This time, with a far clearer line of sight, the hobgoblin on the gate seems to see through the ruse. He howls something in rage, and then grabs a horn from his side, blasting out a loud note! You hear shouts from in the distance.
I've moved the group to the side of the cathedral. The hobgoblin has sounded a warning note - again, we're not quite in combat but you have alerted the town's occupiers.
