Alright everyone. I got my wifi issues taken care of.

Can someone give me a quick update on what has happened, and I'll try and get a post up ASAP!

We took care of the hoard breaking through the gates, took a quick break with some health potions, then sprinted towards the next thing we need to light. FOund it was rigged to blow, so I'm trying to disable it, but might need an "aid" from "another" to do it successfully.

Sorry y'all I've been absent (again! Man, I'm getting tired of this!), but I got swamped at work, plus on top of yardwork, my dad's asthma acting up (really badly I'm afraid), and looking for another job, I've been very very busy! I apologize for being absent and not giving a heads up. I hope y'all can forgive me.

Having disabled the trap on the beacon, the group lit it but came under attack from a group of orcs behind some standing stones, firing a catapult. The orcs are currently taunting the PCs from the other side of the rocks.

I am on vacation this week until next Monday, Please bot me as necessary. If I'm running the game, I will do what I can to check in, but don't expect much activity from me this week. Thank you.

Welcome back! How was the vacation?

Quite enjoyable, thank you. I got to spend some time with my best friend, whom I had not seen in two years, and we watched the eclipse with her and her husband. We were at 97% totality and my wife could actually make out some of the eclipse through the solar lens that we were using, for which I am thankful. I'm so glad that she got to see it.

Sounds like fun.

I should like to take this opportunity to apologize that the game moves slowly. I am very busy and cannot devote as much time as I would like to this game or my others, but I do still enjoy running them and I'm glad that you all choose to stick with it. Many players would have given up on the game when it stalls, but you didn't and I thank you for that.

Okay, bad news on my end. My computer is down for what duration I cannot say. I might be back online in a few days, it may be a few weeks. Needless to say, this suspends my gaming. I can log on through my wife's computer, but I cannot access any of my files. Hopefully, this will be resolved within a week. Please bear with me.

I'm still here, but I've been busy lately. Can anyone give me a quick update on what's happened.

I've been doing some house cleaning and having a bunch of yard sales while on vacation trying to make some room in my house and straighten up my garage. Again sorry about that y'all. I didn't mean to be absent without telling anyone, I just got busy and it slipped my mind.

Magic Recap: After the battle at the gates, you were dispatched to handle a group of orcs hurling rocks at the town, which you dispatched readily. You then proceeded to the Hopespring Beacon, where you found a tusked giant and its orc handlers, attached by chains to its arms.

So...Norasha?

I know the site's been weird for a few days, but at what point do you think we should bot her?

If she doesn't make a move by tomorrow afternoon, then I will bot her, simply to keep this thing alive.

This week has been extraordinarily busy thus far (today was Christmasing the house), and tomorrow looks to be the same, but I will try to post something by tomorrow evening in each of my games. Please excuse the delay.

Which brings to mind, do you guys want to continue this? I guess that Norasha is a loss, so we will need to replace her if we are to continue, or have we lost momentum to the point that it is unrecoverable? I leave it up to you. I don't mind recruiting and carrying on if everyone is still into it.

Very close. IIRC, this is the last battle in this book.

Honestly, I kind of feel like I've lost it for this campaign. I don't really feel my character any more and things have kind of dragged to the point that it's hard to be invested anymore.

Corric? Rokar? Do you feel the same? I apologize for letting things lapse. It's just that real life has been... well, real.

I'm similar, though I'm still attached to Rokar (and Milani).

I think the best thing to do is finish the book in narrative form (unless we want to actually play it out but interest seems low).

I'd stick around for a re-recruitment if you wanted to run book 2 (or 3 or 4 or whatever) with a fresh group. If you didn't want to, or you don't think you've the time, then by all means don't feel obligated. I'd rather not start something if it's doomed. Either way, thanks for everything so far.

Eh...I'm usually busy by default these days. I do have to agree with Aisha, most updates these days are hide, shoot, hide, shoot. Perhaps it gets more interesting later, but for now, I'm not as invested I would like.

Fair enough. When I get a chance, I'll post a narrative to wrap up the book. Would anyone like a chronicle for this? If so, PM me your email addy and I'll get them to you (though it may take a day or three).

Hello everyone! I want to say I’m sorry for my extended absence. Basically near the holidays, I was experiencing very violent and serious mood swings due to one of my medications causing me to have some bad side effects.

I was taking this medication for my ADHD. However, I was under the impression that the mood swings were due to stress from trying to find another job. But after a lot of research and talking to my doctors, it became apparent that it was my medication to be the cause.

The reason why I fell off the map was because the medicine was also draining me, making me feel like I was on autopilot, and I was constantly on edge.

Now, I’m on another medication that is not causing me to experience mood swings or have a bad temper.

I guess the reason why I didn’t tell y’all was because of I was worried I might snap or lose my temper at the littlest thing. Also, I apologize for not letting y’all know after I was placed on another medicine was because I needed to know if my mood swings and temper was caused by the prior medication (it was).

Now, I’m back. However, I understand that I’ve probably been kicked out of the group, but I fully understand. I wish I had let y’all know about this, but I was just afraid of what y’all would say or do if I told you. I know you have new players and I don’t want to mess up the campaign. I know that in my absence that a lot has happened in the campaign and while I would love to come back, I’m afraid that would be the wrong decision as I would have a lot of catching up to do, plus, I don’t want to overshadow or ruin the rest of the group’s fun as all of you wait for me to catch up.

Again, I apologize for my long absence and I hope all of you will forgive me for dropping out with notifying you. I wish all of you a lot of fun in the campaign!
