Maddie Sykes |
"This ruined tower is full of strangeness..." Maddie remarks as Sandy opens the door, prepared to fire her crossbow at any aggressor that might be waiting for them.
GM Tektite |
Opening the door, Silvi and Sandy see a huge frog, the size of an ox, sitting in the middle of the room. When it see the the pair, it croaks hungrily and begins to move in their direction.

Taking a brief moment to assess the situation, Maddie waits to see if the others can finish the monstrous frog off before she wastes a crossbow bolt on it.
Readying an action to fire crossbow if the frog awakens again.
Maddie Sykes |
With a sigh, Maddie steps around the frog remains and peers into the room, looking around for anything of interest if there appears to be no additional enemies around.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
GM Tektite |
Maddie's and Han's intial search turns up nothing, but as Sandy examines the room, he finds that cracks in the walls and ceiling have allowed rainwater to collect in the chamber, giving rise to a profusion of molds and fungus along the walls and ceiling. During the course of his examination, he spies a small jade statue of an angelic being lying among debris under a broken table.
Atum Nakhti |
"That is interesting, but there is still something upstairs." Atum says in a monotone voice while standing at the door waiting for everyone to finish searching the room. "Once we take care of it, then we can fix the plumbing."
Maddie Sykes |
As Maddie follows the group up, she addresses the rescued bard, "Mr. Forsend, is there anything else you might know about this troglodyte leader that might assist us in dealing him? His abilities, proclivities, weapons, armor?"
Atum Nakhti |
Atum will stand at the top of the stairs with Sandy and wait for Forsend to finish speaking before throwing the door open and walking inside.
GM Tektite |
Balenar shrugs in response to Maddie's question. I know no more than I have already told you. The few times I've glimpsed him...um...he wasn't wearing armor. He carried a scimitar...I think. he grins sheepishly. I was a little disposed at the time. As Atum and Sandy climb the final flight of stairs, they see above that unlike the other floors, there is no door or landing per se, rather the stairs appear to end on the last level.
Atum Nakhti |
Atum will walk up with his bardiche at the ready and enter the room.
GM Tektite |
As the heros ascends the stairs, they find themselves on the top floor. Glancing around the room, they see a large troglodyte with his back to them. He appears to be staring out the window toward Absalom. Over in a corner, you see a large albino crocodile, apparently napping.

Han moves up to W3 and will continue his tale. "And how the hero tried to fight against Davy Jones, he would fall as he is stabbed right next to his beloved. But before his soul is taken by the goddess, he musters enough strength to stab the monster right in his miserable black heart."
Sandy, The Guiding Orc |
Seeing that his foe is not likely interested in being diplomatic, Sandy strikes before he can gain momentum. "Don't say I didn't give you the opportunity to do this peacefully.
