GM Chyro |
Clair hit?: 1d100 ⇒ 13
Honcho still lives.
Kenji & Vassago
Kenji Nishida |
Kenji tries again to put a stop to the fight.
to hit: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 1 = 19
dmg if hits: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
1-50 misses: 1d100 ⇒ 54
to hit: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 1 = 11
dmg if hits: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
1-50 misses: 1d100 ⇒ 48
GM Chyro |
Kenji deals a good hackmaker to Brustrani's jaw.
I'll have to check, but i think that disables him.
Vassago
GM Chyro |
No, Bustrani still stands.
Vassago, 1 more proper hit and he goes down.
If not, it falls to Sele to continue tradition of chopping down the villains, lest Clair posts before you.
Vassago Ilsidore |
Vassago goes for the kill steal!
Vassago closes his eyes briefly as he channels more water from the cool air into his hands then launches another blast of water at the cultist leader.
Water Blast @ Brustrani: 1d20 + 6 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 1 - 4 = 17
Miss chance > 20 = hit: 1d100 ⇒ 82
Damage on hit: 2d6 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 5) + 6 + 1 = 16
GM Chyro |
Darn cover, or you'd have had him.
Vassago once again gives Clair a cold shower.
Clair or Sele, who takes the kill?
By last round's posting order, i reckon Sele takes the win.
Sele the Thorn |
Sele goes for the finisher
Greatsword Attack and Damage: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 212d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 1) + 7 = 10
GM Chyro |
1d100 ⇒ 92
KILL!!!
Bustrani takes a greatsword to the neck.
Sele the Thorn |
Sele checks his companions for injuries and then checks Bustrani with detect evil to see if he can find any evil items on him that may have helped this zombie plague
perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
GM Chyro |
Sele finds no items that eminate evil.
He finds the (un)holy symbol of Bustrani's deity.
The symbol of Zyphus, a minor evil godling.
His domain is accidental death. He holds domain in places like abandoned cemeteries and lone crypts.
Sele nonetheless feels an evil aura within the chamber.
More specifically the stone if he comes close.
Sele the Thorn |
Kn Religion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Sele shares the spoiler info with the group
Sele detecting another aura will move around the room scanning until he finds the source.
GM Chyro |
The stone eminates an evil aura, which causes Sele's Detect Evil to give him a slight throbbing headache.
The stone has several hundred HP and DR 5/Magic.
Here's the fork of options: you take the long time to destroy the stone, preventing its terrible necromantic auras from surfacing again.
Or secure it and turn it over to the Society for further study....with the obvious potential implications.
Sele the Thorn |
"Should we take this item back to the society?"
Kenji Nishida |
"I think turning it over to the Society might be best if it's not too large or heavy to move it."
GM Chyro |
In the middle of the dais is a huge boulder which, by all appearances, fell a great distance before crashing here.
:)
Clair Vavassour |
Zyphus, huh? Never even heard of him. This one will be better off serving the Pallid Princess from now on.
"I'll take this fellow's body home. If I take some of the cloaks from dead visitors, I can cover the corpse up. I just have to stitch the head back on at home, and with some help from my dad I can make this one into a fine servant."
Clair takes a look at the huge boulder. "Hmm... It's indeed going to be difficult to get that out..."
"If we can make something to carry it out, dividing the weight between all of us..." She looks around the theater to see if there's anything the party can use to make something to carry the boulder out. (Broken benches, or benches that can be broken into bits we can use, etc.)
GM Chyro |
You're saying that in the presence of a paladin?
The boulder is also very heavy, you need more than just the 4 of you.
Not much of a problem.
Sele the Thorn |
"That the pathfinder society allows someone with your predilections, to be part of them is bad enough, but do not think that I shall allow unholy agendas to be furthered, If I can stop them"
Clair Vavassour |
"Hmpf, I'll just ask Zarta if she can set it aside for me."
Considering the GM says it's not much of a problem, I assume we're able to get some help and carry the boulder out?
GM Chyro |
Having beaten Bustrani and his cult in the theater, you get some of the local pathfinders to help loading it unto some sort of transport.
This, of course, out of sight of the nobles, who are relieved to have survived the dreadful event. An event that now makes for good material at the dinner table, be it of the nobles or your personal dinner table.
When you return to Venture Captain Eliza Petulengro, her beautiful looks still surprising you, she looks up in expectation.
"Ah, you're back.
Tell me, what has become of young Wuthers? After all this time i can assume the worst, but i want to hear it anyway."
Vassago Ilsidore |
"I regretfully must bear the news that Wuthers was not only slain, but transformed into one of the undead. May his soul now find peace in the Boneyard.", Vassago making a prayerful motion as he says that. "If you want some company to help you through any grieving, I offer myself as necessary, my captain."
GM Chyro |
Eliza Petulengro shakes her head.
"Poor guy, he deserved better.
I also received a letter, describing you have recovered some sort of artifact, in the form of a boulder."
She listens to your story of the mission and thanks you afterward.
"Ok, job well done. Get some r&r time, good day to you pathfinders."
Primary objective: Stop Bustrani and his Zyphus cult [V]
Secondary objective: Recover Wuthers' body and notes/letters and bring them all to the Venture Captain. [X]
1 XP and 1 PP.
Clair Vavassour |
First time I don't get the secondary of a mission!
I suppose there's no time left to quickly run back and get the body and notes? Ah well! :P
GM Chyro |
No sweat, the other crew didn't get both targets either.
Hopefully you've enjoyed your adventure here. I know i did :)
