Zeviel Grovesong |

I think I'm going to step away from this campaign. I feel like my character and I just can't get a word in edgewise and anything she's put forward has generally been ignored or shunted down. I'm all for different voices, but it seems that her voice has literally never been heard and that's just not fun.
I don't think she's ever said a thing that wasn't argued and gone past.

Very sad to see you go, Zeviel. I hope you can find another group with which you are compatible.
Okay, I will send up a flare for a replacement.

Norasha Mountainrunner |

Sorry to see you to Zeviel. I hope there are no hard feelings. I wish you good luck on your adventures!

Aisha Rageborn |

Sorry about that. I got distracted earlier this week and overlooked updating a couple of campaigns. Won't happen again if I can help it.

![]() |

Sorry, guys. Had a sleep study last night and most of today and I'm out of it. Will update tomorrow.

Norasha Mountainrunner |

No problem. Hope you have a great rest!

I'm making ready for a holiday. I will be gone to Walt Disney World from Nov 10 through Nov 18 and will not have access during this time (okay, more correctly, I will have access, but do not intend to check in). If you are playing in one of my games, please excuse the untimely delay. If I am playing in one of your games, please bot me or let the other players dictate my actions (within reason) until my return.

Norasha Mountainrunner |

That's alright. Take your time and focus on having fun! We will await your return patiently! Take care, be safe, and have loads of fun!

Did you folks want to replace Zeviel, or carry on as the AP originally intended (it was written for four)? I'll abode by the group's decision. If you do want to replace her, you can look for a replacement while I'm gone, if you wish.

Boram the Burglar |
I have mixed feelings, I think a smaller group is easier to keep track of, but I don't want to die because we don't have the bases covered. It seems like Norasha and Rokar will be able to handle the melee and heeling and even though Aisha is 'psychic' she can handle the spell casting. Boram can handle the stupid comments and rhetorical observations.
I'm ok going on, as long as were smart and willing to 'run away to fight another day' so to speak
What do you three want to do?

Aisha Rageborn |

Honestly, I'm fine either way. I'm already planning to be mostly mind f@~&ery and blasting, so I should be able to act in an equivalent role to a sorcerer. However, extra support is always nice, so we could look for someone who could fill a different party roll if we wanted.

Norasha Mountainrunner |

I'm with Aisha as well. Having an extra blaster would be good.

Norasha Mountainrunner |

I'm willing to ask someone if y'all want. Or we can recruit someone. Either one is okay with me. The guy I was going to ask is this guy: http://paizo.com/people/FabianBenavente
He's in my Serpent's Run game. Nice guy and excellent rpger.

Rokar Longclaw |

I don't mind either way, as long as it's done in a way that makes good story-sense. I've got a buddy I could ask to step in too, if that's the way we want to go. Great GM & RPer, we've been in a game together for a few years now. I'm assuming we're looking for a healer?

Rokar Longclaw |

Hmmm, I posted a couple of times with Fabian discussing his ‘turn recaps’ system for a "Dark Sun" campaign he was putting together, seemed like a very detailed GM.
Aisha, I've been impressed with your recruitment with your 'Golarion Apocalypse' any opinions or observations?
oh that guy? i saw some of that. looked pretty cool.
i'm playing a session irl with my friend tonight, I'll check and see if he's interested in proposing a char.

Aisha Rageborn |

Most of my friends are pretty full on campaigns. I can ask around in the games I'm in/GMing to see if anyone's looking for another game and would be interested.

Norasha Mountainrunner |

Talked to FabianBenavente as well. Said he's interested. He said that he might have a character ready by this weekend. I think having two new characters to replace both Rose and Zeviel would be good and bring us back to where we were originally. I've been talking to FabianBenavente a good bit today about the campaign and all.
I hope this is alright with y'all. Just saw the recent posts in our discussion right here.

Norasha Mountainrunner |

He said he was interested was all. Not sure what he's going to play though. He didn't say anything in regards to that.

Norasha Mountainrunner |

Sorry for the double post but I've talked to FabianBenavente again. He's thinking of a dwarf arcanist. He wants to take a good luck at what dwarven clans or settlements might do trading with Trunau. He says he's interested but he's still not sure about being committed to playing (although from the sound of it he might be swaying in the direction of being interested in playing). Said he would let us know by this weekend.

Rokar Longclaw |

No worries Norasha, if we do get both, that would definitely shore up the gaps in the party. I'll see when the WarPriest will be done by. I think my friend's still working his way through reading the gameplay thread and Player Guide.
Anyone else have anyone else they want to throw into contention? Or do we still want to open it up?

Norasha Mountainrunner |

That's true. Let's see what the Warpriest and Arcanist do first. Hopefully they'll have stuff ready by this weekend.

Fabian Benavente |

Hey everyone,
I hope it's OK to post in this thread and thanks for inviting me.
I have rethought my concept and decided to build a geokineticist (earth kineticist). You did say you wanted a 'blaster'.
I am still reading to prepare a good PC; I really want a good fluff.
Below are some concepts that I want to use:
BACKGROUND
Orphaned by giants, small mining community in Mindspin mountains
One of the community's 'traps' failed, previous dwarf in charge was concerned about style and not function
he is a stonemason but not ‘finework’,
In charge of building traps and fortifications
RECENT BACKGROUND/TIE-IN
Has been to Trunau helping out with 'traps and fortifications' with small dwarven crew
He was asked to stay to train stonemasons in Trunau
PERSONALITY
Hot-headed, impatient, practical
Stubborn as a rock and explosive like an avalanche
APPEARANCE
Tattoos, tobacco, red-headed (in a mohawk)
Again, this is just a start and I plan to write fully-fleshed out fluff. However, do you see any 'red-flags'.
Anything I should consider?
How do you see my PC getting tied to your group and/or current 'adventure'.
I look forward to your comments.

Norasha Mountainrunner |

Looks good to me. As you can see we are a fun loving bunch! And personality looks like it might be alright. Norasha tends to be good humored and friendly so they might butt heads from time but not seriously maybe a good ribbing of each other. But I don't see any red flags.
What is your character's alignment?
Since your character is a dwarf and is a geokineticist maybe his deity is Torag or one of the other dwarven deities. Like this guy: http://www.pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Magrim since he's the other earth deity of the dwarf gods.

I'll play this PC being chaotic good, (mindful of laws and such but practical in a sense to get things done).
I haven't thought about deities yet, but I'll come up with something to flesh out his beliefs.
Is it always this quiet here or are you guys in 'waiting mode'?

Norasha Mountainrunner |

Everyone I think lives in different time zones but we do try to keep pace here. But you can say that we don't try to rush things.

Rokar Longclaw |

I think we've kept a pretty decent pace, and (at least I) have moved into a chill mode while Whtknt's away.
I like the outline, and I'm looking forward to seeing the full details. Looks like 1/2 of the party at least will have been orphaned by Giants. Nothing wrong with that, and it might even band us together a bit.
As far as joining the group, the first thing that comes to mind is your character could be the victim of a failed attack, much like we were. That would certainly give us cause to a) meet, b) not suspect you, and c) want to stick together/get to the bottom of the mystery.
Alternatively, maybe you stumbled onto a clue or something?

Ah, so the GM is away; that explains why it's so quiet. :)
On that note, what's typical posting rate for players and GM? What about weekends?
I'll have to read through Gameplay Thread to find out what this 'failed attack' is. And I'm also not sure what the 'clue' is either.
And yes, I guess it's par for the course that in a Giantslayer AP you have some PCs 'orphaned by giants'. :)

Rokar Longclaw |

Yeah, GMs on vacation, expected back the 18th if memory serves? Posting has generally been 1/day minimum weekdays, weekends no promises.
RE: Timezones, I'm EST, but my availability during the day is pretty variable based on work stuff.

Or even a little slower, which is ok, WhtKnt gives us time to keep everyone involved.
My time zone is EST but I post a lot at night depending on my work schedule
How do you see my PC getting tied to your group and/or current 'adventure'.
It should be as easy as: seeing an other dwarf, or hearing the combat in the Inn and coming to investigate or being at the forge in the morning and overhearing our conversation. It just depends where you want to insert yourself in.
My personal preference would be "hearing the combat at the inn" only because Norasha is complaining about the locals
"Aye Aisha it looks like we have stumbled into something big. Or rather Rodrik stumbled onto something and we are continuing where he left off. But right now we need to contact the guard and have them remove these bodies. Don't want people to think we just murdered some strangers. You would think everyone in this place would have awoken up from the battle!"
Seriously is everyone in this town a heavy sleeper!?
Seems like a good place for a brave soul to insert themselves into the adventure "Protecting the visitors" to keep the town from getting a "Bad Name" course it doesn't hurt that we have a hot dwarven maiden with us. She's the one who is questioning the sleeping habits of the locals. It could make for some fun RP, just sayin' ;)

Aisha Rageborn |

Yeah, I'm EST too, though when I post depends on when I have free time between classes. I post more at night and I'm generally up a bit late most nights.
I try to post at least once a day, provided I have something to say. Aisha's a bit shy...
