"My guess is that whoever animated the Professor has some use for his daughter. I wonder if the Whispering way is really behind it since they supposedly left weeks ago."
We should stay for the meeting, then check out the cemetery and go back to the prison in the morning.
What does Abe know about wights and how one might become one?
Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Female Dark Elf Rogue 2
Abe, your knowledge roll is enough to know all of the characteristics of wights. They are usually created by other wights or necromancers. They can also be created by proximity to strange necromantic events, which is what you think happened in this case.
You spend an uneasy night resting and caring for Kendra. In the morning, the dawn opens on overcast skies and a dreary fog. After breakfast Kendra is looking much better, but is still somewhat depressed over the affair. You musrt decide if you are going to spend the day in town and then go to the townhall meeting this evening or if you wish to go back to Harrowstone to explore some more.
Female Human Fighter/1, Oracle(Lore)/1
I think that we should continue our exploration of Harrowstone during the daylight. We are fully healed and ready to go. No reason to just sit here wondering if something is going to happen. If we finish up early, we can check out the cemetery again.
Male Half-ElF Fighter 2
"No matter what, we should leave in time to bathe and then attend the town meeting."
He looks around at everyone.
"They're more likely to listen if we aren't covered with dirt, cobwebs and blood."
Female Human Fighter/1, Oracle(Lore)/1
Who knows, if we tell them that we have been battling undead so that they do not, perhaps being covered in dirt, cobwebs and blood might not be a bad thing.
Male Human Sorcerer 2 Arcane Bloodline
"As long as we're back in time for the meeting, I suppose there's no harm in going back to Harrowstone." Aerys considers this for a moment, then lets out a nervous chuckle. "In retrospect, I suppose a ruined prison haunted by murderous inmates is actually full of harm..."
Male Halfling Paladin 2
"Ha ha good one! Let's go back to the prison then, but can we finish breakfast first?"
Female Elf (Forlorn) Witch 1; 6/6 hp; AC: 12, (Touch 12, FF 10); F +1, R +2, W +3, Perc +3/+5 Init +2
"To be honest with you all, how I appear to the other townsfolk is of no concern to me. I do agree we should finish our exploration of Harrowstone today."
Max HP: 16 | Current Hp: 16 | AC 13, T 10, FF 13 | CMD 9 | F 3, R 2, W 6 | Init +1 | Perc +7
"To Harrowstone, it is. But I second the motion on finishing breakfast."
Male Half-ElF Fighter 2
Ricven's stomach growls at the mention of food.
"Sounds good to me."
Male Elf Wizard 2
"As long as Ms. Kendra is alright to be alone, back to the prison it is!" Corey says, standing up to look for suitable food to make breakfast in the kitchen or pantry.
Perception 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
After breakfast, you gather your supplies and head off to Harrowstone. a littlle less than an hour later you arrive at the gates and head into the building. It is just as you left it before.
where to?
here is what you had mapped so far

Male Human Sorcerer 2 Arcane Bloodline
Do we want to wrap up the first level? Looks like there's fun to be had to the west of the entryway. Do we experience the haunt with the slamming doors again when we go back?
Female Elf (Forlorn) Witch 1; 6/6 hp; AC: 12, (Touch 12, FF 10); F +1, R +2, W +3, Perc +3/+5 Init +2
Shol'a'saul looks about her at the forbidding structure. "We should finish exploring the ground level, though I suspect there is little more to be discovered, it is wise to make sure of that."
West area gets my vote.
Female Human Fighter/1, Oracle(Lore)/1
West first, then the last part to the north.
Male Half-ElF Fighter 2
No, the slamming portal haunt was destroyed.
Harrow 11
The door opens onto a corridor with several small offices on its North side. These small offices were each dedicated to handling one of several key aspects of the prison’s operations, such as prisoner files, income, supplies, scheduling, repair requests, and so on. There are papers scattered on the floors of these offices and dust everywhere. They have been well protected from the elements and the dust looks undisturbed except by small vermin.
Female Elf (Forlorn) Witch 1; 6/6 hp; AC: 12, (Touch 12, FF 10); F +1, R +2, W +3, Perc +3/+5 Init +2
Shol'a'saul starts moving through each office looking for any documents related to the five prisoners. "Perhaps we can learn some additional information..."
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Hmmm...lotsa dust here...yeah just a buncha dust, he he...
Female Dark Elf Rogue 2
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Aeleanor tiptoes through the dust.
Male Human Sorcerer 2 Arcane Bloodline
Aerys likewise scans through the documents.
perception 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Aerys nods at Shol. Yep, lotsa dust.
Max HP: 16 | Current Hp: 16 | AC 13, T 10, FF 13 | CMD 9 | F 3, R 2, W 6 | Init +1 | Perc +7
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
Most of what you find is information you already discovered (besides the mundane things) about Harrowstone. Other tha that there is not anything of value.
Male Human Sorcerer 2 Arcane Bloodline
Brushing the dust from his hands, Aerys nods towards the doors to the west. "Perhaps the one on the left?"
Male Halfling Paladin 2
"Yep, left, then right"
Abe keeps concentrating, trying to detect evil things before they become a problem.
Max HP: 16 | Current Hp: 16 | AC 13, T 10, FF 13 | CMD 9 | F 3, R 2, W 6 | Init +1 | Perc +7
Venedictos readies his glaive and points it at the door in question.
Female Dark Elf Rogue 2
Aeleanor opens the door and walks inside.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Male Half-ElF Fighter 2
Goes in behind her, weapon out and eyes open.

Folks, I am extremely sorry for the lack of posting. Life as been somewhat hard lately with Job search and other events. I hope to be able to get on this week and get everything up to date. From then on I should be able to post once a day. Again, my apologies.
Male Halfling Paladin 2
No problem GM Galadad, I'm glad you are still with us, and looking forward to getting the game moving again.
Male Human Sorcerer 2 Arcane Bloodline
Yep - don't let this be a source of stress on top of everything else you've got going on. Post when you can & don't worry. Hope all comes together for you soon.
harrow 12
This spacious room smells of mildew and rot. A long desk and chair sit to the south, while to the northwest a narrow alcove contains a closed safe. Thick layers of dust cover everything in sight. The first thing everyone notices is a sudden feeling of relief. Apparently the rest of the prison has an oppressive aura that none of you recognized until the sudden absence of it. The aura seems to fade slightly with distance from Harrowstone, but it still persists to some degree even in Ravengro. It is only because of the sudden disappearance of the aura that you finally realize it even existed.
Female Elf (Forlorn) Witch 1; 6/6 hp; AC: 12, (Touch 12, FF 10); F +1, R +2, W +3, Perc +3/+5 Init +2
Shol'a'saul looks about her and notices the aura vanishing, along with the lack of any activity in the room. She turns to the others, "Perhaps there is a spirit watching over this room which has kept the evil spirits at bay?"
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Max HP: 16 | Current Hp: 16 | AC 13, T 10, FF 13 | CMD 9 | F 3, R 2, W 6 | Init +1 | Perc +7
"Perhaps this was the warden's office?"
Female Human Fighter/1, Oracle(Lore)/1
It is as though something good is protecting this room. The question is why this room?
Male Half-ElF Fighter 2
Ricven will examine the room to see if this is indeed the warden's office or if there is anything else of note here.
Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
"Does anyone think they could open the safe?"
Male Human Sorcerer 2 Arcane Bloodline
Are there any drawers in the desk? If so, Aerys would try to look thru them for any pertinent notes
Perception 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Very good Venedictos :)
A cursory search is enough to find that this was the Warden's office. There are some papers, but they are out of date. There is also a wall safe behind his desk.
Male Halfling Paladin 2
"I could try to bash it open, but we should try less destructive means first." As Abe hefts his warhammer.
Female Human Fighter/1, Oracle(Lore)/1
Lets let Aeleanor see if she can open it before we begin destroying things. If there is something fragile in there, your hammer will not help it any.
Female Dark Elf Rogue 2
Aeleanor goes to work on the safe, first checking for traps.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
Disable Device: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Disable Device: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29
Disable Device: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
Should do it methinks...
On the third attempt Aeleanor successfully opens the safe. Inside you find a variety of legal documents (all out of date also), along with 500 gp (the prison’s payroll and petty cash fund) and a wooden rack on which sit emergency supplies (four potions of cure moderate wounds, three potions of lesser restoration, and two potions of remove disease).
Male Half-ElF Fighter 2
Once we finish up in the warden's office, Ricven will suggest we finish exploring the rooms on the first floor starting with the nearest one.
I added the items to your treasure list on the campaign info tab, so it should be up to date.
You get the sense that if you had to stay the night or rest, this room would be safe from all spirits.
Male Human Sorcerer 2 Arcane Bloodline
Aerys nods at Ricven's suggestion. "Perhaps we'll find something even more interesting to share at the town meeting..."
