Claw the Golem |
The megabeetle chomps at E1. Attack 1: 10+19+3+1-3(Power Attack)+2 (flank w/Beldan)+1(smite evil)=AC 31, damage 2d10+15+12(Power Attack)+3 (bard)+14(smite evil)=56. Attack 2 (from Haste): 12+19+3+1-3(Power Attack)+2 (flank w/Beldan)=AC 32, damage 2d10+15+12(Power Attack)+3 (bard)=40
Ifrits are evil, right? JGGs action depends on whether E1 is still sanding (he has to take a move action to reach E2).
Vilya the Taker |
Shiny,
That's fine.
Maybe you were only gone for a day, but you kinda have a habit of bailing for a week, or a month without saying anything, and I can't keep track of it. I've sat on your turn for a couple days before until I figured out you were going to be gone for an extended period.
Also, it's all well and good if you want to fart around on fawtl, but other people might want to play at the same time. I mean, I really can't tell if you're not going to fart around on fawtl tonight and disappear for two weeks, and don't take this the wrong way, but I suspect that you can't either, so that's......pretty much where I'm coming from.I do it too; I got life stuff too. Everybody does, and pretty much everybody here is gone some of the time, and it's really not that big a dealyo. If I stopped the game every time somebody was gonna go off for a week, the game would totally stop, man.
So the gone guy kinda falls down a hole, or disappears into the fey realms, or gets kidnapped by mindflayers and plugged into a weird soma injecting meditation machine to be used to try and break into the Dreamlands because mindflayers can't astrally project into the human dreamlands and they need a dwarf to attempt it because humans are too flimsy and they always die when they're used....but life goes on, man.
That's how I keep it rolling. If I don't, it won't go anywhere.
I'll bail. I really want to keep going with this, but things keep getting in the way. Still not happy about it. Bye.

The beetle fells e1 with two blows from its mandibles.
Yes, they're pretty much lawful evil.
Elgan Dreadwood |
See ya Shiny. I understand. Stoopid RL always getting in the way. Take care. :)
The vine-covered Jolly Green Giant reaches into a bag on is waist, pulls out two rocks, each the size of a small house, and hurls them at the efriit.
It gets 2 throws, does it get one more for a full attack action?
1d20 + 21 ⇒ (3) + 21 = 241d8 + 21 ⇒ (8) + 21 = 291d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 271d8 + 21 ⇒ (7) + 21 = 28
Elgan Dreadwood |
I think it's the smack-talker in the wall of thorns, #2 yes?
And one more rock for the hasted JGG,...
1d20 + 21 ⇒ (20) + 21 = 411d8 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25
AND the magically sped JGG hurls one more rock, which bursts into flame as it speeds unerringly into the forehead of the offending Efriit.
Um,... crit check?
1d20 + 21 ⇒ (1) + 21 = 22
Heh. I guess not! ;P
dungeonmaster heathy |
e2 turns into gaseous form, and retreats outta the wall of thorns about 15 feet north of his position.
e4 wails on Claw.
Hits twice, doesn't confirm either critical....
Claw takes 4d6 + 22 - 10 ⇒ (4, 6, 1, 3) + 22 - 10 = 26 nothing from heat.
perception, d.c. 25
Stiggy's up, then it's group's attack.
dungeonmaster heathy |
Stiggy:
Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |
Yeah; you see it too. It's about 40 feet north of Stiggy's prior spotting now, at 30 feet above ground. A large being in black plate, with a bow, riding a huge red dragon....
Pip racks his brains for anything he knows about big fire giants riding red dragons
I can do the Lore Master thing: a take 20+6 for any knowlege check. So 26 on K(planes)?
Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |
Efreeti air cav.
"YEEK!"
Pip dives for cover among the rubble (tucking the last few mithril cogs in his pouch as he goes).
Stealth: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (14) + 27 = 41
He shouts to the others as he nocks his bow.
"Eyes to the skies guys! We need some ADA but fast!"
No, not Air Defense Artillery, Anti-Dragon Artillery, LOL
Claw the Golem |
Having dispatched one ifrit, Gjetost turns upon the next one.
Gjetost attacks the level-drained ifrit.
Attack 1: 9+20+1(haste)+3(bard)-3(Power attack)=AC 30, damage 6d6+19+3(bard)+12(PA)=47.
Attack 2: 20!+15+1(haste)+3(bard)-3(Power attack)=AC 35, confirm roll 11+15+1+3-3=AC 27, damage 6d6+19+3(bard)+12(PA)=49x2=98.
Attack 3 (bonus from Haste): 11+20+1(haste)+3(bard)-3(Power attack)=AC 32, damage 6d6+19+3(bard)+12(PA)=54.
Claw once again fails to hit his opponent.
Gaaaah!

Gjetost demolishes his foe, though the crit was unconfirmed....
Anybody have anything they want to try on the gaseous efreet?
Beldan Vale |
Beldan whips around his lightning thrower and (if possible) fires it at the retreating efreet. Lightning bolt: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 6, 2, 2) = 16 – can’t remember if these are a ‘save for half’ type thing or a ranged touch attack: if the later, 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23 ranged touch.
Then 5 foot step to H6.
Unless Stig kills it first ...
dungeonmaster heathy |
That's all she wrote.
The cloud of efreeti disperses...
There's a thud, really loud, like.....a dragon landing to the north.
A lone solitary medium sized......human, he looks Mwangi, and dressed in gold and silk, comes striding through the smoke from the north.
"Greetings! My Lord treats thee for parley. He is mighty, and ruthless.....some would say almost dispicably so, but they are truly jealous and not at all worthy of his consideration! It is a great honor for you all to meet him."
He holds a snowy white silk in his hand by way of peace flag. It seems to shine radiantly in the smoky haze.
