Masterwork Backpack is 50gp and might help in the short-term? Also, depending on what armor you're wearing, leaf armor is 500gp and might be available...

Eldak, muleback cords are 1000 gp. If you really want, you can just put a few points in STR from another stat for now and swap it back before you level. I mean - it is permitted.

Welcome aboard, and in about two weeks I'll have a slow spell because I'll be out of town and probably not able to update every day because I'll be at a convention.

Still here, still working on rebuild, should be ready today.

Ok, done updating Ophelia's stat block.

Not much changed. Just bought a potion of Cure Light, wand of Cure Light (spending prestige), and replenished my used oil flask. Also, used first level rebuild to trade out a skill rank in knowledge: local for profession: sailor, since that goes with her back story better.

But most of her gold is saved, since I'm saving up for a mithral chain shirt.

Buying a masterwork backpack for 50gp. Can I sell my old one?

That's what most people seem to think, but it doesn't say that in the rules anywhere.

The rules say that it's GM discretion as to when you can aid on skills. So I think most GM's treat knowledge skills as trying to remember something you may or may not have learned, and assume that this is an individual effort.

But I personally disagree about that. Working in a technical field, I've often had situations where multiple members of a team know different parts of something that we need to know. Together, we know all the details about something that no one member knows entirely alone.

So personally, when I GM, I do allow aid another on knowledge checks. But if the DC is above 10, you still need to be trained to attempt it.

The DC for the K: Local check was 15...

Basically, you can - but you need to have ranks in it.
