Han casts a spell and you notice his gauntlet hand glows with a soft blue light. He walks up to Maddie and lays his hand on her shoulder. The light fades as she feels the healing magic flow through her.

"You should get back before they do that again." He advises.

Still smoldering from the fire attacks, Maddie nods to Han in thanks and acknowledgement, before stepping back 5 feet away from the skeleton.
Moving to L14
Ranged bludgeoning weapons are the best mundane way to hurt it. She offers to group before pulling forth positive energy again in an effort to damage the remaining skeleton.

Sandy, The Guiding Orc |
I know this is out of order but I am about to nod off so here is Sandy's action for after the skeletons
Hearing Maddie's advise Sandy holds his ax to the side with his left hand and draws his club as he steps up to the last remaining skeleton.

GM Tektite |
Sorry didn't have a chance to post earlier.
Maddie channels more positive energy, causing the skeleton to burst into a ball of flame. Luckily no one was near enough to be burnt by the last one.
Looking around the room, you see that it encompasses the west and south wings or lobes. Two stone altars, one black and one white, sit at either end of this large chamber. The crumbling remains of wooden benches sag in front of each altar beneath rotting ceiling tapestries. Carved symbols and writing snake along the walls. the burnt corpses of two troglodytes lie on the floor in the center of the room.
Sandy, The Guiding Orc |
"So that is why our scaly friend bypassed this room." Sandy says looking down at the burnt Trogs. "I wonder what this is all about. Any ideas?" He says looking at the alters and walls.
Maddie Sykes |
Maddie seems satisfied and relieved when the last of the undead creatures falls, her attention turning to the other hurt party members. Let me take care of the burns. She opens herself up as a conduit to the positive energy plane again, this time healing those around her.
Channeling to heal (1/5 left): 1d6 ⇒ 2
Thank you for healing me, they were a little more potent than I was initially expecting. She says to Han with a slight smile.
She then looks around the room at Sandy's question, attempting to interpret the decor as well as search for anything valuable or interesting hidden in the room.
Knowledge (Religion)?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Han Van Thao |
"You are very welcome. We all make.. miscalculations. As long as we learn from them, then things are fine." Han smiles back.
GM Tektite |
Between Maddie and Han, the two decide that the room was once a shrine to Nethys. The writings on the walls are quotes from Nethys's holy book. The black altar represents destruction, while the white altar represents protection. The altars still contain their silver services, worth about 100 gold pieces altogether. In addition, a divine scroll rests on each altar.
Maddie Sykes |
She nods simply in acknowledgement to Han, leaving it at that.
Glancing at the scrolls, Maddie wrinkles her nose. I'm afraid I've come ill prepared to deduce the magical writing on these scrolls.
Shrugging her shoulders, she turns to take another greater look at the room. It's strange there were those abominations here. I wouldn't have expected undead guardians in a shrine to Nethys. Apparently, neither did the troglodytes.
Birgit Birgirssdottir |
Mayhaps I can delve the mysteries of these scrolls, if I may see them Maddie Birgit holds out her hand to receive the scrolls, upon handing them over you feel her skin to be slightly colder than normal.
Casting Detect Magic, Read Magic and Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Maddie Sykes |
I suppose we can just hope they were the only undead in this location. I won't be able to do much more direct harm to them until I've had some good rest. I will have to return later to cleanse this place of their taint, or, at least, inform some followers of Nethys about it. Assuming the tower doesn't completely collapse soon.
She gladly hands the scrolls over to Birgit, looking her over inquisitively at the chilly touch. After the other woman has discovered their purpose, Maddie nods. Thank you. Perhaps they might be of some use. Although I'd be lying if I said I hadn't hoped they would be more directly beneficial. I'll keep them, unless someone else thinks they might make better use of them.
She turns her attention to Atum and Sandy. Unless there is anything else, where shall we go next?
Atum Nakhti |
Is this the only room on this level? If so, Nakhti stands near the staircase. If not, he stands near the door to the next room.
Atum is standing sentinel near the door. "Forward" he says with militaristic authority.
Maddie Sykes |
Stashing the scrolls away into her backpack, Maddie follows the group up the stairs. ”It would be prudent to be wary of an ambush...” She utters softly, mostly to herself, as she readies her crossbow.
Atum Nakhti |
Atum walks up front with Sandy, keeping his ears open.

Maddie stands in her position in the marching order, waiting for someone ahead to open the door or continue in some other fashion.

Sandy steps in front of Atum and swings at the same trog, this time hitting it squarely in the side.
Silviana orders her companion to attack while she steps to the side and watches it smash into a trog.

Maddie Sykes |
I'm not sure if you still want us to post out of order, so my apologies if not.
Worry creases Maddie's brow as the situation starts to look a little grim against this larger group of troglodytes. Bowing her head and clasping her holy symbol, she prays to her goddess Pharasma for a bit of her favor.
Maddie casts Bless. Everyone in the party gets +1 to attack rolls and +1 on save throws vs. fear effects for 1 minute (10 rounds).
