Okay guys just a heads up recruitment for this will be closing in about 24 hours. I might keep it open an extra how depending on how busy the class I help out in is.

Looking over the Pre-selects;

Anything in the Assault Group even the Hybrids(Ass/Div and Ass/Skill) have the lowest chance of being picked.

As there are 3 Assaults already.
So Arcane, Skilled, and Divine are good along with non-assault Hybrids of them.


So it seems like we have our ranged DPS locked down and we have at least one frontline fighter. So we need Arcane support and skill monkeys.

I challenge the other prospective arcane characters to a hilariously inept bare-knuckle brawl!

P.S. I was able to download the player's guide but can only access it at home. Freya is a proud Andoren so she's going to start as a traveler.


Also, I updated Zaeos' traits, and he should be good to go, but he was made prior to this recruitment. As said before I can change the fluff and alignment if he gets accepted and the DM wishes, but mechanically he is done.


Roidrage, any idea what road you'll take your hunter? Seeing you are preselected I'd like to keep the differences between your character and my Druid as large as possible with the concept I have in mind.

Fluff:

Among the giant tribes of the few things inspire fear, but of those that do the Toecrusher's inspire the greatest. All dwarfs know the skills required to bring down their hated foes of giant-kind and greenskin alike, but it is among the Toecrusher clan it has been elevated to something of trade. Thorgerk Toecrusher is the youngest son in a line of proud and able warriors each bearing a wealth of knowledge and notches in their axes and hammers to prove it. Striking out on his test of skill which requires the destruction of some mighty giant foe, Thorgerk aims to bring down the mightiest. Success assures his place amongst his elder family members, while defeat means exile.

Yet, a dwarfs conviction to his oaths is as hard as the steel in their armor and Thorgerk intends to be the greatest of his clan. Troubles in Belzkan are no mystery and spot of open anger for all dwarves and it is there Thorgerk has set his sights. Gathering his armor and hammer, the young warrior journey's forth to seize his glory.

As I was the first Pre-select who posted with detail, before you posted Kit, which already signaled the odds of an assault type getting picked would be less then 50%.

Yeah, I'm trying to give off the whole, using what weapons we have to survive kind of aspect. But I may become NE over the course of the game as Aaron uses more and more of his new found oracle abilities to further the goals of the group.

I always liked the whole, you don't get a choice this God is using you now, aspect of oracles.

Updated my crunch and added a little background info... I'll write more tonight if possible.

Personality:
Faendor is a hardened young man. He lost his parents and younger siblings to an attack of giants in the foothills north of Riddleport when he was eleven years old. Prior to that he travelled with his bardic parents between Magnimar and Absalom every year entertaining crowds in every city, town, village and hamlet.

Following the events that led him to becoming an orphan, Faendor lived homeless on the streets of Riddleport for nearly two years. Begging for food when times were bad and stealing it when times were worse.

Six years ago he was befriended by a priest of Desna that recognized him as the child of the Fealini, the Songstress. He took Faendor to Magnimar where the teenager lived in the temple of Desna as a studying acolyte.

This past winter, Faendor left the temple as an annointed Cleric of Desna and set out on a journey to explore the land, recruit the faithful and protect the road.

Background:

At first glance you might assume that Rory was raised by wolves. Your assumption would not be too far from the truth.

Rory’s parents grew up Trunau and fell in love in the lull between the storms of combat. Well its more truthful to say that Rory's da grew up near Trunau and his ma Katherine grew up in Trunau; the daughter of the merchant craftsman Rory Tribin. Grandpa Tribin made leather goods, as a matter of fact he supplied the militia with all there leather needs at a very fair price. His specialty was shoes, he had not been trained as a cobbler but he swore it kept him from having any bad habits caused by tradition. Grandpa always said that having never worn shoes allowed him to approach the craft with fresh ideas. Unfortunately his quality workmanship was no contest for the orc quarrel he caught in the eye, defending the wall twenty years ago.

Rory’s Da, Angus Patrick Cornelius, grew up living outside the walls of Trunau in a Halfling hole cleverly disguised as a wolf lair, they called it “wolves den.” He was the youngest son of Sean and Irlana Cornelius, all three brothers born late in life; years after their previous children had died in an orc attack. Angus’ parents had been the last of the “black watch” an Order of the Paw which years ago, with the fall of the sunwall, fought a running battle against the orcs when they had driven the Halflings from their home in the highlands. The order continued to protect the Halflings as they scratched out a living in the lowlands of Belkzen. The order became staunch defender of the Hordeline seeing it as the best way to protect the Halflings and humans living behind it. When it fell the few who survived fell back to Trunau and have been defending it since. At it’s lowest point the black watch had dropped to two riders, grandma and grandpa. With the births of Angus, Ian and Sean that count went to five. While their ranks have swollen comparatively with the explosion of both Ian and Sean’s families Angus had only one child; Rory.

Angus has a gift with the staff sling, even as a young man he was asked by the Chief Defender to teach the militia how to use it. That is where he met Katy, for Angus it was love at first sight. Katy needed some convincing. Eventually Angus’ persistence paid off and she succumbed and with her father’s permission they were wed. Angus left the breeding and training of the wolves to his brother Ian and Sean took over escorting the caravans. Angus moved to town with Katy and her father and actually began to learn leather work. Shortly thereafter the whole family was excited to learn that Katy was expecting their first child. Unfortunately Katy had similar difficulties as her own mother and she died giving life to Rory. Grandpa Tribin lost his daughter the same way he lost his wife. Angus lost the love of his life. He named the child Rory Angus, keeping the promise he had made to Katy.

Rory’s early life had been in the leather shop, Angus felt that staying in town and with Katy’s dad was the best opportunity for the child. He was able to craft the rougher items, and in time Angus became a competent crafter of leather and hide armor. Then during the orc attack 20 summers ago when Grandpa Tribin was killed living in town ended. Angus was not skilled enough to maintain the leather shop and the militia needed to begin importing the leather items they used. Angus and Rory moved back to “Wolves Den”. It had been empty since Angus’ parents had died, both Ian and Sean having moved when they became successful business men.

“Wolves Den” was aptly named. It had been built under a pile of large sandstone rocks, with the narrow entryway in the cleft between two rocks that went back and down fifteen feet. You entered the first chamber, the stables, which looked like an ordinary wolves lair, big enough for a large pack; dug out of rock and sand. The doorway to the Halflings home was well hidden in the rear. The house was carved out of the sandstone itself, what had been natural fissures were now halls and rooms much more space than Angus’ parents ever used.

Angus eked out a living for himself and Rory by hunting and going on raids into Orc territory. So what money they had came from the things they sold: recovered goods from Orcs, the hides of animals they'd hunted and the bounties collected from wild carnivores and vermin. Angus worked tirelessly as a scout and out rider for the Trunau Militia. He continued training the sling to new militia recruits and instructed the cavalry in the finer points of mounted warfare. But he refused to accept money for his contributions. He repeatedly explained that those were his responsibilities as a member of the black watch, even if his brothers had forgotten he would not forget, nor would he let his son.

Angus taught Rory all the histories of the black watch; how they were founded by Lord Cornelius himself, how they were the finest riders of all the clans, how they gave up their clan plaid and took on the black plaid to represent all, how Cornelius died defending the Hold, how the cavaliers of the order died defending the sunwall. How their grandchildren died defending the Hordeline.

As Rory grew he knew he would become a scout and out rider for the Trunau Militia as one of the last members of the Black Watch. Now, a young man, he is ready to prove himself as a member of the order of the Paw.

Just a thought DM Mathpro, instead of selecting two-long shanks you could go with four halflings, same weight and all....just sayin'

Sorry guys would have had this up sooner but Paizo's server was goblin infested again...

So I've decided to run a LARGE group thorough this as I was having a hard time saying no to people...so we're running with 8 yeah you heard me 8 players. Which means other than Roid, Ark, and Ayla we will be taking 5 of you along for the ride. PM's will be in the inboxes of those 5 shortly but I'll also post the roster here.
