Background:
Grew up in the wonderful city of kraggodan to a family of dwarven trappers. Two parents and two sisters as family, we made our fortune hunting game in the outskirts of the, there's plenty of sheep, deer, and other wild game. I specifically specialized in the hunting of small birds, as I always had a seemingly inborn talent for the bow. When I was 14, there was a strange migration pattern with most of the local game, which turned out to be due to a large movement of orcs in the area, which meant that my family and I had to forage further and further from the city walls to find sufficient food to make even the smallest living. Times were rough, but were to become rougher in the near future. Looking back on it, our luck had to run out sometime. On one fateful expedition, as I was foraging in the woods for edible plants, our camp was attacked. The orcs left nothing alive and burned the camp down. I could see the fires immediately, but could do nothing to help; I had no weapons or tools on me. I knew I had to bide my time, but I swore my revenge. The name of the captain of the raiding party, Chief Kroghut of the Defiled Corpse tribe, will be burned into my memory for eternity. I would not return to Kraggodan as a citizen until I enact my vengeance.
After the incident, I focused my rage toward ever perfecting my skill, at first whittling cride bows from yew saplings, but I strove to make my bow an extension of myself. Eventually the thought of losing it altogether again was similar to you losing your hand. I roamed the world for some time, never staying in town, keeping few possessions, until I found a small monastery in the Midspin mountains that taught me the way of the monk, a path I had already begun on. I spent 15 years there under the teachings of Master Mori, strengthening my body and my inborn powers through the use of strict regimens and meditation. Though this I became strong enough that I felt I could trek out on my own and stand a chance against my foes. I decided to travel to the place that I could best begin to enact my vengeance: Trunau, a human settlement in constant danger of orc raids.
When I arrived, I immediately signed up for service in the defense of the city, volunteering to go on patrols, not caring about promotion. I've done that gladly for the past 20 years, gaining the trust and the respect of the patrol captains for my eagerness and my senses, though I do grow restless, for there has been no chance to find Kroghut, so as much as I hate to leave behind the corps, my adopted family, I may have to trek out on my own.
Appearance and Personality:
gruff, quiet, though willing to speak up if there is an important issue. Doesn't like to be the leader, but wants his voice to be able to be heard. As well, has an intense hatred for orcs and must exhibit extreme restraint to not go into a blood rage.
