When Goryon gives Unafe back control of her body, there is a long moment where she can't even make sense of her senses, and forgets to breathe.

Then, with a gasp, she responds internally to Goryon, Yn enw ein hynafiaid i gyd, ni fyddaf yn eich siomi. Hallit: In the name of all our ancestors, I will not let you down.

Looking around, she calls out, "Cynghreiriaid, amddiffynnwch eich hunain. Mae'r lle rydyn ni'n teithio iddo yn ddi-aer a di-swn. Gall Goryon amddiffyn Sicrwydd a fi rhag y gwagle, ond nid pob un ohonoch.

"Ac mae'n rhaid i ni frysio. Mae yna rywun y mae'n rhaid inni ei achub, ac mae ein gelynion yn eu hela wrth inni siarad."

Hallit: "Allies, protect yourselves. The place we journey to is airless and soundless. Goryon can protect Sicrwydd and me from the void, but not all of you.

And we must make haste. There is someone we must rescue, and our enemies hunt them as we speak."

Then, turning to the Demetae, she calls out, "Fy clan, amddiffynwyr llw y Sauriaid mawr, trwy ewyllys a doethineb ein hynafiad Goryon, mae gennym obaith newydd heddiw. Rwy'n mynd i ymladd, ond gydag arweiniad yr hynafiaid byddaf yn dychwelyd yn fuan."

Hallit: "My clan, sworn protectors of the great saurians, by our ancestor Goryon's will and wisdom, we have new hope today. I go now to fight, but with the ancestors' guidance I will return soon."

With that, she eats the mythic goodberry that Ehren had given her, and motions for her allies to jump with her into through the portal.

Li'an watches in amazement as the being possessing Unafe, Goryon, conjures up a stone ring and uses it as the basis for opening what she assumed must be an interplanetary portal to the comet above. It dawns on her quickly that the space beyond was what the prophecy was speaking of. It stood to reason, therefore, that they would be heading into the portal shortly.

When Unafe regains control of herself, Li'an's hunch is confirmed. With only a moment to spare before heading in, Li'an quickly casts stoneskin on Unafe, thinking it best to protect her before they head in.

"I am ready Unafe, lead the way!" she calls to her massive half-saurian companion. Turning to Auraelia, she shakes her head. "I need you to stay here Arie, it's too risky for you to be there when we don't know what we'll be dealing with." Auraelia, for her part, doesn't put up too much of a fight. Instead she gives Li'an a hug around the neck and flies off outside the radius of the ring, lest she be sucked up into it. "Be careful in there! I don't want to have to explain to Pulura that I lost you!"

Ehren peers into the vast emptiness beyond the portal, realizing that he is about to be the farthest from home he has ever been – his visit to Heaven notwithstanding. For just a moment, the archdruid closes his eyes and focuses on the sensation of the ley’s soft thrum against his soles. Wherever the gateway Goryon opened leads, he doubts the world’s touch will reach him there.

“Come now, Unafe. Let’s not abandon all pretenses of caution,” he chides, well aware that they do not have time to stand there crafting an elaborate plan. Nor will they interrogate Goryon about such frivolous details as where they are going, who they are trying to save, or what enemies await them on the other side. Common wisdom teaches that haste makes waste, but ancient wisdom teaches that hesitation is death.

He pulls some of Mother Heartwood’s blessed fruits out of his pouch and hands one to Unafe, Myrna, and Hinagiku. Though she had mentioned that its magic would not work on her, he handed one to Li’an anyway; if it came down to it, she could always share it with someone else. Finally, he takes a large, juicy bite out of one for himself. The spell in the fruit’s flesh immediately fills his body with a pleasant warmth.

With everyone now prepared for the sheer cold that awaits them, Ehren moves on to address the small matter of their destination being completely unlivable. Borrowing the ley’s power one last time, the druid produces one of his most potent protective spells, a barrier that sustains all life contained within. After enveloping himself with the invisible bubble, he bestows it on Myrna and Hinagiku, the former with a firm grip on the forearm and the latter with a tender hand squeeze.

Standing before the yawning portal, Ehren tightly grips his staff. "Now, then."

Ehren, Unafe, Myrna, and Hinagiku all have resist cold (CL 12th) for 2 hours. Li'an has a fruit that will fill her belly if she eats it. Ehren has 15 wumpa fruits left.

Ehren and Myrna have life bubble for 7 hours each; Hinagiku has it for 8. ;)

While Lieutenant Medici was well-prepared to face the dangers of the Worldwound, with prayers focused on frequent conflicts with demons, she was not ready to be sucked through a portal to a faraway rock. Without the protection of the Archdruid, she could not accompany her Captain on the trial that awaited them. But she knew she couldn't leave Myrna to go with nothing, so before she ran away with wild abandon, Beatrix leaves Myrna with a protective blessing. An aura of goodness surrounds Myrna, granting all within it a protection against compulsions.

"Good luck," she says.

Beatrix casts magic circle on Myrna. Duration is 80 minutes.

Ready for treachery and surprised by a glowing interplanetary portal, Myrna's eyes widen as she reflexively draws her axe and shield. "By the Mother..." she mutters as she gazes at it. Then, over the howling of the wind, she hears Clan-Liege Unafe and the Archdruid declare that they would immediately jump into the portal.

With Beatrix's blessing, and the Archdruid's fruit and protection, Myrna steps up. "You're not going without me!" she cries. She starts running towards the portal, her legs tensing for a mighty leap. "In fact, just try and beat me to it!" Without waiting for anyone, Myrna leaps for the portal, trusting that her new allies would rush faster at her haste, and knowing that the Demetae chief was much, much faster than she was.

Concerns quickly vanish from Hinagiku’s mind as she watches in awe Goryon conjure a gate and freeing Unafe of her control. Upon the clan liege’s call, she approaches the gate with the other. There, upon its threshold, she stares into the desolate gray landscape, not realizing what or where this truly is. She eats her fruit, smiles back at Ehren and steps behind the rushing Myrna.

WotR Global Buffs/Debuffs: ----

The Demetae villagers watch in disbelief as the pulsing portal appears in the clearing, surrounded by their roundhouses. They have never seen such a display of magic before and are overwhelmed with a mixture of awe, reverence, and fear. The air is filled with whispers and gasps of amazement as they gaze upon the otherworldly sight. It seems to radiate a powerful energy that they can all feel.

True to his word, Lann had accompanied Hinagiku and Ehren in support of Unafe, albeit he could only watch respectfully as the Kellids all chanted and gave speeches in a language he does not understand. Despite his limited understanding of the Hallit, he can sense the reverence and respect in the air. Now, Lann stands among the Kellids, trying his best to hide his disappointment as he watches the Archdruid distribute his protective magic to the other heroes. The Underfolk Crusader had watched in open-mouthed amazement as Goryon summoned the portal and feels a yearning to explore what lies beyond. But he knows his own abilities pale in comparison to the others and decides to step back to avoid putting anyone in danger.

As Ehren prepares to enter the portal, Lann approaches him with a smile. "Ehren, I'm glad to have come and support Unafe, but I think it's best if I step back now," he says. "I don't want to get in the way of the real heroes and put anyone at risk. I'll keep watch for any external threats and be ready to help if needed. If you need me, just let me know. I'll be waiting here with Auraelia and Lieutenant Beatrix."

Myrna jumps through the portal first, her body floating slowly to the ground due to the weak gravitational pull on the asteroid's surface. As she descends, she takes in the desolate, inhospitable surroundings. The rocky landscape is covered in broad stripes of grey and brown, displaying the countless layers of rock and sediment that had accumulated over time, eons ago. The ground is littered with boulders and sharp rocks, making it treacherous to navigate. Behind her, she can see an identical portal to the one Goryon summoned back at the Demetae village, and she can just barely make out the shapes of the surrounding round houses beyond. A powerful bitter wind rushes out from the enormous stone portal, adding to the already inhospitable conditions. In the distance, jagged rock formations tower over the landscape, casting deep shadows. The sky is a deep inky black, dotted with twinkling stars. Just moments later, Hinagiku gracefully enters the portal and joins Myrna.

Before the two women can get their bearings, four elementals rise from the ground, emerging from the rocky surface like monolithic beasts. Their massive bodies tower over them, their forms seemingly carved from solid stone. Their faces are twisted in anger, their stone fists clenched and ready to strike.

Environmental Effects in Space

In space, take 1d6 cold damage each minute (no save) and 1d4 nonlethal damage (DC 15 fort save).

In space, you can jump 5 times as high and also lift 5 times as normal. Ranged attack projectiles (both magic and mundane) have quintupled range. Fall damage is halved.

Without protection against a vacuum, one takes 5d6 damage every round (no save).

There is no air in space. Message will work normally as long as one has a localized source of air, such as through life bubble. So, at the moment, Ehren, Myrna, Hinagiku and Unafe will be able to communicate in space using message. But Li'an will not be able to hear or speak through the spell.

Unafe, Li'an, and Ehren begin combat 30' feet away from the portal on the other side (your tokens are already on the map for convenience). You cannot clearly see through the portal enough to attack at range or cast spells through the portal. Message does not work for creatures on opposite ends of the portal.

Ehren, since he can summon earth elementals, can easily recognize the earth elementals as greater earth elementals. A DC 29 K. Arcana check will allow another PC to know what he knows without needing to communicate with him.

Ehren and Hinagiku fought a clay golem before - in the underground menhir chamber where Hinagiku was born. They are able to recognize that two of the elementals are not elementals, but rather, clay golems. They remember their strengths and weaknesses. A DC 30 K.Arcana check will allow another PC to know what they know without needing to communicate with them.

Realizing the cold that they would be dealing with was due to the emptiness of the airless space beyond, Li'an has no choice but to tap deep into her reserves of raw magical power to protect herself. While she couldn't benefit from the berries that Ehren had provided, she could at least use magic to adapt herself to the environment, much as she'd used endure elements to limit the effects of the low temperature on her.

Expending 3MP to cast planetary adaptation (Void), 12 hour duration

Once shielded, she runs towards the portal, jumping up into the air as she passes through it to the other world. Once through, she immediately recognizes the foes they face as consisting of two greater earth elementals and clay golems.

On the surface of the space rock, Myrna has the opportunity only for a few moments to marvel at the clearness of the sky before hostile earth creatures are constructed before her very eyes and raise their blunted weapon-hands to menace her and her allies. Stepping protectively in front of Hinagiku, she summons the strength of the earth and of her ancestors.

She hums a deep tone, a tone which vibrates in her breast and prompts a peculiar head-tingling feeling in those who hear it through their communication spell, granting them a supernatural awareness of their allies and enemies. At the same time, the power emanates from the ground, up through her, and across her allies' skin, giving them a powerful protection against harm.

"You are a real hero, Lann," Ehren says sincerely, clapping his friend on the shoulder. He gives it a light squeeze. "Do not worry, my friend. I will tell you all about it when we return."

Turning back to the portal, the druid laughs when Myrna rushes right past him, jumping headlong into a distant world. A mere week had passed since they first met, and she agreed to join them. But here she is, risking life and limb to help Unafe fulfill her destiny. Before he can follow, the four massive elementals appear on the other side of the portal, wiping the smile from his face.

No, only two elementals... Ehren is quick to realize, recognizing the slight artificiality of the creatures in the forefront. Those two were far more dangerous.

"Unafe, the two smaller ones are impervious to magic," he warns, knowing that communication will be far more complicated once they have passed through the portal, even with Li'an's message spell. "But your adamant fists should make quick work of them. Just take care - the cursed wounds they inflict cannot be easily healed."

That said, Ehren rushes forward and jumps through the portal, joining everyone on the other side. Right away, he has to contend with a condition he had not foreseen; his descent is entirely too slow, the earth's pull on his body far weaker here than back home. When his bare feet finally land on the asteroid's surface, he immediately reaches out with his senses, wondering if this place is as lifeless as it appears. Either way, he would have to make do.

Eyeing one of the clay golems, the archdruid furrows his brow, aware that most of his spells would be useless against it. Drawing on the incredible power inherent to his very being, Ehren visualizes the spell he desires - a recreation of the great geysers of Ein Tiriâ. Channeling this power into the ground beneath the golem's feet, he allows it to build in intensity before thrusting his palm upwards, unleashing an eruption of scathing water.

Ehren attempts to use place magic and then spends 3 MP on inspired spell, casting geyser at CL 12 (or 14 if place magic works) on the indicated spot. Clay Golem #1 has to pass a DC 22 Reflex save or be jettisoned 60-70 feet into the air (or higher if low gravity applies).

The Demetae clan-chief sees the clay golems that Ehren points out and bounds closer. By the Green! I feel like I could almost float away here. Or leap and touch the very firmament!

Perfect silence and a feeling of levitation are what Hinagiku notices first upon passing the magical conduit. It almost felt like meditation, so much so that the monk closes back her eyes to fully sense the flow of the world around her. But, what greets her enhanced senses is not the peace she expected, but the distinctly familiar presence of a golem. Motioning blindly for others to quickly join them, Hinagiku then rushes into the inhospitable terrain to meet with the construct before it can act. Along the way, she lets one hand hang by the side, fingers spread, to grab strands of ley. Once she has cleared the gap between the golem and herself, she knees it in the shin, just enough to destabilize it for Unafe to come and take it down.

WotR Global Buffs/Debuffs: ----

The clay golem is sent soaring into the stratosphere by the explosive burst of scalding water from the magical geyser. The low gravity of the comet causes the golem to fall back to the surface slowly, providing the group with a momentary respite to focus on their other foes.

The steam from the geyser also envelops Li'an, Myrna, Hinagiku, and Ehren, quickly solidifying into a layer of frozen droplets from the extreme cold. However, the geyser itself remains a liquid column as long as the archdruid concentrates on maintaining its spell. Despite being struck by the geyser, the other golem and the earth elementals appear to be unscathed, their tough exteriors shielding them from the full impact of the boiling water.

Ehren:

Ehren's connection to the ley, the life-giving force that flows throughout the world, is typically a source of great power for the archdruid. However, as he reaches out with his senses, he is met with a starkly different reality. Instead of the pulsing and vibrant energy he is accustomed to experiencing on Golarion, the ley on the comet is a faint and distant echo, weaker than he has ever felt. This unsettling contrast to what he knows prompts Ehren to question if this inhospitable place could sustain any form of organic life. Despite the odds, he musters the determination to focus his connection to the ley, drawing upon its weak energy to fuel his magic. He knows that in this trying environment, he must channel all the power he can muster to defend his allies and defeat their enemies.

Hinagiku:

As Hinagiku reaches out with her senses to feel the ley, she is struck by its unusual frailty. The energy that normally pulsates and crackles around her is now reduced to a mere whisper, a faint echo of what she is used to. Despite this, Hinagiku can still feel the familiar essence of the ley, and the connection it provides to her is as comforting as a warm embrace from a loved one. She wonders what has caused this land to be so bereft of life energy, and if perhaps it was once part of a much larger landmass that has since been shattered and separated.

Despite the weak ley, Hinagiku is determined to make use of it. She reaches out and grasps onto the fragmented strands, using their faint energy to bolster her physical abilities. With renewed strength, she moves towards the clay golem, ready to face the challenge ahead.

As Unafe plunges into the portal, she is overcome by a sudden burst of energy that floods through her saurian form. The air around her shimmers with a pulsing purple light that quickly coalesces into an armor-like shell, encasing her in a protective cocoon from head to toe. The armor is intricately designed, featuring a fearsome saurian-shaped helmet that sits upon her head. The magic within the armor hums with energy, actively working to maintain her body temperature, provide her with fresh air to breathe, and guard against any potential threats. Sicrwydd is also protected from harm, surrounded by a sparkling sphere of crystalline glass that serves as its own personal shield.

Hinagiku and Unafe make a formidable team, their skills perfectly complementing each other's strengths. Hinagiku's lightning-fast reflexes and agility allow her to deftly dodge the golem's heavy swings, while Unafe's immense strength and raw power enable her to overpower the massive construct with ease. Hinagiku's precise and calculated strikes weaken the golem's balance, leaving it vulnerable to Unafe's crushing grip. With the golem under her control, Unafe holds the thrashing construct firmly in place, its bulky arms flailing in a desperate attempt to escape. Despite its frantic struggles, the golem is no match for Unafe's powerful grasp. The golem's movements become increasingly frantic as it tries to break free, but Unafe's grip remains steadfast, and its attempts to escape are ultimately in vain.

Unafe:

Goryon's voice echoed in Unafe's mind, radiating a sense of calm and authority. "Afreidiol, ieuanc," she says. "Paid ag ofni. Yr ydym ar y seren grwydrol, neu réalta fánaíochta, fel y gelwir, er mai camenw yw hyny. Ni bu y lle hwn erioed yn seren wirioneddol."

Hallit: "Unafe, young one, do not be afraid. We are on the wandering star, or réalta fánaíochta, as it is known, though that is a misnomer. This place was never truly a star."

“Rydyn ni yma i achub ffrind, rhywun wnes i guddio yma er mwyn ei diogelwch ers talwm,” she continues. "Os oedd fy hud yn wir, ni all hi fod yn bell o'r lle yr ydym, ond rhaid i ni frysio. Mae ein gelynion yma eisoes."

Hallit:"We are here to rescue a friend, someone I hid away here for her safety long ago. If my magic was true, she cannot be far from where we are, but we must hurry. Our enemies are already here."

The first of the two massive elemental monsters, at 36 feet long, sprints towards Hinagiku with impressive speed. Its sheer size and power seem to make it nearly impossible for Hinagiku to evade its attack. Despite her best efforts, Hinagiku is unable to defend against the monster's overwhelming strength, and she finds herself being knocked off balance.

Just as Hinagiku is trying to regain her footing, the second monster unleashes a powerful blow, sending her flying through the air and crashing into a rocky outcropping, though even this doesn't make a sound. She tumbles to the ground, dazed and disorientated, trying desperately to regain her balance. The first elemental monster sees its chance to strike again, and with a force that could crumble mountains, it launches another devastating attack, causing the ground to shake beneath Hinagiku's feet as she is hit with pulverizing impact.

Li'an laughs as one of the golems is sent up into the sky, though no sound issues forth in the void. Despite the protection of her magic, she feels the cold enveloping her as she moves further from the rush of air coming out of the portal. That sensation is replaced by warmth briefly as boiling hot water from Ehren's geyser rains down on her, but that pleasant sensation soon vanishes as she tries to shake off the frost forming where the droplets had hit her.

Drifting further out, she watches as Unafe and Hinagiku team up on the remaining surface-bound golem, rendering it unable to attack. The speed with which the earth elemental closes with the monk surprises Li'an--and apparently Hinagiku as well, as she gets sent flying--and convinces her that disposing of them as fast as possible is important.

Targeting the space between the two elementals, she quickly unleashes a fireball, her ability to ignore the rules of normal magic casting allowing her to bypass the inability to vocalize in the void.

As Li'an unleashes the fireball, targeting the space between the two elementals, an erupting ball of flame engulfs the formidable creatures. The intense heat of the blast bombards the elementals, causing them to reel and struggle to maintain their footing. The explosion also releases a shower of molten stone fragments, as the bodies of the elementals are partially disintegrated by the power of the attack. Despite the severity of the barrage, both elementals somehow manage to endure and remain active.

Myrna raises her axe and shield and, with an urgent, but precisely-toned 'Haaah!', charges forward, pounding on her shield to punctuate her footfalls. The boy-king feels Myrna's protection fade from him as she passes just out of range to strike at the elemental, and Myrna's compatriots feel an urgency to rush into battle alongside her and aggressively destroy the elementals. Life was short, after all, and relying so completely on Unafe was placing too much burden on one person. Ehren watches with fascination as his spell launches the golem far higher than it ever could back home. He noticed the weaker gravity the second he stepped out of the portal but had not realized that even a creature composed of solid earth would be so much lighter.

The druid lowers his gaze from the sky just in time to see the two massive earth elementals assailing Hinagiku with crushing blows. As deceptively durable as the monk is, the sight of her harmed never fails to provoke Ehren's anger. With an endless open sky and no ceiling present, his body changes in a blur, expanding into a monolithic elemental. The two greater elementals dwarf him in size, but Ehren trundles towards them, his giant steps a slow-motion spacewalk.

Unafe moves with lightning speed, her gloved, clawed hands deftly twisting the clay golem's arms behind its back. The soft clay struggles to withstand the pressure, the texture straining and warping as Unafe applies her immense strength to hold the golem captive. Had the golem's arms been attached to flesh, they would have surely been dislocated, but the clay refuses to break, valiantly fighting to hold itself together.

Unafe's attack is relentless, her adamantine gloves slamming into the golem with the force of a charging wyneb trichorn. The first punch lands with a bone-shattering thud against the golem's chest, leaving a massive, gaping hole in the soft clay. The second punch hits the golem's shoulder with equal force, causing it to crumble and rendering its arm completely useless. Despite its struggles, the clay golem is no match for Unafe's raw power.

Meanwhile, the first clay golem falls slowly towards the ground, its movements sluggish and unsteady. The second clay golem, however, is trapped in Unafe's vice-like grip, its arms pinned firmly behind its back. Despite its immobilization, the clay golem begins to thrash and writhe, its movements becoming more and more frenzied by the second. In a display of raw strength, the clay golem somehow manages to break free from Unafe's hold, its movements becoming less disjointed as it strives to regain its balance and prepare for another assault, though one of its clay arms dangles limp and useless.

Unafe, Ehren:

wyneb trichorn = triceratops

Unafe:

"O, fy annwyl Unafe," Goryon responds in a melodic, mirthful voice. "Rydych yn wirioneddol ddiystyru cymhlethdod y deyrnas elfennol. Nid yw'r elfennau hyn yr ydym yn eu hwynebu yn ddim ond gweision i ryw warlock neu dderwydd. Hallit: "Oh, my dear Unafe. You truly underestimate the complexity of the elemental realm. These elementals we face are not mere servants to some warlock or druid. They are beings with their own motivations, goals, hopes, and dreams. Each elemental is unique and many are our enemies. We must destroy these elementals who stand in our way, lest they find her first."

Meanwhile, as Myrna approaches the earth elemental, she transforms her last two steps into long leaps. Her axe glows with an otherworldly aura, infused with the essence of magical cold, as she soars through the air with grace and power. The elemental realizes too late the danger it faces, as Myrna's axe is aimed directly for its neck.

With precise timing and fluid motion, Myrna expertly shifts the elemental's incoming fist clockwise and with one swift blow, she carves a deep and damaging crescent wound on the elemental's neck, a wound that threatens to cut it off completely. Despite the impact of her attack, the wound begins to heal almost immediately as the elemental's body regenerates with fresh rock and stone. But Myrna remains undeterred.

She lands on the gray, desolate surface of the comet with a fierce determination, ready to continue the fight. The massive earth elemental winds up and swings its huge fist, seemingly playing a game like a child, but the force of the blow is anything but childish. Soundlessly, the elemental's fist crashes into Myrna, threatening to shatter her legs and send her flying.

Despite her valiant efforts, the blow proves too much for her and she is sent hurtling into a nearby rocky outcropping. She crashes to the ground without making a sound, but even as she lies there, her spirit remains unbroken.

The other earth elemental advances menacingly, its boulder-like form causing the ground to tremble beneath its massive weight. With a fierce determination, it charges at Hinagiku, the power and force of its movements radiating throughout the area. Its massive fist is aimed directly at her midsection, and with each step, it seems to build up more and more momentum, like a wrecking ball. Hinagiku, however, is not so easily defeated. She remains alert, her instincts honed from years of battle. As the earth elemental's fist hurtles towards her, she dodges to the side with the agility and grace of a seasoned warrior. She effortlessly evades the crushing blow, moving nimbly and smoothly out of harm's way with her body still close to the ground. Her nimbleness and quick reflexes are a testament to her skill and training, and she remains vigilant, ready for whatever comes next.

Li'an is amazed by Myrna's fortitude as she shakes off a monstrous blow from the elemental like it was nothing. There was no doubt she would be able keep up with Daisy or Unafe in any battle they would face. Unfortunately, the Captain rushes back into combat, placing herself within the area Li'an was about to throw a second fireball into. She had no way to shield the group from her own fire spells, as abjurations were unable to protect against her flames, so she couldn't simply fire into melee unconcerned about collateral damage. Instead, she switches to a more powerful, concentrated spell, flame strike to hit the elementals again.

Li'an drifts forward and continues to climb, wanting to ensure she's well out of the reach of any of their foes. While she was cerainly tough compared to a mortal--her ability to absorb some damage from mundane and even simple magic weapons proved that--she was still far more frail than any of her companions. Once in position she begins to invoke the spell she'd used so effectively against the fiendish scorpions previously. Silvery-white flames begin to form in a wreath above the space between the two golems, expanding into a swirling, chaotic mass moments before a gout of white flames pours down upon the golems.

Despite taking on such a formidable shape, Ehren is not so foolish as to run up to the giant elementals. If they are strong enough to knock down Hinagiku and sturdy enough to withstand Myrna's blows, he highly doubts he would fare nearly as well in a melee. There is also the danger of getting caught in one of Li'an's conflagrations which, from the looks of things, are quite effective. So effective that Ehren decides to join in on the bombardment.

His gemstone eyes illuminate with white light as he draws on the vestiges of ley present, akin to wringing water from a stone. In the back of his mind, he wonders how much power this inhospitable husk has left to yield and whether he is killing whatever modicum of life still clings to this place. At the forefront, however, is the battle before him; pushing whatever concerns he has aside, Ehren unleashes his magic as a fiery display, similar in intensity to Li’an’s evocation.

Ehren uses place magic and casts flame strike (Reflex DC 20) on the same spot as Li'an's.

As the massive fist of the elemental comes crashing down, she seizes the ley and weaves it into a sparkling whip, ready to unleash its full power. In a flash of motion, Hinagiku lashes out, striking the elemental's enormous outstretched hand.

The elemental is momentarily stunned as it watches a large chunk of its stone body crumble away, leaving behind a deep and jagged wound. Its mouth opens wide in a roar of anger, but Hinagiku is already one step ahead. With lightning-fast reflexes, she nimbly dodges the crushing blow of the elemental's massive fist, her body moving with a graceful ease that belies her incredible speed. The force of the elemental's attempted strike creates a shockwave that rumbles through the earth and sends a cloud of dust and debris into the air.

As the dust settles, Hinagiku stands with her body coiled, ready for the next attack. Her eyes are sharp and focused, and the ley energy she has harnessed crackles around her like a protective aura, lending her a powerful and otherworldly presence.

Behind her, Ehren unleashes a dazzling display of pyrotechnics. With a snap of his stony fingers, the Archdruid conjures up a maelstrom of blazing fire that completely engulfs the two massive elementals. Despite their formidable size and strength, the elementals are unable to withstand the combined might of Ehren and Li'an. The first elemental, in a desperate effort, manages to dodge some of the attack, but the other is fully consumed by the raging inferno. When the fiery whirlwind finally dissipates, the two elementals stand tall, scorched and battered, yet somehow still alive.

With the gleam of her enchanted axe shining bright, Myrna rushes towards the elemental in a rainbow-hued blur, her determination and strength evident in every step. The magical flames have barely dissipated when she strikes, bringing her weapon down in a fierce diagonal slash towards the creature's left arm. The elemental's rocky exterior shatters under the force of her blow, stone and dust flying in all directions as the blade cuts deep into its form. Despite the wound, the elemental howls soundlessly with fury, its massive frame writhing as it redirects its energies towards healing the injured limb. It doesn't let the injury slow it down. The elemental lashes out at Myrna with swift retaliation, its massive fist slamming into her with thunderous force. She is sent flying through the air, crashing into the cliff behind her without a sound, her shoulder taking the brunt of the impact.

Meanwhile, Unafe, the saurian warrior, lets out a deafening honk and raises her massive arms with immense power. She brings them crashing down upon the golem with unbridled force, leaving no mercy. The golem, already weakened, crumbles under Unafe's devastating blows, its once solid form reduced to nothing more than a pile of dust and broken stone scattered across the ground. Unafe stands tall and triumphant, the clear victor over her defeated foe.

And finally, the second clay golem slams into the ground after being launched skyward by the Archdruid's geyser. The earth trembles beneath its impact, causing rocks and debris to rain down in a shower of destruction. The once towering and intimidating golem now lies in a crater of broken stone, its once smooth clay exterior now marred by deep scars and dents from its fateful fall. Despite the obvious damage, the golem still twitches and convulses, indicating that it still clings to life, ready to rise again and face its foes.

Between spell castings, Li'an watches the battle from her safe spot far above the fray. She watches with amusement as the massive golem Ehren had launched into the space above them with a geyser comes plummeting back down to the ground, only to impact so violently it cracked the ground beneath it. The entertainment value of the spectacle was only heightened by the oddity of witnessing it entirely without sound.

With one of the golems twitching in the crater, and the other one having been reduced to rubble by Unafe, there was little left to do but finish off the elementals. She ponders whether to ease off on her magic until she sees Ehren unleash a flamestrike on them as well, leaving the two massive earth elementals staggering. Third time's the charm, she thinks as she repeats her casting, calling down a third gout of flame upon the two creatures before they can spread out.

Serene in the midst of battle, Hinagiku is able to let the elemental’s attack miss her by a hair and, before it can retract its arm, she jumps on it and runs all the way to its shoulder. Grasping a thread of lay that passes under the creature's feet and one behind its knee, the monk carefully places her knee on crack in her foe's body before pulling herself in. Threads tighten around the elemental and reach incredible tension when it lifts it arm which is, unbeknownst to him, wrap in ley and only furthers the tension. The creature buckles under its own strength while simultaneously forcing Hinagiku down on it, knee first like a wedge. When the tension becomes too great, Hinagiku flies off, ready for the next move.

The spell from Li'an unleashes a dazzling display of raw power, a towering column of silvery-white flame that engulfs the earth elementals. The inferno scorches the creatures and sends glowing hot stones flying from their bodies as they desperately try to dodge, but it is too quick and too massive for them to escape its reach. The azata's magic leaves the elementals barely standing, their massive bodies scorched and blackened by the searing heat of the spell.

Hinagiku's movements are a graceful, fluid dance as she nimbly dodges the elemental's thrashes and avoids the surging flames from Li'an's spell. Her lithe form twirls and leaps with ease on the towering creature, a miniature dancer on the grand stage of battle. The elemental tries in vain to shake her off, but Hinagiku's lightning-fast reflexes keep her firmly in control.

With precision and focus, Hinagiku grasps the ley threads that run through the elemental, weaving them into a web of restraint. The massive creature struggles against her grip, its powerful movements unwittingly fueling the tension of the threads. Hinagiku's nimble movements and focused strength force the elemental to the ground, her knee acting as a wedge that pries apart its rocky exterior. With a deafening crash, the elemental collapses in a shower of debris, prone and vulnerable.

The two remaining elementals and the fallen golem sense Ehren's slow approach and know they must take advantage of the opportunity to strike. The fallen monsters stretch out their long limbs, their massive size making them difficult to dodge, but Ehren's immense wisdom allows him to anticipate their movements. The other elemental, however, proves to be more difficult to avoid. With lightning-fast speed, it swings a massive fist at Ehren, striking him with a thunderous impact. Despite the blow, the archdruid stands firm, his eyes fixed upon his target. He raises his clasped hands high above his head, gathering his strength for one final strike. Unafe's movements are a blur of energy and aggression as she charges towards the clay golem. She launches herself over the edge of the crater with a single bound, her momentum carrying her towards the monster. Unafe crashes her elbow into the golem's soft clay belly, causing it to buck and stagger. She then unleashes a flurry of punches on the golem's face, each blow leaving a deep dent in its earthen form. The fallen golem tries to fight back, but Unafe is too quick. She weaves and dances around its attacks, always landing her own blows with deadly precision. The clay golem is no match for her raw power and relentless spirit. Despite its struggles, the golem remains trapped under Unafe's knee, unable to escape the never-ending barrage of punches.

Meanwhile, Myrna grasps the rocky ledge behind her, her fingers digging into the rough surface as she hoists herself up from the ground. The earth elemental next to her is fixated on Ehren's approach, its towering form seeming to pay no mind to the tiefling Crusader. And so Myrna is quick to seize the opportunity, springing to her feet with a graceful grace. She shakes the dirt and debris from her clothes and begins to unleash a war chant, her voice ringing out like a battle horn. She slams her axe against her shield with a steady beat, though this makes no sound in the airless environment.

The earth elemental next to Myrna suddenly turns back to her, having sensed the vibrations of her shield as they echo through the ground. With lightning speed, it rears back and lunges forward, its massive head slamming into the unprepared Crusader. The tiefling is sent flying through the air like a feather on the wind, tumbling over fifty feet before she crashes to the ground. As she falls, the other earth elemental tries to grasp her in its massive arms, but its sluggish movements are not enough to hit the tiefling as she flies past. Myrna slips past its grasp and continues to tumble on the ground, far from its crushing reach.

The earth elemental on the ground stirs to life, its massive form towering over Ehren like a mountain. It rears back, and with incredible speed, it lashes out with a swift ramming jab, surprising the smaller earth elemental and sending it flying. Meanwhile, the first earthen monster takes advantage of the situation, lashing out with a second blow that connects with Ehren as he flies past, too fast for Hinagiku to do anything. The impact is so great that Ehren is sent tumbling into Unafe, who is still locked in battle with the fallen clay golem. The three of them collide in a frenzied tangle of limbs and dust, their bodies slamming into the ground in a chaotic heap.

The two of them getting knocked away proves to have a silver lining, however, as it opens up space to use fireball against the golems again. The second elemental stands for a moment, but it is clear that its time is limited. Its form is smoldered and misshapen, its once powerful shape reduced to a shadow of its former self. The monk’s first thought is that they are now out of immediate danger and so she rears back, preparing to swoop down at the prone elemental. But, just before, the ardent Li’an sends a ball of fire which explodes right in front of her. Through the radiating heat and flames, Hinagiku sees her foe crumble to ashes. So fast was the elemental's retribution that it took Ehren a full second to comprehend what just happened. Then, with a groan, he slowly picks himself off the ground, chunks of white stone breaking away from his torso in bits and pieces. As wounded as he is, the pain is dulled somewhat by his sturdy form. But just as it gathers its strength, a bright green missile streaks through the air, launched from Ehren's outstretched finger. The acidic missile shines with an otherworldly glow as it rockets towards the elemental, leaving a trail of green light in its wake. The elemental is consumed by the bright green glow, the corrosive energy eating away at its earthen form.

Unafe's fists rain down upon the clay golem, each strike more ferocious than the last. With each blow, she feels the satisfying crunch of the golem's form giving way under her fists. The golem trembles under the relentless assault, its once sturdy form breaking apart under Unafe's powerful blows. Her arm aches with the effort, but she doesn't stop, determined to obliterate the golem completely. By the time she is finished, the ground is littered with shards of clay and dust, a clear testament to her immense strength and devastating power.

Unafe:

"Un infanc," Goryon's voice resounds in Unafe's mind, filled with confidence and haughtiness, "Yn wir fe wnes i ei chladdu hi, yn ddwfn yng nghanol y gomed hon. Wrth ffoi rhag llofruddion â gwynt ac awyr, roeddwn i'n meddwl mai dyma'r lle mwyaf diogel i'w chuddio. oedd yma, lle y mae awyr i'w gynhyrfu yn brin. Cyn gynted ag y byddo yr elfenau hyn wedi eu hanfon, ni a'i ceisiwn hi yn frysiog." Unafe can sense Goryon's eagerness, her desire to continue the search for her friend, pulsing within her own heart.

Hallit: "Young one." "I did indeed bury her, deep within the heart of this comet. Fleeing from assassins fashioned of wind and air, I deemed the safest place to conceal her was here, where there is scarce air to stir. As soon as these elementals have been dispatched, we shall seek her out with all haste."

Unafe deals 115 damage to the clay golem and obliterates it.

Fear the Reaper (Unafe): 1d20 + 26 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 26 + 1 = 44

Using the pure force of her voice, Myrna gives a great single cry of halt to the elemental when it reaches out against the Archdruid. The force of her cry stops the elemental in its tracks for just enough time to allow the Archdruid to avoid a strike that would otherwise hit him.

Capitalizing on the effect of her cry, Myrna picks herself off the ground following the elemental's devastating attack on her. Still releasing her voice in a reverberating pattern, Myrna disappears from view, appearing opposite Hinagiku. She lashes out with her frosted axe, trying to kill it once and for all.

WotR Global Buffs/Debuffs: ----

The once mighty creature bellows silently in pain as the sharp edges of Myrna's frosted axe carve deep into its rocky exterior, sending cracks spidering out from each point of impact. With each strike, her voice rises in a chorus of rage and power, echoing in Li'an's message spell. The force of her strikes sends shockwaves rippling through the elemental, causing it to shake and tremble as if in the grip of a great storm.

And then, with a final, mighty cry, Myrna separates the defeated elemental into pieces with a single, grisly swipe of her blade. The rocky fragments of the creature crash to the ground, sending up a cloud of dust and debris that covers everything in its path. As the dust settles, the battlefield remains eerily silent, save for the sound of Myrna's panting. She stands there, surrounded by the remains of her foe, the embodiment of a fierce and unrelenting warrior.

Ehren recovers 49 HP thanks to Myrna. He is healthy.

Unafe:

"Brysiwch, Unafe," Goryon commands in a voice that brooks no delay. "Rhaid i ni beidio â gwastraffu ennyd mewn llawenydd segur. llamu i'r nefoedd, mor uchel i fyny ag y gallwch, fel y gallwn archwilio ein hamgylchoedd gyda phob brys. Bob eiliad aroswn yma un arall ail goll." Goryon's words are imbued with a sense of urgency, as though her millennia of experience makes her acutely aware of the importance of time. "Peidiwch ag oedi, un ifanc. Rhaid inni fod yn wyliadwrus ac yn benderfynol yn ein hymgais." Unafe can sense the genuine concern in Goryon's words and can feel the weight of her responsibility as though it were own.

Hallit: "Hasten, Unafe," "We must not squander a moment in idle revelry. Leap up to the heavens, as high up as you can muster, so that we may examine our surroundings with all haste. As her Sarkorian sister deals the final, mighty blow of the battle, Unafe seems to be having a conversation with someone unseen.

"Wrth gwrs, gadewch i mi weld yr hyn y gallaf ei weld."

Hallit "Of course, let me see what I can see."

With that, she leaps for the heavens as though her clan's lives depended on it, spinning as she rises into the air so that she can look in all directions, before she falls back down to the comet's surface.

"Yes!" cries Myrna, pumping her axe to celebrate. "Teaches you to knock me down, stupid pile of rocks!"

She lands on the comet after her leaping attack and looks admiringly at the Archdruid and his companions. She beams at Li'an. "You're so strong! Your beams of fire totally destroyed these elementals." Again, she does not understand that Li'an cannot hear her. Myrna is just concerned with celebrating victory.

Then Unafe leaps high into the sky without warning. Alarmed, Myrna cranes her head to look up into the starry abyss for Unafe. "Hey!" she shouts, "What's going on?"

Bending the fabric of space and time a little bit here...

Ehren's life flashed before his eyes, Myrna's ferocity having caused the gigantic elemental to hesitate just long enough for the archdruid to dodge its massive fist by a hair. Not even a second later, his vision goes orange and red, Li'an's fireball having detonated right in his face. The soft voice of a water spirit muttered something intelligible as Ehren stepped away, miraculously unscathed by the blast.

"Well done, Myrna," Ehren says to the skald after she deals the finishing blow, his rumbling voice echoing in her ears. He looks her over with amazement, finding that she seems no worse for wear despite being slammed by the earthen titans repeatedly. Dust falls from his face as his mouth cracks into a smile. "The blood of the jotun serves you well."

Not having the heart to tell her that Li'an is deaf to her praise, the druid instead turns to Unafe for guidance on where to go next - only to see her leap into air with force that puts his geyser to shame. He watches as she floats in the air, hoping her eventual landing will not be as hard as the golem's was.

As the flames die down and the body of their foes quickly freeze from Myrna’s strike and the cold void, Hinagiku remains afloat over the battlefield. Her eyes scan the surroundings for hidden foes and, once she is satisfied, for the states of her allies. When her eyes fall on Unafe, she notices the clan-liege muttering… to herself? Just like Myrna, Hinagiku whispers with concern to her companion.
”Is everything okay mrs. Unafe?”
Knowing that she will fall back down, Hinagiku elects to float back to the ground and finish assessing the state of the others. Seeing that they had sustained less grievous injuries than her, she begins healing herself.

WotR Global Buffs/Debuffs: ----

Unafe's body whirls and turns as she reaches for the heavens. She rises higher and higher, until she becomes a mere speck in the starry sky, her eyes darting about as she searches for any sign of what lies ahead. Eventually, the comet below her seems small in comparison, a distant memory as she soars through the cosmos, determined to gather all the information she can in her quest to help her Ancestor Heart.

Unafe:

From her vantage point high up in the sky, Unafe surveys the massive comet below her. The rocky terrain stretches out for hundreds of miles in a landscape of towering peaks and jagged cliffs. As she looks down, Unafe can see the full extent of the comet's size, hundreds of miles across in every direction. From this vantage point she can see the rock that they are on is roughly oblong in shape, and the heroes are standing on a stretch that represents its shortest side.

As her gaze shifts towards her home planet, Golarion, Unafe can't help but be struck by its breathtaking beauty. Enshrouded in softly swirling clouds, the planet looks like a delicate, life-giving jewel from her vantage point. Despite its loveliness, Unafe can't ignore the Worldwound, the deep scar that runs down the heart of the ancestral Kellid lands, a constant reminder of the planet's suffering.

While Golarion is a sight to behold, Unafe's attention is drawn to the deep pit located about five miles away from her position. This mysterious abyss seems to be miles deep, its bottom obscured from view. The area surrounding the pit is teeming with thousands of earth elementals, some even larger than the ones the heroes had just defeated in battle. The creatures are arrayed around the pit's edges in a massive army, with fewer and fewer visible as one moves further from the edges of the pit.

As Unafe gazes out into the distance, she notices an incredible sight that takes her breath away. An alien frozen city, unlike anything she has ever seen before, sits just ten miles away. It rises up from the comet's surface, a magnificent structure of towering buildings and towering spires, each one a testament to an incredible architectural prowess. The buildings are made of a material that is alien to her and shimmer like diamonds, reflecting the starlight that surrounds it. The city is surrounded by a breathtaking crystal forest, with trees that seem to have been carved from pure ice, each one glistening and refracting the light in a dazzling display. The forest is enclosed within a semi-transparent dome, which only adds to the otherworldly aura of the frozen city.

Ten miles in the opposite direction, Unafe sees a desolate wasteland unlike anything she has ever witnessed before. The surface of the comet is barren, seemingly void of life. Unafe's eyes wander across the desolate landscape, taking in the slow-moving rivers of magma and lava that trickle across its surface like veins of fire. Despite the lack of anything else of interest, Unafe is drawn to a metallic object that protrudes from the comet's surface, its gleam catching her eye.

As she ponders the strange surroundings, Unafe realizes that something is amiss. She recalls attending Professor Antonis' lecture on Apostae's Tear and how the comet was meant to constantly rotate along its long axis. Yet, as she surveys the area, Unafe notices that the comet is not rotating at all. This means that one side of the comet is fully illuminated by the sun, while the other side, where the strange alien city is located, is plunged into complete darkness, illuminated only by the twinkling stars above.

When Unafe beholds the thousands of elementals surrounding the pit, she can feel Goryon's despair rising within her chest. Despite her millennia of life and experience, Goryon is taken aback by the sheer number of their enemies. She struggles to keep her emotions in check, but the weight of their situation presses down upon her.

However, Goryon quickly composes herself, her voice resolute and determined. “Unafe, mae yna fwy ohonyn nhw nag yr oeddwn i wedi'i ragweld,” she says firmly. "Mae'r pwll hwnnw'n golygu eu bod nhw wedi dod o hyd i'r lle wnes i ei chuddio, ac fe fyddan nhw yn y pen draw yn cloddio eu ffordd ati os na fyddwn ni'n ymyrryd. Ni allwn adael i hynny ddigwydd."

Hallit: "Unafe, there are more of them than I had anticipated. That pit means they have found where I concealed her, and they will eventually excavate their way to her if we do not intervene. We cannot let that happen."

Goryon falls silent as they both make their way back to the comet's surface. She takes a moment to think, then says, "Ni allwn ymladd trwy'r hyn. Rhaid inni ddod o hyd i ffordd arall. Efallai, os gallwn ddod o hyd i gynghreiriaid, gallwn oresgyn." Her voice brightens with hope. "Draw acw, a welwch chwi y ddinas hono ? Yr oeddwn wedi ymweled â'r lle hwnw unwaith, a chefais ei bod yn breswylio gan fodau grasol a chyfeillgar. Os ydynt yno eto, hwyrach y gallent roddi benthyg eu cynnorthwy i ni."

Hallit: "We cannot fight through these hordes. We must find another way. Perhaps, if we can find allies, we can overcome. Over there, do you see that city? I had once visited that place, and I found it to be inhabited by gracious and friendly beings. If they are still there, perhaps they could lend us their assistance."

As Unafe touches down, her fall having steadily accelerated as she descended, the comet's surface shatters beneath her feet, cracks spidering out in all directions. Despite the violent impact, she remains standing, her body momentarily stunned by the force of it. Her legs ache from the pressure.

Unafe to reduce fall damage: 1d20 + 64 ⇒ (3) + 64 = 67 Fall damage reduced by 80 feet.

Unafe takes 23 fall damage. She lands on her feet.

Nurah:
Having managed to pique the historian’s interest despite her skepticism, the druid pulled up a chair and took a seat across from her. He watched her carefully, picking up on the mistrust in her voice. That was good - it meant she was being honest.

“I am still trying to figure out the answer to that question myself,” Ehren admitted thoughtfully. He twisted his staff in his hands as he spoke, as though he could bore a hole through the floor. “Perhaps I thought seeing you again after all these years would be cathartic. That I had not come to terms with your betrayal as I once thought I did. Or maybe I am just following Ary’s example by doing what she can no longer do herself. Taking on a burden that, back then, I might have thought unnecessary. Whatever the reason, I assure you this is time well wasted; I am not so laden with responsibilities that I cannot spare time for my own interests.”

“As for what I hope to gain, surely you know how poorly understood my people are. I am aware of the ignorant drivel foreigners have written about Sarkoris," he continued, unable to contain his resentment fully. "About my people’s barbaric ways, their primitive culture, their worship of beings outside the pantheon with which most are familiar. At best, their accounts are woefully incomplete; at their worst, they are filled with hateful lies.”

Looking into Nurah's eyes, Ehren frowned.

“Many of the things I thought I knew about Nurah Dendiwhar are also lies, but her reputation as a historian is not one of them. Is it so difficult to believe I would like to take advantage of that?”
