He glowers at the pair of Champion Lizards and kicks the trident laying beside him away. "One of them is evidently too cowardly to use this as an actual melee weapon, while the other would just as soon spit at a threat than go toe to toe. These two in their cowardice and greed have brought shame and disgrace to this Clan of otherwise Fine LizardFolk."
He turns to the lesser Lizards guarding the door and cocks his head, "Wouldn't you both agree?"

Tynan follows Solrisa toward the foes, then sizes up the defenses of one of the lizardfolk.
(Move + study target. If he can see either the spitter or the trident hurler, he will study them, otherwise one of the guards. I'm not sure what my line of sight is with the canopy opening.)

Solrisa slays the second harpy, then moves to the doorway, readying to injure again should she be confronted. Mortimer stands fast, unwilling to engage the lizards on their terms. Hourpen reappears, slamming the larger lizard, and staggering it! Tynan sizes up the large lizards, readying for his stronger strike. Ascaria translates the giant's words, then wipes Mortimer's and his own wounds free and clear. Eri tries and fails to admonish Kotabas, moving just into range.
Kotabas looks past Shukak, and hisses.
"Heal us, Shesht. It is your duty. Shukak is your king."
Both Kotabas and Shukak appear to heal their wounds.
Kotabas steps up on the sudden attacker, and savages him.

Solrisa lays eyes upon Shukak, stepping up to him, and driving her blade powerfully into lizardman's scaly hide.
Your eyes adjust through the dim light of the mangaroo branches. Shukak stands before you, a pair of black wings extending from his back. Suddenly, a golden light pulses across his right shoulder, under his feathered necklace. It is here your blade finds purchase.
Mortimer also approaches Shukak, and threatens the lizardman with a hard throw of his fist. Shukak's body language adjusts quickly, due to the massive blood leaking from his shoulder, and the giant can't connect to a lowered head. Hourpen steps away, blurring and crackling at the same time. Tynan harries Shukak with the throw of a dagger, which almost surely would have hit had Shukak been free from the crowd. Ascaria feels phantom flense from his friends, as their wounds become his own. Shortly thereafter, he heals a huge amount of damage from his collective. Eri flusters, hoping to contribute to the fight, missing only for the safety of his new companions.
Kotabas looms over the halfling, hoping to rid himself of the mewling backstabber. He continues to hiss over the halfling's head.

Ascaria can’t believe it as Hourpen attacks a non-hostile Lizard Folk. He stands stunned a moment trying to figure out why Hourpen just stabbed him in the back.
”Hourpen! Haven’t you been listening to Mort and I ask you to NOT attack any other lizard folk? Do you not care one whit about your fellow companions that you’d undo all our efforts of diplomacy with one poorly thought out attack?”
”What’s wrong with you?”
As Hourpen goes before Ascaria, Ascaria would have moved up to the line before channeling to try and undo the harm Hourpen wrought. He tries to heal Shesht with his channel.

Everyone please be clear who you're targeting. It's getting a little vague (I can't tell anyway) and that's dangerous here where the DM might rule we're attacking innocents because we were not specific enough.

Hourpen bleeds. He wills himself to stabilize from beyond consciousness, but fails to do so. He lies quietly, rapier falling from his hand, until Ascaria brings his healing burst to bear. Hourpen, you still retain your charge.

Tynan slips behind Kotabas, finding a space between arm and armor, and piercing the crocodile-like hide with his razor blade, although he fails to critically strike, while the halfling lies dormant. Ascaria draws injury unto himself, then heals the collective, yet again. Eri manages to plant an arrow in Kotabas, unable to place it in a more effective spot for greater injury.
Seeing Shukak fall, and feeling steel at his side, Kotabas withdraws into the northern room. He hisses over his shoulder.
"Very well. If this is about the soft-skin hostages, so be it. They must be worth something to you."
Ahead, you can start to make out said hostages, tied up along the walls behind a crudely-assembled throne. A small pile of belongings rests alongside the throne. Kotabas easily makes it to the hostages, where he stands, waiting.
Point of Clarification- As Ascaria does his healing almost last in the round, Hourpen did NOT attack Shesht on his turn, he tried to stabilize, Ascaria did NOT bark at Hourpen for having attacked Shesht, and Tynan did NOT benefit from flank with the downed halfling on Kotabas. Perceiving that Hourpen may have been unconscious at the time he made the reiteration, Mortimer reiterates the reiteration for Hourpen's benefit.
"Do not harm any LizardFolk except the --" his voice shifts to a tone that might contain traces of boredom, "one that just fled into this northern space!!" As he tries to emphasize the word "fled", his voice cracks.

Actually, Hourpen, if your attack never happened, then neither did my little angry post. Happy to converse further with you and Tynan if you like, but see no reason to have our characters argue over something that didn’t happen. Let me know how you’d like to approach it…
Ascaria looks to Hourpen as a few more injuries open up in his frame.* He then looks to the lead lizard, ”He’s going to kill our people! Stop him! Grab him somehow!” he sees the lizard rush from his sight.
He moves up until he can see him again, and tries to blind him - anything to keep him from harming the innocents strung up on the wall.
He casts Burst of Radiance (Reflex DC 18 blind or dazzled rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 2 also damage if evil: 5d4 ⇒ (4, 1, 3, 3, 4) = 15). (yellow dot is the center, so it should ONLY get the lizard, or whatever he is!)

Time dilates, and the world comes to a pinpoint, as Kotabas flees for fell deeds, and the party pursues, understanding stiltedly that the lizard warrior is intent on slaughter.

Ascaria brings an explosion of light to the northern chamber! Kotabas hisses in anger and pain. He also seems to reel strongly from the light.

Solrisa handily misses the lizardman, as Mortimer steps in front of her and grapples the creature, for all its thrashing, injuring it further with fire. Hourpen remains absent from sight. Tynan tries to leverage a strike against Kotabas, but barely misses for all the bodies in the way. Ascaria pleads with the giant to extract the thorny lizard. Eri punishes the creature with a surgical strike of energy.

Marzena, and two other soldiers remain tethered to the walls. A pile of items lays next to the throne. A rustling of activity can be seen and heard from the mouth of the chamber, as lizardfolk move to see the events unfold. Among their ranks, a lizard with coloring on his chest stands quietly, observing.

Ascaria too thinks of the heads, but thinks the better of it with so many watchers. "Yeah, let's leave the heads where they are. I don't want to offend the tribe." Ascaria mutters.
He checks the health of those tied to the walls, as Mort and Hourpen free them.

While others tend to the captured, Solrisa gives the Dragon's Mercy to the fallen lizardfolk, ensuring an end to their hurting and mean being.
"Oh, these poor soldiers," Solrisa saddens momentarily. "But this is why the Dragon puts his foot into the world. To help those that need it." Sol offers a prayer for each of the dead with head bowed.
"Mort, that was some nice singing until they turned out to be bad birds, wasn't it?" Solrisa asks cheerily.

Mortimer gently places Marzena on her feet.

"Oh? I don't think that the -- " he trails off as he turns to Ascaria, finally noticing the audience of LizardFolk. His singles out the one Lizard with the coloring on his chest, and he holds his gaze steadfast.
"Oh! I mean -- I'm sure word will get 'round fast enough anyway..."
"Mort, that was some nice singing until they turned out to be bad birds, wasn't it?"
Without taking his eyes off of the decorated Lizard, Mort replies, "Oh! Yes Sol... I guess, I mean -- it was somewhat alluring, wasn't it? I guess they choose their battle here. They won't be trying that again on anyone soon."
Still regarding the painted Lizard cautiously, Mortimer approaches him and opens is mouth to speak, then suddenly remembers he doesn't know Draconic. "Uh, Ascaria -- can you translate? I think we'd like to leave now, freely with our people and Cinder. I think we'd like to also know if they were put up to this kidnapping and siege thing on the Keep by someone not of LizardFolk kin. Can you manage all that? Feel free to uh, expand or condense or add or ... omit..."
... or change the whole thing completely. I'm no Diplomat.

Shesht continues. "You have done what Hishka and I could not. We have supported Shukak and Kotabas long enough. Too long." He stoops to pick up Shukak's trident. "This is yours. He has fallen, in more ways than death at your hands. He was once a great ruler. Until Ilthane." Hishka shakes his head, agreeing with Shesht's words, in all but words.
Hishka fills the silence assumed by Shesht. "Ilthane is a black dragon. She has provided Shukak and Kotabas strength. She has also promised to protect our tribe. She has even left one of her precious eggs among our own." Hishka points to the southwest, through an arch leading deeper into the complex.
"She put thoughts into Shukak's head. She turned him against all soft-skins. This is why you were attacked. Please. If you will make peace, return to Egorian, and help us. You can explain our hostility, make them see that we mean no further harm. This can become a good thing, your visit here."

Solrisa's eyes perk up at the mention of the black dragon's egg.
"An egg? An egg of the black? May I see this egg?" Solrisa asks smiling eagerly, readying her sword for a mighty smite. "Such things are not meant for the wholeness of life and should be ended immediately."
