What would it take to move this rune off of the Falchion onto another weapon?

How do you determine how many runes a weapon can hold?

In the couple of hours we were waiting to heal up could we have moved the rune to one of the weapons we use?


The rules on runes can be found HERE.

It takes a full day to transfer a rune and requires a Craft check.

The number of property runes a weapon or armor can have is equal to the value of its potency rune. A +1 weapon can have one property rune, but it could hold another if the +1 weapon potency rune were upgraded to a +2 weapon potency rune. Since the striking and resilient runes are fundamental runes, they don't count against this limit.

You have been told that Danar's theory was that evil could not be destroyed. Destroy the banes and the evil simply reforms elsewhere. He believed sequestration was the answer.

You've also been told that repairing the Warding Generator (which requires the Staff of Shards) is the only way to seal the Banewarrens.

Mirko is curious why this trap is designed to prevent non-LG creatures from getting in. Haven't all the banes been designed to contain something? This seems like a bank vault door, not a prison cell door.

Yes, this has been explicitly stated by both the Church and the Inverted Pyramid. Please assume that Tung knows this.

So, I've been trying to convey a bit of Danar's story as we go along, but you should at least understand that Danar and his companions were exceptionally selfless and holy people. Danar was a living saint when he built the Banewarrens. But he was eventually corrupted by an evil artifact and became the most dangerous figure in Praemal's history - Eslathagos Malkith, the Dread One. After decades of the Dread One's evil domination of the world, his former companions (including his wife, Parnaith) managed to kill him and close the Banewarrens forever. Or so they thought.

@Silas, for what it's worth, I home rule spending three actions to cast a two action spell. Haven't had it break anything yet but I'm sure higher levels I'll encounter something that will be broken with it.

It's one of the changes that I haven't quite grasped from a game design standpoint as to why you can't do it. I imagine I'll need to put a level cap on readied spells for higher level play not that I think on it a bit.

True. But given that casters were somewhat nerfed in this edition (as a martial heavy player, I'm not too upset...), it seems on brand. However, I'd love to see a trait for spells that could be readied or something. Time to browse the boards for some reasoning behind the design decision!
