Tessara Omelion PFS |
Tess takes a 5' step back, and uses her Slumber hex on the man threatening her.
Dc 17 Will to resist.
Tessara Omelion PFS |
I think its about time for us to run away, lol!
GM Tektite |
Lillian begins casting a spell! Full round cast
Velidor steps backward and fires his musket! He puts a bullet into the man.
@Velidor: I'm guessing the "3" is a misfire? I believe muskets have a misfire range of 1-2, then using an alchemical cartridge adds "1" to the misfire range. I'm guessing your using the alchem. cartridges in order to get off multiple shots. Correct me If I'm wrong.
1d20 ⇒ 5
Tessara steps back and puts a hex on the blinded man. The man stumbles, then falls to the ground, asleep. If Obryn doesn't drop him with an AoO
Obryn is up!
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
Sorry Jaysin, I was worried that might happen but I have no healing abilities and very limited ranged options. :/ I'll contribute to your raise as well, of course. Assuming the rest of us survive...
Longspear AoO: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 1 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Before I take my regular actions, two questions. How tall is the wagon and how high is the roof?
Velidor Gamestalker |
GM Tektite |
The wagon is five feet tall and the roof is single story, so ten feet tall. Give or take.
Obryn stabs the blinded man right before Tessara puts him to sleep!
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
Obyrn double moves to the north side of the building and gets ready to climb.
GM Tektite |
Obryn darts across the street and begins looking for handholds to climb the building!
As the full damage of Velidor's bullets take effect, the eastern man falls from his wounds.
Attack vs Velidor: 1d20 + 12 - 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 12 - 2 + 1 + 2 = 30
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 8
Attack vs Velidor: 1d20 + 12 - 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 12 - 2 + 1 + 2 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 9
Attack vs Velidor: 1d20 + 7 - 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 2 + 1 + 2 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 11
The woman on the roof fires three arrows at Velidor, but only lands one!
1d20 ⇒ 6
Lillian's spell finishes and the sniper falls to the roof, asleep!
Out of Combat!
Tessara Omelion PFS |
Tess moves to Jaysin, and discovers that he too, has been taken due to his injuries. "This mission is cursed," she whispers. "I've never had attrition like this before. Do we keep heading on and finish this, or do we turn, grab the bodies, and simply try to get our friends returned to life?"
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
"Aye, on it." Obyrn climbs to the roof Climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 on his second try Climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 and ties up the woman with a rope Disable Device: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27 before dropping her unceremoniously to the ground. Falling Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4. He leaps after her and lands gracefully. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25
He then heaves the woman and Jaysin into the wagon. "We should get moving, that will have attracted some attention. And I'd like to have a word with missy here, once we get back to House Cartahegn."
I vote we finish the mission. We'll need to be careful about teamwork/tactics though.
Lillian Woo |
You should coup de grace her instead of that.. 4 damage will not kill her but instead wake her..
"Before you push her off you should put your spear through her eye.."
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
She's currently pinned via my ropes, DC 27 to escape (or DC 24 Str check). I'm hanging on to her bow/weapons; if she gets feisty I'll knock her out. Alive she can answer questions! :)
Tessara Omelion PFS |
Tess scans for magic on any of the items left on the corpses.
Velidor Gamestalker |
Velidor helps Tessara search the dead bodies and then goes over to wrap his fallen comrade up in a cloak and carry him gently to rest with the other.
Jaysin Deckert |
I'd squawk or bark or something but Jaysin has no friends.
Súrë Hísië |
I'd squawk or bark or something but Jaysin has no friends.
:(
Re: tactics: does anyone have a decent Handle Animal? With a standard action to tell Ilivan to attack you'd have another combatant on your side. If you don't think anyone can make the check I guess it's better not to waste the action though.
Velidor Gamestalker |
Velidor has +3 HA, but his HA is more akin to shoot 'em, clean 'em, bag 'em and eventually mount'em on a wall. Don't know if you want him to do that.
GM Tektite |
Searching the woman, you find a potion of cure light wounds, potion of invisibility, potion of blur, +1 studded leather, mwk short sword, +1 composite shortbow with 40 arrows, antitoxin (2), thieves’ tools, and 9 gp.
On the men, you find on each them an elixir of swimming, potion of bull's strength, potions of cure light wounds (2), potion of jump, alchemist's fire, studded leather, masterwork heavy crossbow with 10 bolts, masterwork scimitar, throwing axe, and 231 gp
Lillian Woo |
Where was the elec coming from lol?
Lillian does what she can to help get her companions body in the cart and gather gear..
She passes on any of the gear for now..
Velidor Gamestalker |
no rez scrolls...?
Tessara Omelion PFS |
if no one else seems interested, Tess claims the potions. "I know these will come in handy, especially if we are going to try and finish this cursed mission. Are we ready to go back to House Cartehan now?"
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
"I can make good use of the invisibility, if it's not needed for something else." Obyrn will walk around with it concealed in his hand Sleight of Palm: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (14) + 15 = 29.
I think back to Cartahegn, yeah, unless we still have to make our delivery?
Side note: definitely using that pile of acquired gold to help raise our fallen companions.
Velidor Gamestalker |
"I could use one of them heal drinks. C'mon Squaker lets git going."
Velidor Gamestalker |
2 for Velidor
Tessara Omelion PFS |
Tess nods at Oberyn, motioning for him to open the crate.
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
Obyrn nods in return, stuffing a sock into the woman's mouth. He peers cautiously at one of the crates (Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31, he stops if he notes anything dangerous) before carefully prying loose the lid by an inch to look inside.
Jaysin Deckert |
Jaysin decides that he wants to decay slower than his also-deceased companion.
Sigh. :)
Súrë Hísië |
"Squawk?"
Tessara Omelion PFS |
"Pull that sock out of her mouth...let's see what she has to say that is so all fired important."
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
Obyrn shrugs and pulls the sock out. "Is there something here so important you had to kill my friend to get it?"
Sorry, busy week at work.
GM Tektite |
The woman sighs. "Don't you see? House Carthagen is dealing in native artifacts, artifacts that should remain in Bonuwat hands. They've become no better than those Aspis thugs." She pauses and glances at Jaysin's body. "I'm sorry about your friend, truly, but it is an unfortunate collatoral outcome to our local tribes being robbed. Let me take the artifacts back to the tribes and I'll pledge my help and that of my network."
Tessara Omelion PFS |
"If you would support us rather than those Apsis bastards, we might be able to work something out."
I think this is one of the tasks we were assigned, is it not?
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
"Tell me about your network. What can you offer?"
Tessara Omelion PFS |
"I think I favor House Carteghan. It's he devil we know versus the devil we don't. But I could easily be swayed if someone else cares. "
Velidor Gamestalker |
"I care for neither but a noble house is more apt to retain the public relationship with the Society than a den of thieves, though even if they act honestly in their dealings with the society, are still operating in the shadows and unbeknownst to the public at large. A noble house with the society has a public credibility to worry about. I say the Carteghan option."
Weaver, a Pathfinder |
"It is concerning, though, that Cartahegn would be selling off such priceless items to the highest bidder. We would, of course, protect and preserve them. Not in their native habitat, mind you..."
Obyrn scratches his chin. "The House is an established entity, and may be able to challenge Aspis control their sheer political force. But so could a network of saboteurs, through, well, sabotage. The Bonuwat's network could provide us with these items as well, though we might be able to buy them from the House at bulk rates too."
"And we do have a contract and a history with Cartahegn. Perhaps that would be for the best."
Obyrn looks uncertain about that prospect. If the Bonuwat wants to make a case for herself, he won't stop her. If not, he'll shrug and close up the crate again.
GM Tektite |
Deciding to keep the terms with House Carthagen, the party turns Ungala over to the authorities, and repirts back to Novoria. She thanks you for your work and promises to work hard to ensure the Society is always well-equipped in the region.
Having accomplished all that was expected, you retrieve the bodies of Sure and Jaysin and ready to leave. Exiting Bloodcove is relatively easy, but less than a mile from the city the road leads to a narrow bridge crossing a small tributary of the Vanji River. On the other side of the bridge stands the Consortium agent, Na’alu, accompanied by a strange, artificial looking humanoid. “I’ll be taking those documents back now.” he says smugly, “My employer would very much like to know their contents.”
O: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

N: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Weaver, a Pathfinder |
Obyrn silently draws his longspear, waiting for the inevitable. He glances at the foliage on either side of the path...
Perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27 Anybody hiding back there?
