Seeing the bizarre mage flee north through the walls Cott releases a torrent of virulent profanity that sounds an awful lot like all the other incomprehensible growling he's been doing, then he dashes back through the door into the manor to try and cut off her escape.

Cott will move to northeast of the mage. How many images does she have left?

A few things. Kali, you can't possibly move that far -- a 'run' action (moving 3x or 4x base speed) requires that you move in a straight line and have no obstacles in the way. The most you can do is a double move, which puts you where I've placed you now. Additionally, making an Acrobatics check to avoid an AoO requires you to move at half speed. Somersaulting is not as fast as walking, after all (except in Zelda :P). And Skybek, don't forget the miss chances!

Kali wipes another image with her kick, but Khakil's tripping leg doesn't make contact with the woman. Skybek Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 51 HIT Images, 1 is Hit: 1d3 ⇒ 2 wipes another image with his axe, leaving just a single double left in place!

The group runs after Livilla, catching up after a while. Livilla makes a half-hearted attempt to cut Cott open with her knife. AoO: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 = 9 MISS

Besai keeps on a-running, now truly terrified for his life!

The bodies in the other room continue to bleed. 1d20 + 3 - 12 ⇒ (17) + 3 - 12 = 8 1d20 + 2 - 13 ⇒ (19) + 2 - 13 = 8 So close! And Shem finally expires! Kali feels invigorated! 4 temporary HP.

Livilla is determined to give chase, but decides to take Cott down first. He's in her way, after all.

Heedless of Khakil's words, Besai charges out onto the lawn. Livilla hops through several walls to follow him, this time evading Skybek's substantial axe-swing.

I don't do that for now (would breaking a window bite us in the ass with our host's "don't touch my stuff" fixation), but I still spend 1 Ki for a 20-foot movement speed bonus for the round and double-move.

It's maybe worth noting that the actual rules the society gave us were to not steal anything. The not trashing the place was just a request, not a hard and fast rule. I'm fairly certain that given the damage already done to the estate by the Aspis agents that are here because this jerk invited all manner of treasure seekers to try and come steal the book, an extra broken window wouldn't count too much against us.

Unfortunately, you can't charge her from where you are since I'm where you'd have to end up. Fortunately, with your expeditious retreat, I don't think you need to charge. Then again, perhaps you don't actually mean you're taking a technical charge action?

Skybek does not need the double move to get there. A single move is sufficient. However, he would like the bonus for charging if possible. He does have a clear path directly to that open square. He is running in a straight line with no obstacles in his way, it just happens to be the hypotenuse of a 40 ft by 5 ft. triangle. Kindly let me know, Trex, if you think that charging does not work in this situation.

Hypotenuse is fine by me! There's a messageboard post on the subject by James Jacobs that I can't seem to find at the moment. Basically you can go in a straight line (diagonal or not) that ends in a square adjacent to your foe and you're fine, so long as that's not behind your foe in any way from your original position.

Miss Chance (Skybek): 1d100 ⇒ 79

Skybek's axe finally strikes true, delivering a deep gash to the foe's chest! Quarr flies up and takes advantage of the opening, flinging a bomb that lodges in the woman's open wound. The resulting explosion knocks both wind and consciousness from her!

Out of initiative. You finally had some luck!

On the other side of the open gate, Po stands and performs some slow, mocking applause just as Khakil comes running up on allegro. "Where is she? What happened? Oh oh, haha!"

"Well done, Pathfinders," says Po, "My master will be very pleased." He then collects his lawn chair and heads back into the manor, beginning the long process of cleaning the place up.

After resuscitating an ungrateful Besai and a slightly more grateful Cott (slightly), the party collects their wayward other dinosaur and gets the hell out of Ghennett Manor.

Cott's Health Problems:

Once his wildshape wears off, Cott again must struggle with the chaotic curse fermenting in his veins. However, after transforming a few times during the journey, he manages to shake off the curse!

The party has no problem hitching a ride back to Katapesh. There they are first grilled mercilessly at the Farseer Tower to make certain that they didn't steal anything from the manor, then greeted by an exuberant VC Yuul, who thanks them for their great service and informs them that an anonymous benefactor offered a bounty for Besai's safe return. This bounty she passes on as payment for the trials the Pathfinders faced. Finally, she also grants each intrepid explorer an opportunity to study the Manual for a brief time, offering the chance to learn new tricks and secrets in the art of combat.

Perhaps most importantly, the reputations of those daring few who braved the Ghennett Manor grow great in renown throughout the Pathfinder Society!

Adventure complete! I am finalizing the chronicle sheets and there are two items that need addressing. First, I need to know how Cott/the party wants to deal with the chaos infection. The butchers bill at this point will be one remove curse spell (which Skybek can do himself) and two restoration spells, which will need to be purchased. Second, everyone will gain a permanent +1 dodge bonus to their CMD versus one particular Combat Maneuver of their choice, as part of this scenario's boon. Please let me know what your selection is!

I'm happy to cast Remove Curse tomorrow after I've rested. With my chronicle sheet from this adventure, I've just reached 18 xp. This will put Skybek at 7th level with 4th level spells. I think I know the answer, it doesn't hurt to ask. Will this give Skybek some restoration spells to use on the Chaos Infection?

Skybek will take a +1 Dodge Bonus to CMD for Grapple as well.

You gain your XP at the conclusion of the adventure, and all conditions (except permanent negative levels) must be completed before the adventure ends or the character is marked as dead. So unfortunately, no 4th level spells yet.

As aptly noted by Kali, both Cott and Jenny have Wisdom drain to deal with, so two spells. The total cost for two restorations is 760gp. Split five ways that's 152gp each. Sound good?
