A scowl visible on his face despite his beard, Rúnar almost asks why a servant would be referred to as "it," but instead, he stands in the middle of the group, no weapon drawn but poised to act based on what they see on the other side of the door.

GM Tektite |

As Gabriel opens the door and Gwion steps in, you notice a small figure on the floor. It has red skin, leathery bat-like wings, and a reptilian tail. It seem to be oblivious to you. As you watch it, the figure takes up what could only be the chest you are looking for, rises from the ground and drops the chest to the floor with a crash. It flys back down to the chest and continues to fuss at it. You hear s small string of what you take to be curses, in a guttural language.
Actions?

"What in the hell... hey you! Leave the safe, this does not belong to you!" With that Ydgnur steps in and walks towards the beast...
Are you rolling our initiative, or do you want us to roll? Nice map by the way!

![]() |

initiative, in case you want us to roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
OK, then, I'll just sit quietly in the back for a while!
Rúnar grunts as he sizes up the creature...
This is probably more a Knowledge(planes) check, but just in case... the following action is assuming he doesn't know anything that makes what he's about to try a bad idea.
Knowledge(religion): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
He steps forward and casts a spell, being careful to not catch his companions in the affected area.
If it's still appropriate by the time it's Rúnar's turn, he will cast color spray with the creature centered in the far end of the cone; Will DC 15

GM Tektite |

Gwion: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Ygdnur: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Runar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Gabriel: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Horvon: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Crondor: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (16) + 0 = 16
Creature: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Init. Order:
Creature
Crondor
Ygdunur
Runar
Gwion
Gabriel
Horvon
The creatures looks up when Ygdnur yells and it hisses at you all. It grabs the chest and flies up into the air disappearing. You can hear it wings beating, moving toward the direction of the bed.

![]() |

I'm on my ipad so I can't move my guy myself, so if anyone else feels so inclined...
Ygdnur moves to the foot of the bed, his axe ready to strike. "Land, you ugly bastard, and get what's coming to you!"

GM Tektite |

The party hears a sinister giggle as the creature materializes next to Ygdnur, lashing out with it's barbed tail.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
The imp's stinger strikes Ygdnur in the unprotected part of his neck. It giggles again see that it struck home.

![]() |

Crondor moves to the foot of the bed, drawing his warhammer as he goes. Right 15 ft, diagonal 5 ft. Readying to hit the creature if it reappears.
Alter that to "Right 15 ft, up 5 ft." Crondor swings his mighty hammer at the creature. I assume I'm using the previous rolls.

GM Tektite |

The map is able to be edited by you guys. Feel free to move your character, as long as it is in initiative order. If you want to post out of order, leave it open and I'll move you where it is applicable.
Crondor swings at the tiny creature, but his hammer merely cleaves the air, nearly taking Ygdnur's head on the back swing.

Rúnar hustles into the center of the room and abandons his first plan, seeing two of his companions between himself and the creature. Shrugging, he sends a blast of force at it, muttering, "If you've been misbehaving, the Paracountess won't mind a little punishment, I'll wager..."
Rúnar moves to where I had moved the token earlier (where he's still located on the map), and casts magic missile.
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

"Aaahh! It stung me the little cretin!"
Ok, I'm not really sure what's going on, was the creatures attack an AoO or was it his turn on the initiative? Because if it was his initiative and Crondor already went that means I should be taking my turn. So I'll post a turn, but his attack was an AoO,then just scratch what I'm about to post...
"You had better watch where yer swinging that thing, yer liable to lose it!"
Ygnur swings with his waraxe
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

GM Tektite |

It was his turn in initiative. So your good.
Ygdnur swings his waraxe at the little monster, but unfortunately his axe only meets air. His repays Crondor's near head bash by nearly decapitating the paladin. Runar's missile of magical force speeds through the air, striking the creature and eliciting a string a curses from it.

GM Tektite |

My bad, I was waiting on actions, forgot you guys preposted.
Gwion rushes over to the bed and grabs up a blanket of velvet trimmed with silk. Gabriel limps over to the middle of the room looking for cosmetics, he spies a small container with a powder puff on the table against the west wall. Horvon charges into the middle of the room, bellowing.
A: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
D: 1d4 ⇒ 4
The winged creature lashes out with it's stinger and catches Crondor in an exposed piece of skin. 4 hp damage and I need a Fort Save.
The little monster cackles at it's success and floats backward a step.
Init:
Creature
Crondor
Ygdnur
Runar
Gwion
Gabriel
Horvon

I'm sorry, the powder puff action was assuming the nasty beastie was still invisible. May I take a standard action to keep my spear under control while I draw it, and then a move action to start and make my way over to the west side of our now non-invisible fiend?

Sure thing

Fort. save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
A cry, half pain, half rage, is torn from Crondor as he steps forward and swings his hammer.
Smiting. AC 19 vs the creature. Bypasses DR. Damage assumes it's an evil outsider (subtract 2 if it isn't). attack; damage: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 211d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Gwion had hoped to use the blanket to throw in the creatures general direction in the hopes of covering it and making it easy to see. Now that the creature is visible once again...
Heck...its still a good plan!
Gwion charges toward the creature and attempts to trap it underneath the blanket.
grapple: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

GM Tektite |

The creature tries to dart away only to be caught in Crondor's hammer swing. The winged thing is batted to the ground severely and smacks into the floor, bouncing a little on impact. It's wings hanging limply, it holds it's hand up in defeat. “Yes, you’ve bested me, but I don’t wish
to leave so soon. Take the blasted box, and tell Mistress.... at which point Gwion jumps on the imp and grabs it in a strangle hold, squeezing off the last few words.

![]() |

Rúnar lowers his hands, as he was just about to unleash another blast of arcane force, and chuckles as his kinsman carries the halfling and the little devil into the Paracountess's chamber. He follows behind with the first smile on his face you've seen since the day began.

GM Tektite |

As the party moves back into the antechamber, you see Paracountess Zarta standing in the doorway. Her eyes widen upon seeing a dwarf carrying a halfling carrying an imp, her hand goes to her mouth and you see her body convulse with suppressed laughter. The imp struggles in Gwion's stranglehold upon seeing it's master. Master, I behaved wrongly and deserve whatever punishment you see fit. Please forgive me. the imp pleads. Zarta regains control of herself and addresses the party. Well done Pathfinders, you have handled yourselves very ably. Take the chest to Valsin, and tell him not to be such a stranger. She almost purrs the last few words. You may let my servant go, he will trouble us no longer. She walks over and and retrieves the imp from Gwion's grasp and exits the room, as she makes her way down the hall, you begin to hear a series of high pitched, pained squeals.
Crondor you made the second Fort. check, so you are no longer poisoned. The Dex. damage stays through the end of the scenario, at which point it will heal normally...unless the party wants to stop by the Temple of the Shining Star during it's travels to see if Ollysta can help.

![]() |

After Gwion relinquishes the imp, Ygdnur not-so-gently lets go of the halfling and lets him plop to the ground. "Well, I guess that's done and over with, let's get this back to the right place. Crondor, are you going to be ok, or do we need to stop by and get you checked out? Might I remind you we're on a time schedule, so unless it's a desperate need maybe we aught to be on our way."
Seriously though, should we go to the temple? I'm not exactly sure what time it is or if we have enough of it to go there and then finish the rest of our tasks. We've only gotten 1 1/2 done, and we've got two more when we finish this one.

![]() |

Rúnar checks his memory of the city's layout. "Let's visit the Osirian noble in the Wise Quarter, since we're close by. Then the last stop would be at the Docks, and we'd have to go through the Ascendant Court to get there - the temple would be on the way."
Rúnar turns to Crondor. "Hold still. Whether this works depends on you."
Use heavenly fire, ranged touch attack (I'm assuming I'll hit from a foot away if he stands still), heals 1d4 hp if Crondor is good-aligned
heavenly fire: 1d4 ⇒ 3

![]() |

Ah, I see. Then I don't see why we can't just go and get Crondor a little aid. I don't know what else we're going to run into and if it's just a matter of stopping in for a bit of healing then I'd say let's do it. That is if Crondor even wants it and everyone else is on board.

![]() |

Ygdnur reaches back to feel his neck. "Ah, yes, his damn tail got me as well, 'tis but a scratch. But, if it's on our way I'll let her look at it."
To be honest I didn't realize I took any damage until the GM doled it out. I was more concerned about Crondor's poison damage to his DEX. Either way, looks like we're stopping in for some healing.

![]() |

Gabriel looks quizzically at the others. The poison is minor, and will pass with time. If someone needs healing of their deadly wounds, I am an able healer, and can heal us all at a moment's notice if necessary. There is no need to delay ourselves asking for healing at the temple.
