GM: since this is a module, you actually don't get Day Jobs. I know some of the chronicle sheets have a slot for them, but the Guide says no Day Jobs on modules. They just don't have the manpower to go back and fix all the chronicle sheets. Also that would force them to use a different template for module chronicle sheets.

I have become a tiny bit famous for running PBP mods in record amounts of time. Mists of Mwangi was my all time best with 8 days from intro to chronicles sent out.

I've sorta gained that reputation in real life, but my Mists of Mwangi PbP has been moving a bit slower. Four level ones and lots of bad rolls meant the first two combats took a couple weeks and then they spent a couple days running to the nearest temple to get healed and buy potions. Their witch can't cast spells currently so they have no healing.

That is rough. Lucky I had some experienced players and one of them was playing down so most of the combats were fairly easy for them.


Hey Mike T, I couldn't find anything in the Guide to Organized Play about Day Jobs and Mods. Could you point me in the right direction? My only plaer that has ever done a Mod, didn't have a Day Job, so I didn't pay attention.

page 31 of the Guide to Organized Play, under "Free RPG Day Modules" wrote:

Master of the Fallen Fortress is a Free RPG Day Module, so it falls under the rules for sanctioned modules.

page 30 of the Guide to Organized Play, under "Applying Credit" wrote:
Playing a module or sanctioned content from an Adventure Path from beginning to end earns a character 3 XP and 4 Prestige Points if that character is on the medium advancement track, or 1-1/2 XP and 2 Prestige Points for characters on the slow advancement track. There are no Day Job checks when playing a sanctioned module or Adventure Path.

It's one of those weird module rules that's hidden in there that most people miss, especially because the chronicle sheets have the box for day jobs.

Another note: modules count as 2 tables of GM credit toward your stars (even the shorter Free RPG Day modules).

Everyone should have gotten a link to their Chronicle. A couple of players have already had problems, I apologize and let me know if it doesn't work. Justin found that in pasting the link a space was added, so maybe that it some of the issue. Check the sheets, they are completely filled out other than Player name.
