Jarreck Lightfoot

As the tumor falls to pieces under the combined attack from the ankylosaurus and Omo's bombs, Jarreck releases the tension on his bow returning the arrow to his quiver. Sliding off the top of the tube his left knee buckles slightly from the hit it took when the trap caught him unaware. He walks over collecting the spent laser pistol, holding it up toward Omo. "You said that was a work shop back there, think you could use this as a basis to make a working copy that can be reloaded?" Nodding towards Guaire he agrees "Man, you stink."
Walking towards where the trap set off he stops and turns back to Seven, "Can your new friend walk point Seven, doubt a little rockslide will slow him down at all" Jarreck will follow behind the dinosaur, hiding behind it but keeping an eye out for trouble.

"Unfortunately not, Jarreck. That would require a military laboratory and someone how could make advanced weaponry. Maybe one day I'll be able to access that kind of programing in Mr. Hellion."
Guaire
I feel like Tommy Lee Jones, eaten by the giant cockroach, just three times worse. >_>
Guaire coughs, as he gets to draw proper breath again.
"Yeah, it's giving nasty acid burns.
But you two wouldn't smell too good either if you had been swallowed whole like that."
Guaire swipes off the worst of the goo, and with a frown he adds,
"If whoever locked it up is alive and down here, i've got some words with that person."
Seven.teen
"A logical idea Jarreck." replies Seventeen in her customary monotone. She then turns towards the hulking monstrosity she'd summoned and in the most incongruously bossy voice demands, "Tiddles. Forwards! Do not step on the elf or anyone else for that matter."
She directs it to move past the blockage.
Gee it has a +14 perception score too. Not sure if it'll fit past that narrow easily but meh it'll make a good bulldozer in a pinch with it's stupid high str score.

A9. Demarcation Line
The collapsed stone here splits the immense manufacturing hall in half. The jagged rock fall does not quite reach the south wall, leaving a space ten feet wide that allows access into another large chamber beyond. The floor is littered with bloody clumps of flesh and broken machinery shaped like arms and legs.
The Ankyolosaurus smashes through the area, leaving rubble in its wake and clearing a safe path forward.
Al0. Robot Battlefield
The western half of the manufacturing hall contains immense cylinders, bins, and furnaces covered with thick layers of dust. Evidence of an ancient battle remains here and there on the walls in the form of scorch marks and broken machinery. In particular, the heaped remains of a strange insectoid automaton lie in a ruined heap to the west, partially buried under fallen rocks.
Assuming the party presses on...
All. Guard Post
A line of runes is printed above the two doors on this room's western walls. Several tattered, strange suits of armor hang in shreds from hooks in a wide alcove between these doors.
In Androffan, the doors to the South are labeled "Canister Access" and the doors to the North are labeled "Nanotech Laboratory"

Knowledge: Engineering: 1d20 + 18 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 18 + 2 = 28
"Oh! These are the remains of a powerful robot called a Myrmidon. It had impressive rockets. Let me see if I can salvage any part of it for Mr. Hellion."
Can he?
When they see the nanotech lab and canister access, Omo gets excited. "More canisters? This could be a godsend we should be careful of more swarms though."
He moves into investigate -- first to the lab, careful for traps. Perception: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 14 + 2 = 34
Guaire
As the Ankylosaur dozers its way through the facility's interiors, Guaire shakes his head.
"That beast could have wiped the floor with much we've seen thus far.
I was wondering what the heavy impact from earlier was."
GM Niles Iron Gods
The robot remains are ancient...thousands of years old and unsalvagable.
Omo searches the closed doors to the Nanotech Lab and finds them untrapped.
Jarreck Lightfoot

Jarreck mouths "Tiddles???" as the huge dinosaur passes by, shaking his head he follows close behind. Moving across the ancient battlefield he eyes the remains of the robot Omo identifies, with a squeeky bit of awe, as a Myrmidon; personally glad it is no longer functional.
As Tiddles comes to a stop on the far side of the room, Jarreck moves forward with Omo to check out the doors presented taking the south doorway as Omo takes the northern one.

Seventeen follows Omo and Jarreck and turns round and beckons to the dinosaur and shouts, "Tiddles heel!"
The dinosaur eagerly crashes after her sending tremors through the metallic superstructure and causing dust to be displaced every time one of it's feet thunderously hits the ground.
Just outside what Omo figures was a guard post, Seventeen bossily commands Tiddles to, "Sit! Stay Tiddles, Stay! Good boy Tiddles. Good boy!"
She then peers into the room Omo opened and whispers to her brother, "My new assertiveness routines appear to work well."

Jarreck enters the southern doors This hallway has doors at the north and south ends. A bright orange hexagonal sigil adorns an immense metal door to the south. A porthole-like glass window is set into the door at head height.
Meanwhile, Omo enters the Northernmost doors.
The walls of this large room are lined with dark panels of glass, tiny buttons, and other mechanical devices. A set of metal tanks sit to the west, while a chair mounted on a swivel on a short platform sits to the northeast. To the northwest, a section of flooring has been ripped away to expose a tangle of metallic plates and coils of brightly colored cables. Two round tables sit in the room's center.
while examining the exposed flooring in the northwest corner of the room reveals that the plates and cables are an immense power conduit capable of accepting electrical charges, whether via a battery, a generator, or spells like recharge.
Omo hears an invisible voice call from the Southern reaches of the room
"Have you word from my master?"
Omo Nijj
I thought I posted, but then realized that I had not, while thinking "wow everyone must be busy." :-p
Knowledge: Engineering: 1d20 + 18 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 18 + 2 = 34
Instantly wary, Omo tries to determine if this voice is coming from the machinery or from some invisible creature.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 14 + 2 = 35
"I must confess that my answer to that question depends on who you are and who your master is. I am Omo. What is your name?"
Guaire
I got the feeling those rolls are related to my time in the blob.
I can take 20 on linguistics, right?
Guaire follows Jarreck. As he (Jarreck) stands observing the room, Guaire takes a closer look at the strange symbol.
"I'm no expert, but that looks like a warning sign to me.
I'd hate for another one of those 'things' to be in there."
GM Niles Iron Gods
The voice is almost certainly that of an invisible creature
My Master is Xoud, Furkas Xoud. I have waited here patiently for some time...names have Power Omo. You may call me Wind.
Omo Nijj
Knowledge: Planes: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 2 = 14
In all the excitement, Omo forgets information he already knew.
"Hullo, Wind. Did you say Furkas Doud? The Smoke Wizard? I cannot say that I have made his acquaintance. May I ask when you last saw him?
Did he order you to kill future explorers of this ship? If he did, I must strongly object. Are you bound here in some way?"
Seven.teen
Seemingly uninterested in the invisible creature, Seventeen moves a little distance away from the invisible creature and sitting crosslegged she starts to read a book.
Of course she was intensly interested, and wanted to know what it looked like. There was one spell she knew of that could attune the caster to all things ethereal. She just had to look it up!
Using quick study to swap protection from technology for see invisible. That's the last of her Arcane Reservoir gone unless she sacrifices a spell. Sadly she doesn't know glitter dust sorry folks.

No linguistics taken, so not able to attempt the check even though Jarreck speaks the language based on Numerian Archaeologist which states "You’ve studied the strange language associated with these eerie technological ruins, and are eager to start exploring them—you suspect that Torch’s namesake is in fact part of a larger buried ruin, and you hope to enter these ruins and learn their original purpose by exploring the caves below town. You gain Androffan as an additional language." oh well
Jarreck studies the rune along side Guaire but after a moment shrugs his shoulders. "Sorry can't make heads or tails of it myself, but perhaps you are right, we should have Omo and Seven take a look at this before we move forward. Will you get them, gonna test the place for radiation. Don't believe we have done that yet since we dropped down here."
While Guaire steps away to get the others, Jarreck retrieves the radiation detector from his pack and sweeps the area.
GM Niles Iron Gods
Normally yes you could take 20...but it seems to me like Linguistics is one of those skills that precludes taking 20. However, its fine if you look at it and assume it means something bad.
In the other room, Omo and Seven palaver with the invisible creature Wind
I am bound here by Xoud, he left me here. I do not know how much time has passed, time has no meaning to a creature such as myself. Can you free me? Can you send me back to my home?
Jarreck does not detect any dangerous levels of Radiation.
Seven.teen
There are spells that can do that. E.g. Dismissal. That's a lvl 5 mage spell, but it might be possible to purchase a scroll.
Seventeen cocks her head while she considers the creature's request.
Kn:Arcarna: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22

"Bound? That sounds awful. To what purpose would he subject you to such a fate? We may be able to help you, but I'm not sure if we have the tools with us presently. Sister?"
GM Niles Iron Gods
Then you are of no use to me. Begone. the invisible creature growls.
At this point its a Diplomacy check to get him to talk again
@Seven What's the roll for? Seven would automatically know what types of things would dismiss an Outsider, I figure that would be covered in Arcane Spellcaster Class 101. (Dismissal, Plane Shift, Banishment)
Omo Nijj
A little miffed that the air spirit didn't even wait for verbal confirmation from his sister before getting huffy about whether they could be of help, Omo continues to wait for his sister's response.
You would think that immortal spirits for whom time has no meaning could at least not interrupt and wait to hear whether they could be released or not.

Seeing no signs of radiation, Jarreck tries to bide his time waiting on the siblings to return and see if they might interpet the rune above the door. But while he does so he checks the door over well, and verifies the locking mechanism is operational and unlocked, occasionally sticking his head up to look through the porthole making sure nothing is happening on the other side as he fidgets.

Seven.teen
If you want to make that ruling then I'm not going to complain!
Seventeen tells Omo and the creature, "It cant be done right now, but we could arrange to send you back home. In situations like this some kind of trade is customary, such as information in exchange for a ride home. If we agree to do this, what can you tell us about this vessle or your master? We don't need specifics now but a general indication would help."
GM Niles Iron Gods
I'll need a Diplomacy check to get the creature to respond.
@Omo It's a nanotech lab...so whatever you imagine is in there is probably in there. Are you going to search the room?

I'm Guessing Guaire hears some sort of squeek, or 'aah/ouch', well enough to sense something's wrong.
At the sound of something in the other room, Guaire quickly taps Jarreck.
"We've got company, over at Omo & Seven's."
If the square i'm pointing at isn't occupied by Mort, Guaire moves over and figures he'll just have to swing at squares near Omo, until he'd hit something?
If you think that plausible.

About to open the doorway to the next room Jarreck stops and nods at Guaires warning, steel glinting in his hands as they both hurry to the next room.

The actions of others were ever pulling to Seventeen and she remarked, "Foolish creature, we would have sent you home."
Marshaling her her inner forces, she concentrates on an exercise to transform one kind of energy to another. The ying for her yang. Quick question Niles, would that had been a hit if I'd put the symbol I meant( < ) and not the symbol I did( > ). Had intended low, per your usual, hence 51-100 would have been a miss.
Frustrated at being hit twice by the unseen attacker, Jarreck steps back retrieving the shield extract Omo gave him and swallowing the contents down in one gulp. (AC 23 - for next 8 mins)

She spent another arcane reservoir point to boost the CL by 2. She's now out of 1st level spells and down to 2 arcane reservoir points. Next round she'll be acting as spotter for you all I suspect as she has no damaging spells left that are applicable vs a foe of this nature.
