Hypnotic Pattern and Counterspell (which is in the PHB, although I missed it my first look, too) are fine.
Booming blade is one of the attack cantrips from the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide. It would be difficult to buy it (Ramne's the only other arcane caster in town, and he's no warmage) but I don't have a problem with you replacing one of your existing cantrips with it.

If you were going to do that then I would have gone this level and completed 4 levels so you can still receive your Ability Score Improvement at 8th level, instead of delaying it.
A single lvl of pally dip does little for you BUT a single lvl of ftr dip is good value.
Yea, would take two levels if any. Might not though. Next level of Bladsinger gives Kor an extra attack. Hard to pass that up too.
Yeah - Multiclassing is possible in 5e but it encourages either single level dips (as class powers TEND to - but not always - maximise at 19th level) or 4 level increments.
Just stay single class for now. Unless the GM wants to continue with a new adventure I am pretty sure this game will top out at level 6.

This arc (which is an adaptation of two ancient adventures, squashed into one) will probably conclude around 6th level, but I've got at least half a dozen potential followups arranged in a loose outline. Now, whether the campaign keeps going that long is anybody's guess. I try not to commit beyond the current arc, but if everyone is interested I'll likely do at least one more arc of similar length after you conclude your business with the Mistress and Orlane.

No need to apologize, Dragomir. Hope everything gets straightened out. Parenthood has forced me into a somewhat slower pace, as well, so I'm not stressing an occasional delay or absence. The focus here is on fun, so no pressure!

I apologize for not posting more today, but I have been on the road all day.
Reporting back in. I am fine but now have a stint in my LAD artery. I had mild chest pain while exercising but it seemed to be getting worse so I had it checked out. Total blockage, but other arteries had stepped up to help so I had little or no damage. Moral of the story, if you have chest pain, get it checked out.
I'll get a post up tomorrow.

Jeeeeez...we are the walking wounded, here...I got nothing except normal aches and pains at this point.
I'm still calling what I had a "Procedure" and not surgery. But the room they wheeled me into for this procedure looked very much like an operating room. It was a "s@~* just got real" moment for sure.

Well, I'm feeling a little sore after hauling 100 lbs. of game books to the post office. Posted a bunch of 3.X and Pathfinder books on eBay, expecting to send a book here and a book there for the next few months, but a buyer in Texas decided to start a Pathfinder collection I guess ...
