'I would like to keep the initial gestalt to two classes for now' So... just Paladin/Sorcerer to start with? Taking Dragon Discipline later?

Also, why not post the updated character creation guidelines in the Campaign Info or something? Makes it easier for everyone to find it and keeps it all together neatly for people to go back and check whilst making characters.

Does the effect of Clustered Shots apply to dealing 50+ damage when using a Called Shot?

Edit: Forget it, I guess all attacks should be made at the CS penalty, which would make most of them to fail.

On the bright side, that means that there's an opening in one of the hotly desired tank slots, so that's good.

Through... you never did answer if we can extend the amount of times I can have my claws out from my sorcerer draconic bloodline.

I'm going to claim the DPS Rogue slot in game 2, if that hasn't been taken yet. Not entirely sure what's going on, since I came into the thread so late, but I'm assuming it means that you're running two campaigns.

I'm a tiny bit unclear on the wondrous items we're allowed. Do we have a cost limit? Or am I allowed to just get a Belt of Giant's Strength +6? Cause that sounds like a bit much.

@ Alynthar42: Check Campaign Info for the updated guidelines. Marking you in the second Campaign Thread as the Rogue DPS.


And are monstrous feats allowed? I want Improved Natural Weapon, Claws. RAW, characters technically *can* take monstrous feats, they're just unlikely to qualify, but I know some DMs object to that.


@ Alynthar42: You just want the Improved Natural Attacks feat? That sounds fine to me. I'll assume that it's main use is for when you're transformed, right? If so, you need to pick another feat that it changes to when in you normal form. It should be something similar but reflecting the different form. Sound good?


Oh. Wow. That's generous. Thanks. Could it just shift from his claws to his bite? Cause if he's not in his mutagen form, he's still gonna be in his skinwalker beast shape, whenever he's fighting.


Mr. Brooks isn't a very good fighter. Ham, on the other hand, is terrifying.

How much actual cash do we start with? I need to know to figure out how many potions I can make.


@ Alynthar42: Details, man, what kind of potions do you want and how many? Be reasonable and you'll probably get 'em. Personal, on-hand wealth won't be calculated until just before we begin.


What about the Amulet of Mighty Fists issue?

Here is Professor Brooks' character sheet. This is my first time creating a character like this, so I'm going to ask for help. I still need 2 Rogue Talents, 1 Discovery, and magic items. Any suggestions?


Ummm... I would probably make at least two or three potions of Barkskin, several CLWs, and at least one Disguise Self, Invisibility, and Heroism. I don't really know, to be honest. I'm new to high level gaming.

What levels of Talents and Discoveries are you still needing? For Wondrous Magic Items, what were you having issues with? As far as your Amulet of Mighty Fists, it's a smart way to add an enchantment to your natural weapons, due to the cost you can only grab a +1 obviously.


I'll accept that feat thank you very much! Through is the elemental damage enchantment active for 3+Cha rounds per day, or do I active it, and its active for X rounds, and I can do so 3+Cha times per day?

NEW FEAT:

Draconic Talons

Requirements: Draconic Sorcerer Bloodline, Claws (Su), 7th level

Description: Your dragon-like claws have grown into wicked talons capable of retracting into your now larger and scaled fingers and hands.

Benefits: Your Claws(Su) ability is now always active granting you two claw attacks each dealing 1d6 damage for medium creatures. You may enhance your claws' damage a number of times per day equal to 3 + Cha Mod with 1d6 of your associated energy damage. The energy damage remains in effect for 1min/Sorcerer Level and so long as your claws remain extended.

As a swift action you may retract or extend your talons. While extended the talons interfere with your finer dexterous hand movements incurring a -1 to Craft, Disable Device, Perform, and Sleight of Hand skill checks. While retracted you do not have the above-mentioned damage or have claw attacks.

So, does that mean 'No, you cannot trade your +2/+2 Weapon for an Amulet of Might Fists +2/+2'? Because that is what both me and Alyn asking.

I'm also asking if I can trade my +2/+2 armour for something else? Like a Body Slot Wondrous Item? Or Braces of Armour?

The Talents I have would have been my lvl 2 & 4 talents, so 6 & 8. The Discoveries are my lvl 2 & 6, so a lvl 4.

As for magic items, I hadn't noticed that the guide I was using had a whole section devoted to them, so I'm good there. I don't have anything for the feet slot, so I'm open to suggestions there, but I think that's all I'm missing. Also, I don't have a clue where to even start regarding armor enchantments, so help there would be nice.

As for the AoMF, could that count as my magic weapon instead of a wondrous item, for purposes of cost? That would allow me to get a +3 instead of +1, and since Professor Brooks is entirely natural weapon based, the free magic weapon doesn't help me.

@ Fury of the Tempest & Alynthar42: The Amulet of Mighty Fists fused with your magical weapon bonuses actually sounds pretty ingenious, nicely done. I'll give you a +2 general bonus on the Amulet, a +2 enchantment bonus, and Grow as a bonus enchantment. The resultant amulet is called the Amulet of Growing Menace.
