Reta Bigbad |
Reta grins wickedly as Ho Ho misses her completely. She then moves her blades in a whirling motion in an attempt to cut him down.

Joboo |
Joboo chuckles as the last longshanks falls dead to the ground.
Theys so weak. Now to the loots!
The little gobbo loped back to where the pile of gold was.
Uh...is big bad sword in here? Mesa have big sack with no bottom.
he also has a couple of sacks and a Handy Haversack

Since no one tried a search of any kind, Reta triggers a collapsing wall trap hidden by the illusionary treasure hoard. Everyone but Bucko takes 8d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 6, 3, 5, 6, 4) = 38 damage, no save.
Once the dust clears, you see a large gray creature standing behind what was once the wall. It appears to be waking up, and very angry, but no one's surprised.

GM Goblin King |
There are times when I don't know what to do with a bunch of 8th level goblins.
Then, I am reminded. They're goblins.
GM Goblin King |
"What's it?....maybe hairless bear?"
Yeah, run with that.
Waitin' on Joboo to start the round.
Joboo |
Hurt and shocked at the sight of the horrid creature; Joboo did the only thing a gobbo with his talents would do. He disappeared.
his companions idea to run was a good one and he hoped they stuck with it but if not he would get the jump at whatever it was that ate their treasure...in one big gulp too!..hims have big empty tummy...
Velag Wordeater |
To be honest, I was going to cast Sift. I'm so used to Klepy diving into piles of treasure and us never being able to be careful... I forgot that we can actually be the clever-and-thus-still-alive goblins we are.
Knowledge (Arcana->Monster Lore): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28 What's that thing and what can it do to us? And how do I kill it?
GM Goblin King |
Reta Bigbad |

Wasn't aware of the Klepy business. I can promise you this, though, Reta has learned her dang lesson that's for sure! :) She may be a goblin but even she can adopt the mantra that the rock group Great White sang so well about... Once bitten, Twice shy baby!
GM Goblin King |
Let's just say it has a lot of hit points and packs a wallop! It likes to rend things.
Joboo |
There was a part of Joboo, albeit a very small part; that wanted to test his skills against the monstrosity that ate their treasure. But prudence and basic cowardice prevailed. The sly gobbo began creaping his way out of the room while still invisible.
Stealth: 1d20 + 34 + 20 ⇒ (18) + 34 + 20 = 72
GM Goblin King |
[dice=Stealth]1d20 + 34 + 20
Holy cow!
He can move half speed, or full if he's got that talent thing that lets him do that.
On its turn, the monster easily bull rushes Reta and Velag straight back into the wall. It hurts, but no damage (yet).

Reta Bigbad |
That's a nasty stealth roll!
"Ooooooowwwwwww. Reta tired of getting smashed. Time for Reta to run." Practically breathless from the beating she's taken, Reta has a hard time speaking normally as she turns and runs.
Withdraw 80'. It looks like whether I withdraw or just move, he still gets an AoO. Doesn't matter, still heading for the hills.
AC 22; Hp's 31
Moved her 80'. If for some reason I can't, just move me back.
GM Goblin King |
The render should totally hit Reta, but it whiffs. Nothing stopping her from going there.
Velag Wordeater |
To be fair, 30 of that is his boots and cloak of elvenkind, and invisibility.... But yeah, it's pretty snazzy.
Velag looks at the grey thing and snarls back, "Nastyhead...", mentally judging it to be unworthy of touching his person, and pushing his resolve into the declaration as he does so.
He looks at the thing and shrugs saying, "Me go now.", and duplicates himself with a mere thought, then swiftly rushing off to join Reta.
Mechanically...
Swift Action: Activate Judgement (Surged - Resiliency, Protection)
Move Action: Activate Copycat
Standard Action: Move 60'
It's a lot of power-use to avoid an AoO he's already made against Reta, giant massive things don't usually have the Combat Reflexes.. but just in case...
HP: 21/59
AC: 25 / 20 (Touch) / 19 (Includes +3 profane from judgement, +3 more vs. confirmation rolls)
Special Defense: DR 3/good, 1 mirror image
Speed: 60'

Joboo |
Joboo does have Fast Stealth so full move last round to Q-37. Standing still this round.
Joboo chuckled to himself after having found a good spot to wait and see if the monster followed him. He wondered if his fellow goblins were as good at playing 'hide or get clubbed' as he was...no wayses...me da bestest evers...
Stealth: 1d20 + 34 + 40 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 34 + 40 + 2 = 90
GM Goblin King |
The area is uneven rock walls, but the floor seems smooth, as far as your darkvision can tell.
Joboo |
Round 3/8 of Invisible
Joboo was just too damn curious to not go alone...at leasta littles bit mores...hehehe... so he crept down the hallways slightly farther to see if he could tell the source of the blue light...Ooh! Oi! mesa sure hopse its shinies gems and stuffs...
Move to W,37
Stealth: 1d20 + 34 + 20 ⇒ (12) + 34 + 20 = 66
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
GM Goblin King |
drone of pops and hums permeate this natural
cavern. At its center, four clusters of white
crystals jut from the stone, ribbons of bluewhite
electricity crackling over the surface of
each, filling the room with an unsteady white
glow. Wild arcs of electricity leap and dance
between the floor crystals and a fifth crystalline
point halfway up the north wall, forming
a wavering electric pentagon. Within this
fence of lightning
a pile of armor, weapons,
and objets d’art lie heaped, many noticeably
studded with fine gemstones and all made
of metal.
You probably don't want to walk inbetween the crystals and the current running between them. Not that Joboo knows what a current is...
