I had thought I could put the line right in the middle and hit both. If not, I'll hit the man and his dog. That's so mean of me.
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
Obyrn pulls out his longspear and stabs the guard in front of him.
[dice=Spear @ Green FF]d20 + 7
[dice=Damage]d8 + 4 + 3d6"Surprise!"
He then steps five feet back.
I almost completely forgot -- Obyrn has the Aspis Hunter vanity from the Field Guide. If the guards are wearing any obvious Aspis insignia, please add +1 to the attack and damage.

Sry folks ive got an outage starting this week so my post rate will be low for a few weeks..
Lillian speeds her crew up by casting Haste!

Obryn reacts quickly, stabbing the man next to him with a spear!
Tessara steps past Velidor and casts a spell, sending a bolt of lightning arcing through the dog and a guard!
G: 1d20 ⇒ 19

The dog and man quickly leap away from the arc, avoiding much of the damage
Velidor steps back in front of Tess, and readies an attack!
Lillian casts a spell, hastening some of her companion's movements. Obryn is more than 30' away from the front of the group, so you'll have to omit him.
The leader gives the dog a kick and orders it to attack, while he moves up and sneers at Velidor. "Your going to regret messin' round here!"

Yes, the evil leader is Faldoc!

Jaysin retrieves his arrows, including the ones that were lodged in the man's face. Never do that again! You don't know if he is talking to the now dead guard or Obryn.
Assuming someone will oblige, Jaysin offers his wand of healing to someone to use on the sylph, no yet realizing he is dead. When he learns of his fate, Jaysin will suddenly seem much more somber that usual. We need to take care of this. Now. Jaysin will carry the corpse to wherever it is needed and help pay for the necessarily spells.
Jaysin will then ask to be healed of his seemingly superficial wounds before the party departs.

Velidor Gamestalker |
Velidor checks the dead enemies for anything remotely useful to complete the mission......maybe a sudden raise dead scroll tucked away in some pocket...
GM Tektite |
Velidor does not find any scrolls for raising the dead, but on the guards he finds an oil of magic weapon, potion of shield of faith breastplate, light crossbow with 10 bolts, sap, scimitar, and a cloak of resistance +1 on each man.
On the leader you find, a potion of bear’s endurance, +1 half-plate, +1 greataxe, mwk throwing axes (2), cloak of resistance +1, and 16 gp

"Gods be damned, how did this happen? I bet it was this bugger," he says, kicking not-Faldoc. "Well, we'd better get him taken care of, but agreed--Aspis first."
I'll take one of the cloaks and any of the potions/oils unless somebody else wants 'em. I'll also ask somebody for a few hits from my wand.

Velidor Gamestalker |
Velidor grabs the MW throwing Axes. "Here is a potion of something. Is it useful?"
Velidor does not have spellcraft.
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
Lol. I guess we're covered then. :) Obyrn leaps back in surprise as a veritable avalanche of gold comes pouring of of the sylph's pockets and packet. Looking around and hoping no one noticed or heard, he begins rapidly shoveling the gold back into Súrë's backpack portable hole.
GM, do we have a sense that our sabotage has been effective, now that the warehouse is on fire, some boats are sabotaged, and others are sinking?
Velidor Gamestalker |
if the sabotage is complete, the Velidor will heft Sure's body over his shoulder until the party reaches a safe place.
Velidor Gamestalker |
is there no cleric in these parts high enough to raise dead?
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
No, I don't think so--you usually need a 'large city' for 5th level spells. Although the PFSGtOP has some weird stuff to say on that:
"Anyone got a handy haversack?" Obyrn asks. "We've got two things left to do here, visit the Trading Houses and interview the people of Bloodcove. Neither gets easier when you're carrying a body around."
Tessara Omelion PFS |
I don't have a haversack unfortunately. Maybe we can pay for a casting of Gentle Repose while we finish up our work here.
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
Okay, no haversack then.
"Hmm, I guess the best thing to do would be to stash the body until we can get out of here. There's that place where we got the mission report..."
Obyrn leads Velidor and the party down a series of side-alleys back to the cellar where they got the scroll tube, trying to be as discreet as possible.
Kn Local: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

Once there, he opens up the cellar again so Velidor can drop in Súrë's body. Then he goes and buys himself a change of clothes and shaves his head and face with his whetted dagger. "Alright, let's pay a visit to the House of Cartahgen."
