Solrisa follows the lure of the harpy's song, as does Mortimer and his horse. Hourpen disappears. Tynan slips into captivation. Ascaria creeps ever closer, as does Eri, who slowly moves to maintain the rear guard.

The singing creature comes into view in the next room west. The harpy swoops down to welcome Mortimer, morningstar in hand.

Morningstar, Flyby Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 damage

As swiftly as it arcs through the room, it retreats to a safe distance. Just behind her, another harpy hovers, smiling at the fresh quarry. It doesn't begin singing, just yet.

Ascaria moves up into the room’s entry and can just see the singing harpy. Doesn’t look all that pretty to me. I don’t know what all the fuss is about. he thinks, though he can clearly see the intent.

He doubts blinding her will have much of an effect on her song, but it’s worth a shot. He casts Burst of Radiance (Reflex DC 18 blind or dazzled rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 1 also damage if evil: 5d4 ⇒ (4, 3, 1, 2, 4) = 14)

He centers the spell just behind her, though it does not reach the other harpy.

Solrisa readies an attack from the rear. Mortimer fires his already-loaded crossbow at the harpy at the back. His aim is spot-on! Any yet, the arrow stops mere moments before striking the creature, falling uselessly to the ground. She laughs mockingly.

Knowledge(Arcana) DC 22:

The harpy has Protection From Arrows currently protecting her.

Hourpen enters the room, and assesses his chances for striking from the wall. As the harpy hovers very near it, it's possible to climb the wall and fight the creatures, as long as they get close enough.

Tynan continues his rapture. Ascaria brings a brilliant blast of light to bear upon the singing harpy! She reels from the pain, and seems affected somewhat by the light, but her song continues to enthrall Tynan.

Eri takes two shots, one which should hit, both which fail to injure the half-bird-half-woman. She smiles at the archer, and excuses herself, pushing deliberately through the room's back mangaroo curtain.

Her sister/partner/friend/ally? swoops through the air at Mortimer again, as she plays with the new arrivals. Hourpen, you have an AoO, if you want to take it and reveal yourself.

"You all are not scaly-skinned, and you think you can walk in here as you please. Once we're done with you, we'll 'play' with Hishka next."

Amusing that the blind gnome would ask for the curtain more than 60' away. The mangaroo curtain is thick, and runs from roof to floor. It will be a move action to pass through it, should the need arise. There is now a zig-zag green line to indicate where it is.

Solrisa stalks with cat-like clunk, readying to pounce if the bird comes too close. Mortimer races across the room, looking for a chance to wrap the bird-woman in a fiery embrace. Hourpen remains unseen, trying to surround the harpy from below. Tynan almost arrives at the talon/feet of the harpy, the song still snaring his mind. Ascaria tries to understand the harpy's invulnerability, but fails. He brings the blast of light to bear upon the poor bird, again. The harpy seems to recognize the gnome's power, and is ready for it, mostly.

Reflex Save v DC 18: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Eri sends a more effective arrow at the creature, striking it despite current protections.

The harpy decides to attack the gnome for its assaults. Unfortunately, it swoops just close enough for Solrisa to step up and hit it on its way by.

The mangaroo curtain at the west side of the room pulls back, revealing a larger lizardfolk. It hisses and snaps, banging its claws against a carapace breastplate.

The other harpy reappears, swooping through the opening, and smashing Mortimer across the forehead, as it takes position in the center of the room.

Hourpen reappears from his invisibility, just managing to nick the harpy from below. Tynan spends a little more time in adoration. Ascaria ends the singing harpy! Tynan's eyes start to slowly uncloud... The song's effects last one round after she finishes singing... Eri turns his magic attack on the fresh harpy instead, wounding it a second time in as many seconds.

The harpy watches as her sister falls to the floor. What might have been a soulful shriek remains a silent scream on her face. She makes no noise whatsoever. She does look over her shoulder, as she sees the new guest entering the room. The look of anger and sadness transforms immediately into fear and determination. She flies straight at Eri, and swings on him, as she leaves the room.

Solrisa marches ever closer. Mortimer throws a massive punch, rattling, but not switching off, the powerful lizardman. Hourpen makes himself scarce, again. Tynan regains his senses in the middle of the room. Ascaria bleeds for brothers, then heals mostly himself. Eri takes a shot at the big lizardman, but his shot glances off the black spider carapace breastplate, impotently.

Eri:

The creature is a lizardman, no doubt. Its ability to spit acid, wholly unlike anything a lizardfolk should be able to do. It reminds you of a black dragon's ability...

In answer to Eri's attempt on the lizardman, the harpy reappears, swinging on him again, now that the acid has been unleashed.

I missed it too, but at the end of round 5 Ascaria channeled and healed the 3 hit points Mort still lacked. In round 6, Mort took 22, 11 of which were restored at Ascaria's turn. If I can do math at all, he should now be at -6.

Solrisa solidly strikes the hovering harpy. Mortimer bleeds nicely, and retreats wisely. Hourpen climbs, spider-like, into the next room.

There is an audience gathered to the north, as well as another large lizardman, waiting for his turn to join the fray.

Tynan joins the fight, his hands gaining their strength. Ascaria continues to heal those incurring injury, covering all concerned with his repositioning. Eri lays into the harpy with a magical ray.

Eri:

There doesn't appear to be any spell effect in place on the large lizard. Its ability seems to be a part of its nature, somehow.

Eri is treated to another flyby, but the injured creature doesn't seem to have her heart in it.
