Roosevelt Foster
Roosevelt defensively casts Color Spray at the troll. Sadly, he can't quite angle it to reach Daktani without hitting Toorg and Fenn as well.
"Man, this room is really, REALLY claustrophobic...either of you gentlemen care to take it outside? Then we could get our dwarven friends involved too. Don't want to leave them out. Ever seen a sad dwarf? It's the worst. They get tears all up in their beards and it's just...kinda pathetic, really."
Concentration Check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19 Success! I don't provoke, which is probably good.
DC 15 Will yadda yadda yadda
Toorg cocks his head and gives Daktani the ol' one-two.
Slam 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Slam 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Or at least the ol' two.
DM ERK
GhaerWillsave: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Daktani 5 ft steps diagonally to be behind Ghaer and one above Fenn. He then flees the room. Rolling acrobatics to avoid AoO from Fenn as he exists to the right.
He looks to be in bad shape and tells the flood troll in Giant "take care of them."
Acrobatics1: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
Acrobatics2: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
just gonna guess that those both succeed at avoiding AoO.
He stops at the end hallway you can see. and pulls out a bag.
Ghaer in the mean time
says in giant "OOOOO PURTY COLORS"
But is unphased by the color spray beyond liking how pretty it looked.
In giant he continues"I save you for later, me want more preeety colors." and moves to Fenn
Swinging twice at the gnome.
tohit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
tohit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Much like with Roosevelt earlier Fenn dodges the 1st attack, but is then slashed across his torso.
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Fennrick Sagebottom
Fenn tries to position a strike on Daktani as he nimble rolls between him and the troll but is unable to find an opening. He decides when the orc is escaping though to try to do something about it. While still insulting the troll, he steps away and tells a horribly corny joke, but there seems to be an undercurrent of magic behind the words.
To the troll, "Hey Greenie! Don't you have a bridge or something to go hide under? You're beginning to bore me!"
Calling after Daktani, "Hey Toorg! Our new friend must be afraid of you, he's trying to LEAF!"
Free Action - Continue to mock the troll
Move Action - 5step to the right on the map toward Daktani
Standard Action - Hope the troll doesn't have a 10ft reach and cast Hideous Laughter on Daktani. Requires a DC 14 Will Save to negate.
I'm not sure but it says if his type is different that he gets a +4 vs the spell. We are both humanoids I think he just has a different subtype. Is that correct?
Rurik Rumnahelm
Move: Climb down the rest of the ladder
Standard: Touch of Good on Malthu: You can touch a creature as a standard action, granting giving it a +1 sacred bonus on attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws for 1 round.
Rurik puts his hand on Malthu's shoulder, imbuing him with a small amount of energy.
Malthu the Redeemed
Nice work bringing down Daktani!
Seeing that the Orc has, somehow, been sent into a laughing fit, Malthu focuses on the task of murderizing the troll now in front of him. Torag's blessing powers his blade!
Earthbreaker, Rage: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 2 + 1 = 19; Damage: 2d6 + 12 ⇒ (6, 5) + 12 = 23.
"Somebody hit this troll with fire or acid!" demands Malthu.
Roosevelt Foster
Oops, I keep forgetting to post-had something typed yesterday but I for some reason forgot to hit Submit.
Roosevelt takes a step to the side, and then another long step backwards. He hurls a glob of acid at the troll. "One acid, coming right up!"
Ranged Touch, into Melee: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
"I have got to figure out how to cast more damaging stuff..."he mutters to himself.
Meanwhile, Toorg roars in anger and charges after Daktani. Upon reaching him, he hauls off and punches at him.
Slam: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Roosevelt takes a 5-foot step to the north, then an extra step to get out of range as a move action. Standard to Acid Orb.
Toorg moves a full 30 feet, which very conveniently brings him right up to Daktani. Then he punches him.
DM ERK
Toorg Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Toorg fails to notice the bear trap primed and armed in the 1st square of the hall. it snaps shut on his leg. escape DC's: Disable device 20, 22 escape artist, 26 strength.
hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 3) + 3 = 12
Toorg takes 12 damage as the trap digs into his leg.
Ghaer bellows in response to the acid burning his skin.
Ghaer continues attacking Fenn.
to hit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
to hit: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Fenn dips out of the way of both attack laughing at the slow stupid troll.
Daktani
will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
spends the round laughing.
Fennrick Sagebottom
Seeing Toorg get trapped Fenn decides it better that the half orc not escape. He ducks under Toorg bark covered legs "Pardon me big fella, we will get you outa there in a few moments... " Clearing the rest of the distance between himself and Dakani, he lunges at the "but I have to make sure this guy gets my point. "
The Mock effect ends on the troll.
Move Action - 20 ft move down the hall hoping for no traps
Standard Action - Attacking the prone Dakani
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
He should be prone from the spells effect there fore -4 AC
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
So close to awesome oh well.
Rurik Rumnahelm
Rurik moves around Malthu to swing his axe at the Troll.
to hit: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Roosevelt Foster
Toorg screeches in pain as the trap clamps around his leg. Roosevelt facepalms at the treant. "Dude. What is it with you and bear traps? I swear, if I have to regrow you a third time because of a bear trap, I'm growing you as a floating puffball or something." So basically if Toorg dies, I'm just fluffing it as regrowing him. Sometimes he'll come back as another type of plant.
He flicks more acid at the troll, happy that it actually seems to be helping this time.
Ranged Touch, into Melee: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
So Toorg can't actually make any of the DCs to get out. However, he does have a special ability where he does double damage to objects. Can he punch his way out of this bear trap?
DM ERK
Indeed, Forgot you posted earlier Fenn.
Daktani Stands provoking an AoO from Fenn. Takes a 5ft step away and then runs down the hallway upwards from you Fenn.
The troll turns to Malthu lets out a horrible bellow and then swings at Malthu
to hit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
confirm: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
to hit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
no confirmation :( sad DM. so he was very angry, but Malthu is too strong.
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Malthu takes 3 damage as the claw slashes into your chest, but your armor takes the brunt of it.
Fenn you get an Attack of Opportunity. In future, do you guys want to roll those or me?
Rurik Rumnahelm
I'm fine with you rolling those for me :)
Fennrick Sagebottom
"Where are you going? The party is just getting started. " Fenn says as he stabs for Dakani's kidney.
Technically Dakani was still under the Laughter spell for one more round. It's up you if you want to adjust or not. If you do, just use my AoO for my turns attack.
AoO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
1d4 ⇒ 4
Confirm: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Crit Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Rurik Rumnahelm
Rurik tries to finish off the troll
Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 2 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
DM ERK
My brain has failed me several times in this combat. I apologize.
Rurik's hammer obliterates the head of the troll. It slumps to the ground gurgling and excreting a copious amount of fluids: blood, bile, and some strange watery liquid.
Daktani
Ghaer
Fenn
Rurik
Rormar
Roosevelt
Malthu
Rormar is up.
DM ERK
Yet another example of my mind rolling a natural 1. Toorg is misplaced on the latest map. He is stuck in a bear trap in the 1st square of the hall leading to daktani. Go ME!
real map, without Malthu's turn. Since Rurik killed it before the turn he posted went off. Also there are doors down the hallway above Roosevelt.
Rormar the Red
Rormar takes a look through over the room gets off the ladder and notices the troll is not looking too well anymore. As he spots the surprisingly quiet Toorg over in the hallway stuck in a beartrap, he runs over toward him and attempts to tinker with the mechanism to finagle it open.
Move action:move to square before Toorg
opening it is a full round, so I'll start it next turn
Fennrick Sagebottom
ok so troll down, not sure if needs acid or fire to finish. Dakani down and at least severely wounded (thinking we need to take him for questioning?)
Roos and Malthu still to act this turn.
Fenn calls out from down the hall "Someone give me a hand with this one, my spells about to wear off. "
Roosevelt Foster
"We're on the way, somebody seems to have planted a tree in the middle of the hallway here."
Roosevelt chuckles to himself. "Get it? Cuz Toorg's a tree, but he usually walks around...oh, you get it."
He steps to beside the door and turns to Malthu. "Seems like it's kinda cramped in there-go ahead of me, don't want you stuck behind yet another person."
Malthu the Redeemed
In the previous round, Malthu will take Roosevelt's invitation and follow Daktani. But can't quite reach since Fenn is adjacent.
"Come back you coward, and fight like an Orc!"
Is there a map update? Malthu's speed is only 30 feet (+10 feet barbarian, but -10 feet because he's wearing medium armor for now, so I can't tell if Daktani is in range for an attack.
Malthu the Redeemed
I don't think there's any rule about moving through an ally's square counting as double movement--though if that's the rule, that's fine. What I was trying to say is that Malthu didn't actually get a turn last round (he had rolled to bash the troll but was beaten to the punch) and accordingly, he should be standing one square behind Finn.
DM ERK
Rules are shady on it. One section of rules states that you can move through an ally's sqaure. Another section describes it as you may squeeze through a square occupied by an ally. When squeezing movement costs are doubled. Overall I find it logical that passing a partially occupied square even if it is an ally.
Rurik Rumnahelm
Rurik will delay till after Malthu.
Fennrick Sagebottom
Was waiting to see if there was any resolution with Malthu. So by my estimation, how far is Daktani from me? Standing up is a move action, he wouldn't be able to 5 step since he is moving. Fenn doesn't have combat reflexes feat so no second AoO for when Daktani runs away. So the furthest I see him being is 20-40 ft away depending on his movement speed.
Would that be accurate?
Who's turn is it?
