Faldoc Tisbane

I do have some silk rope and a piton for you to use, but no hook I'm afraid.
Malik Van'Hilth
|
Malik shrugs. "I'll test it out." He reaches for the rope and cautiously works his way across the log, testing each step to make sure he doesn't slip.
If it is needed: Acrobatics: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12
Badr al Din Ibn Badriyah

I'll go next.
He secures his musket, packs his cartridges deep in his pack, and wrapped in a cloak but keeps his powder horn and shot ready.
Takes 10 on acrobatics = 14
On reaching the other side, he kneels with his musket covering the area beyond the log he just crossed over, watching for a threat.
Ygdnur Copperhand
|
Ygdnur rubs his eyes in disbelief and peers across the stream. Whispering to the party still on his side of the stream,
Acro: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (16) - 2 = 14
Once he gets over he pulls out his axe and looks around, whispering the same thing to the ones who have made it across.
| GM Tektite |
With very little effort, the party crosses the log and Anis is able to guide his mule across the stream. As the party regroups on the opposite side of the stream, the sun continues to lower in the sky. The party estimates that there a couple hours of light left. This side of the stream has ample places for camping, as well, from your vantage you spy a clearing in the distance that looks to be a couple hours hike.

Faldoc sees everyone else readying weapons and thinks it a good idea to do the same by having his bow at hand. Cautious indeed, last thing I want to do is be eaten by the wildlife.
Ygdnur Copperhand
|
"Aye, I don't imagine that my story would go down very well were I to be eaten by a giant cat, now would it?" Ygdnur takes another sweeping look of the area so see if he can find where that cat went.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Survival: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Malik Van'Hilth

Malik looks around to make sure there isn't any direct threat.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
If he doesn't spot anything out of the ordinary he'll find a comfortable spot and work on building a small fire before taking a spot around it. "How should we split up watch? I have no issues seeing in the dark so I'm ok taking one of the late nite watches."
Faldoc Tisbane
|
Works for me.
I will have my bow and longsword with me in the event that either are needed during my watch.
Anis Aniland
|
How this for a watch?
Faldoc/Anis 1 hr
Anis/Tomoe 1 hr
Tomoe/Mallik 1 hr
Mallik/Badr 1 hr
Badr/Ygdnur 1 hr
Ygdnur/Faldoc 1 hrWill that work?
Aniland doesn't want to linger in centaur-eating cat territory any longer than the next guy, but I don't think the party will be able to continue running on four hours of sleep a night for very long. Once we're clear of the current danger, we should switch to a schedule that lets us (especially our arcane caster) sleep longer.
| GM Tektite |
1d6 ⇒ 1
The party sets up their camp and after eating, makes up ther watches for the night.
F: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

After the surprise round
Having barely fallen asleep Malik is awoken by the warnings of his fellow Pathfinders. Not having his armor he stands whispering a prayer to Abadar asking for protection.
Casting shield - AC 12 before spell, AC 16 after.

Faldoc gives the cry of alarm then fires an arrow at the creature.
Bow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
| GM Tektite |
Anis points his spear tentatively at the dark feline.
Faldoc draws back and fires his bow at the creature. The arrow pierces the creatures hind leg.
The creature circles around toward Faldoc, apparently fearful of another arrow.
Ygdnur rouses himself and stands up, ready for an attack.
Mallik stands and casts a protective spell on himself.

Party up !
Badr al Din Ibn Badriyah

The Qadarian, kneels, takes aim at the cat and fires.
Does bless and Inspire courage stack?
Musket 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 1 = 14
Damage 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
He uses a move action to reload with a cartridge.
Tomoe Gozen

Inspire courage is not a morale bonus to hit but a competence bonus, so it stacks. It also stacks with heroism and good hope. Else it would totally suck. The bonus to saves is a moral bonus though.
| GM Tektite |
Badr rolls up to a kneeling position and fires at the feline. The feline howls in pain as the bullet hits its mark. The cat staggers backward and slumps to the ground.
Out of Combat
Suddenly the party hear branches snapping and hoof beats. Out of the shrubbery emerges Urdel and his party. Well done! You have slain the beast. It was with the aid of the spear, no? Urdel throws a bundle of pelts on the ground. If you will let me take the hide of the creature, I will give you these pelts and the spear to keep. The pelts may come in handy if you are journeying over the mountains. It gets very frigid at those heights.
