Beldan waits till Altai gets what he needs, then suggests that the group says their good nights and retires to Altai’s portable mansion for the night (actually to talk strategy away from prying ears).
"Oh, well that's okay. I know my grandchildren used to like camping out in their playhouses. I'll pack you all some sweets!!!"

Actually, we made so much STUFF (as usual) that we didn't fix the soup. (A very nice seafood/corn chowder.) SO, we'll probably fix that tomorrow. (It's supposed to rain and get cold here Sat) ;)

When the group is safely out of earshot of the hag and the pint sized alchemists (perhaps in the mansion), Beldan speaks up.
“Well, what do you think? Can we trust the old fishwife? I’m not sure I buy that ‘good neighbours, I stay out of his way and he stays out of my way’ stuff ... but her boat might be a good way to get across the lake, and she seems nice enough (for someone who’s probably thoroughly evil), I can’t get behind just going and killing her or stealing from her without provocation.
“I can fly across the river at night, and I know some of the rest of you can fly too; can we get everyone across that way, or by other magical means? Or do we need the boat?
“Also, should we go dragon-slaying at night, or wait for morning?”
"Wah'll,... Ah've got decent naht vision, an ah reckin' sum uv yew do too. An flyin' aint a problem. But ah figger iz alwuz best tah tackle yer problems inna daytime, innit?" Elgan asks from his perch in a rafter of the magical mansion.
“Well ... a dragon can prolly see in the dark better than any of us, but it can probably see in the light better than any of us too,” replies Beldan, after he’s taken a minute or two to mentally translate Elgan’s words. “My main concern was if the old lady or that fat little pig faced tattooed rude bastard try to murder us in our sleep, or warn the dragon we’re coming.”
"At the very leat they must have some sort of understanding. Which is why I'll test out one of these bombs on a summoned creature in here before march off to battle. At leasat we're safe and undetectable in this dimensional pocket."

it's been a while, so......the Styx water can be distilled down through alchemy into a potion of longevity. However, it usually just makes people forget stuff.

Yeah, I can use one of my lower level spells to bring up a 'standard' or enhanced animal. If you want a humanoid, I'll have to burn a JGG spell. (I'll check, see if a lower lvl spell can bring a smaller humanoid)

I just want to apologize for my distinct lack of enthusiastic posting recently. I am TRYING to catch up/keep up, (With ALL of my multiple threads) but RL is being a Whiny b!#@h lately.
I don't want to go into details right now (although knowing me, I'll be glad to vent later) But please be assured it is NOT lack of interest or desire on my part. Merely a lack of time, and sanity. ;P

Beldan practises his whistling while he whiles away the hours till dragon slaying time.
When Elgan summons his critter he says, “Ok, get it to stand still.” He takes one of Altai’s youth grenades and chucks it at the Bambi’s mum that the druid has summoned. “Take that!”
"Awrighty 'den. Wun Jolee Green Gii-ant cumin' oop!" Elgan drawls out as he reaches for his contacts with the elements and conjures up his 'friend'.
The juice doesn't seem to work. Then he says, "Hey! Who am I? Who are you? F+~!! I don't remember who I am. All I remember is.......ganja!"
Elgan grins, the bright white of his teeth splitting his darkly tanned face like a sunrise.
"Easy dere' fella. We'ze jes' testin' out sumtin'. An' yew were sew kine as teh volunteer teh he'p us!" he soothes the JGG. Then glances over at Altai.
"Ah takes it dat's whut yew wuz lookin' fer?"
"Not really. However, I'd say that any effect whatsoever is good. Of course, this is an ambulatory, anthropomorphic plant, while Svipdag is an ancient, extraplanar dragon. Still, it's one more trick up our sleeve."
"I think I'll have Claw carry and hurl the memory bombs. He'll have a hard time hurting the dragon otherwise."
