon, they go first) and after everybody else.
It also occurs to me that we have not cast any buffs....
Dragon loses on dex to those guys.

Dio signs all round.

Pip reaches for the ebon-shafted arrows graven in dire runes as the moody music is taken up by his levitating sword. He pulls his bow taut and mutters as he takes aim:
"Dragonbane arrows! I have saved y'all till the last! I bought you in the bazaar, hoping that you would never have to be used. If ever you were truly crafted by someone who knew what they were doing and not a gyp, GO NOW AND SPEED WELL!"
hee hee couldn't resist. I will be shooting Dragon Bane arrows as long as they hold out (I have 10)
Elgan Dreadwood
ElganBird Screeches a warning, late, as usual. (But in the little druid's defense, he WAS busy being impressed with the size of the magnificent creature now before them!)
ElganBird folds his wings and noses into a dive, popping his wings open at the last moment to halt his momentum as he screeches a spell in bird-speak.
WHich buff do yo guys want first? I'm gonna presume mass Energy Resist? (I'll look it up.)

Beldan Vale
and I'm definitely coming down sick.......I thought I was just tired, but tired doesn't do this to your lungs..........*cough cough* owwwwwch......I'm going to crash out for today. See you guys laterz.
Rest up mate. Sorry for the delay, but I think the dragon goes before Stig.
dungeonmaster heathy
fireball goes off, centered on Gjetost.
save dc 18 reflex......
it effects everybody but Elgan.
54 h.p. in damage; save for half's.
Hnoss follows up on her turn with a 6d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 4, 4, 1, 6) = 19 channel energy; this catches Gjetost, Stiggy, Altai, Pip, and Claw in its effect.
Elgan Dreadwood
And don't forget everyone's Resist Acid 10 from Elgan's spell! :)
Elgan Hawk circles and screeches a spell. A pillar of flame appears. And then it grows. Having never called on this power before, it appears that the bird-form druid MIGHT be having just a little difficulty controlling his spell.
Sheets of flame roar past the dragon, mostly staying on target. Strangely enough, the flames do no harm whatsoever to the trees. The dragon is another story.
Cast Fire Storm. Full spell details here:
When a fire storm spell is cast, the whole area is shot through with sheets of roaring flame. The raging flames do not harm natural vegetation, ground cover, or any plant creatures in the area that you wish to exclude from damage. Any other creature within the area takes 1d6 points of fire damage per caster level (maximum 20d6). Creatures that fail their Reflex save catch on fire, taking 4d6 points of fire damage each round until the flames are extinguished. Extinguishing the flames is a full-round action that requires a DC 20 Reflex save.
Trying to keep the areas focused on the body of the dragon NOT next to our friends who have already attacked. rest can go off the back end. the dragon takes 14d6 dmg, reflex save DC:21 for half, I'll also roll caster level check for that pesky Magic resistance.
Dmg 14d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 2, 4, 2, 3, 6, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 5) = 40
Caster lvl check:1d20 + 14 ⇒ (3) + 14 = 17
Beldan Vale
Beldan quaffs his own potion of protection from energy, then ghosts forward through the trees, still moving quickly despite his efforts to remain unseen amongst the trees thanks to Pip’s haste spell and his own ability to move quickly but quietly. He draws his crossbow as he goes.
SA: drink potion of protection from energy (acid). MA: Fast stealth 1d20 + 36 ⇒ (13) + 36 = 49 move to U13. He’ll also be watching the dragon to try to gauge whether or not it knows where he is.
