Gwion Bach

"Hmm...can't make heads or tails of the writing on this document. Anyone else care to have a look?" Gwion offers the parchment to whoever wants to take it. "On the plus side it looks like our work is done here! Perhaps we should get the katana back to Ms. Li before the Lantern Lodge disbands or something unthinkable like that."
Hamailii D´Arquetai
|
Hamailii casts detect magic on the katana.
Glancing at Gwion she states:
Probably you are right, human things can be so incredibly shortlived. I would like to explore the rest of this keep too though. There might be something we oversaw. For example, what is down that well? It seems the skulk came from there. And we haven´t been in very room yet. Remember the words countless other Pathfinder officials gave us on the way? It can´t hurt to get rid of that unholy alter too.
Ygdnur Copperhand
|
Ygdnur begins to stand, shaking his head. "Ever since I joined this damn society I keep finding myself on the ground! I aught to just go back to trading..." Looking at the Katana he let's out a low whistle. "Will you take a look at that?" He steps forward to take a closer look.
Kuraishimo
|
Kuraishimo will take a peek at the document.
Languagues: Common, Infernal, Abyssal, Tien, Draconic, Dwarven, Orc
"By the way, those Kobolds may wake up soon, somebody might want to tie them up, or make sure that they don't."
Faldoc Tisbane
|
If we are going to keep looking for more documents, lets do something with the kobolds first. I'd rather not deal with them again. Faldoc looks at the elven lady and nods. Alright, you wanna keep searching? Fine. You choose. Where to?
Kuraishimo
|
"I believe we're rich, the holder of this fine piece of paper is due the full support of The Way of the Kirin, inducing naval support worth 50,000gp"
Kuraishimo will carefully pack the document inside his shirt and take out his rope and begin tying the kobolds up.
"By the way, does anybody know who the Way of the Kirin are?"
Anis Aniland
|
Aniland shrugs. "Beats me. I say we try to sell it to someone - perhaps Amara Li or Trade Prince al’Hakam would want it. We could play each off the other, probably get a couple hundred each and leave them holding the bag if the Way of the Kirin no longer exists, no longer has the fifty thou, or is no longer willing to part with it."
Kuraishimo
|
I think I tied them up at some point during the conversation.
Hamailii D´Arquetai
|
Perhaps we could let the gnome or the halfling down there, just to be sure. Of course i would cast light on you before Hamailii says looking at the two smaller ones and then at the rest, with a very serious face. I would really hate it if something comes out there sneaking up in our back. Not that my awesome and exceedingly well formed ears wouldn´t hear that. Probably.
Faldoc Tisbane
|
Let's trust your ears and not investigate a well that may be too deep to fish anybody out of.
| GM Tektite |
Faldoc searches the kobolds and finds only spears, leather armor and slings sized for the kobolds.
Gwion examines the katana and discovers a secret compartment in the pommel. The compartment contains a rolled piece of parchment with writing on it. The writing is in Tien and Kelish.
They did

The party moves to the door to the east. Checking it the door is unlocked and easily opened. Opening the door you find yourself in another large room. This large room is an aged gallery. Its once-decorated walls have been stripped of the original mosaics and its decorations replaced with Draconic graffiti, crudely etched into the walls. Other than the scrawl on the walls, the chamber is noticeably cleaner and less dusty than the dungeon’s other rooms. Milling about in the center of the room are four kobolds. They turn to the party with a snarl and raise their weapons.

Kuraishimo will cast grease beneath the Kobolds and then move around into melee and charge up his weapon.
Grease: Reflex DC 16
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (butter)
EFFECT
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one object or 10-ft. square
Duration 1 min./level (D)
Saving Throw see text; Spell Resistance no
A grease spell covers a solid surface with a layer of slippery grease. Any creature in the area when the spell is cast must make a successful Reflex save or fall. A creature can walk within or through the area of grease at half normal speed with a DC 10 Acrobatics check. Failure means it can't move that round (and must then make a Reflex save or fall), while failure by 5 or more means it falls (see the Acrobatics skill for details). Creatures that do not move on their turn do not need to make this check and are not considered flat-footed.

Round One
Ygdnur rushes in and takes a swing at a kobold, but is off balance and misses.
Anis stomps into the room and yells at the nearest kobold. The kobold is clearly shakened by being yelled at by the gnome.
Faldoc fires off a shot, but misses.
Kuraishimo casts a spell and the floor slickens beneath the kobolds. Two of the kobolds slip and fall to the floor. He moves toward the kobolds, his weapon beginning to glow.
