Just so folks are aware, I have played this scenario before as it is an evergreen.
While I have roleplay in mind for the character, I will also be taking a bit of a backseat to other players and characters unless it's obvious that rolls or the like are needed.

I've played The Confirmation multiple times already. Ophelia isn't that big on talking or knowledge, so she won't participate much in the parts that require decision making.
PFS #: 38137-20
Day Job: Nope
Init: +6
Perception: +7

I have played all of the Evergreens and GMed most of them, as well, so I will step back from decision-making unless it looks like we need a push.
PFS#: 73433-12
Day Job: N/A
Initiative: +4
Perception: +1

Hey, GM - I don't know if you noticed or care, but when I pulled up my character (made some time ago) I couldn't understand the logic behind a number of things, so I reworked it a bit. Just wanted to let you know, in case you already looked it over and made notes.
The basic approach is a charmer to draw them in, and then a wild animal to tear them apart. The weapon is more for just getting into position. I am interested to see if this works or not... I usually do not play low Int characters, but the concept sounded good when I started.

GM Evil, I hope everything's ok. If there's too much going on at home, and you need to cancel the game, I'm sure we'll all understand.
Kaa, my nagaji hisses when he speaks, too, so I'm kinda used to it.
I don't think I've ever been a table with two tengus before. It made me consider the plural of "tengu", and it just seems like the singular and plural of the word should be the same, with no "s" on the end. But I just checked the Advanced Race Guide, and it clearly uses "tengus" as the plural of "tengu". That just sounds wrong.
Speaking of race names that end in vowels, I just noticed that the ARG says the plural of "nagaji" is "nagaji", but the plural of "grippli" is "gripplis". I wonder who made these decisions.

![]() |

just call them frolicking feather friends. you can hiss there as well. and while i get your point - both tengus and tengi sound wrong somehow.
the gm metioned they have a kiddo on the way, so i am assuming that's their reason for a hospital visit, but if that's not the case - hope all is well.

When I saw the tengu twins, I almost brought my own!
I just decided to create a tengu, nagaji, and kitsune in case they pull these from TFS. (I missed tiefling and aasimar). I like my kitsune (musket master, smart ass), and not sure my tengu has enough depth (also a gunslinger, but a crossbow ace this time). And this is my first try with a bloodrager, but it looks like it could be fun.
Anyway... I am just rambling now....

Everything is ok guys. It wasn't really anything serious, just a "better safe than sorry" kind of visit. The only reason it held me back from posting is that I had forgotten to take my laptop with me. I'm definitely not canceling the game guys. There might be a couple of blank days here and there, but I want to get each scenario done in roughly a month or so. Gameplay update coming soon.

Ok. I'm good now. Had a huge issue with my wifi and my data on my phone over the weekend, and it's all sorted out now. I'm catching everything up now. Sorry for the delay guys. I know "real life happens" and all that, but I know how annoying it is to get a game started and then get hit with delays.

![]() |

No worries, though we're at a weird point where those of us who have played can't do anything except a little side rp until you infodump us, so all good.

![]() |

Ok guys. Post coming tonight. I'm on my way back home from helping the FBI in an investigation. I never have the opportunity to post when that happens. I'll be home in about 8 hours and then I'm going to info dump the hell out of the thread and get it started.

![]() |

Are you sure you should be sharing that kind of information, sir or ma'am?
That all said, look forward to seeing the post.

![]() |

Nah, it's no biggie to say that's what I was doing, I just can't tell you what we were investigating.
Though, it wasn't anything terrible.

As a heads up, I will be taking the Illinois Bar Exam on Tuesday and Wednesday and travelling to Chicago on Monday. I am aiming to still get posts up, but I cannot promise that it will happen.

![]() |

I'm in the Chicago area.
If you come in a day early, you can join us at Games Plus in Mount Prospect for a PFS game. Or you could play Monday night at the Dice Dojo on Chicago's north side. But I suspect you're going to be last minute cramming for the big test and not have time for gaming or socializing much while you're here.
Let me know if you want to meet up while you're in town, though. I'm actually northwest of Chicago, near O'Hare Airport, so it may or may not be convenient, depending on where you're staying.

![]() |

While I would love to get in some time for PFS while I am in Chicago, I will be hitting the study materials hard until Wednesday evening when I plan on hitting the great craft beer scene. Will probably spend a good amount of time at Begyle's tap room.
That being said, if you want to meet up for beers on Wednesday, then let me know! Shoot me a PM with some contact info and we can do something about it!

Yeah. I'm going to have mark the game as inactive. I've been in the hospital vet since my last post because we're going through a pretty severe miscarriage. It hasn't been good and it doesn't look like it's going to let up.
I apologize guys. I hate to be the GM that jerked everyone along. I'm going to mark the game as inactive and hopefully once everything calms down and my family is healthy again I will give it another swing.

![]() |

Sorry to hear that. It's terrible news. I'm sure everyone here can understand. Real life is real life and takes priority. Take care.
edit: that being said, i might run these scenarios. though i don't have the confirmation, i have several level 1 scenarios in my library so i'll substitute that with something else.
first i need to get some know how on how to run these on the forums. i'll check for some know-how and make a post in the flaxseed thread in a few days, since i'm a bit busy until the end of the week.

There is a reason I told Microsoft to take their Win10 and shove it where the sun don't shine politely declined their kind offer to downgrade my machine.

NotEspi |
Okay, people - just a heads up for you. I will be traveling this week so things might be a bit slow on my end. I'll have my laptop with me and will try to make a post at least once a day, BUT - if that is not the case, just letting you know in advance. I'm leaving tomorrow evening and coming back Tuesday next week.

![]() |

Thank you very much for the warning, and you did give us a warning at the start as well that this is your first PbP as GM.
This means that they take a little bit longer on the first go as things get worked out, as well.
*hasn't run on PbP yet, still trying to get pacing for 'in the flesh' at conventions down, different dynamic than previous living campaign he was involved with.*

![]() |

Sorry about that. I am travelling at the moment and fully expected to be able to post over the last few days, but my luggage with the laptop and phone chargers got lost. I'm back now, though!

![]() |

I am going to be scarce for the next 3 days. I might check in from mobile, but my posts will be few and far between until Monday. Thank you for your patience!

Does the proper gillman ceremony involve a toilet and flushing?
Is probably going to a nasty place when death arrives.

GM NotEspi |

I wouldn't worry about it. Nothing interesting ever happens with only prudes around. As for gillmen funeral rituals, I don't know of anything canonical so I'd rather not dwelve in it too much. You folks tell me your plans for the immediate future. I won't be able to make any lenghty posts or map editing today. Tomorrow morning at best. On phone at the moment.

Feza's ready to explore the rest of this place, just waiting for someone to do it because kind of taking a back seat to the new players to the scenario.
