The party fans out looking around... Okzat notices some human bones sticking out from under the dead horse.
The animals were clearly heavily laden with supplies. One appears to still be full of:
2 days’ worth of rations,
a pair of large, comfortable pillows,
a quiver with 10 blunt arrows
2 pints of lamp oil.

"Pillows and blunt arrows?" comments Antonius, as he pockets the lamp oil. "That is unusual."

"Bones." Okzat points under the dead horse. "Human, by the looks of it."
Okzat dismounts and looks closer, allowing Ragnarock to stay where he's comfortable.

Ragnarock nears the horse corpse and lifts his head at the overwhelming stench. As his rider dismounts he stays near the edge of the group, keeping his head to the wind on the watchful lookout for predators.

"Probably actors, some traveling troupe. Who else would have this stuff on the road?" Rafael replies to Rat Tony. "Whatever it was, looks like it hurt though. How old is this? Could the perpetrator still be around?" he continues as he draws his sword.

Rafael steps up to the crypt's door, but tries to stay behind Okzat. "After you big guy, we all got your back. Dead horse on the doorstep isn't a bad omen or anything, nothing to get superstitious about, happens all the time I hear.."

The ratfolk alchemist starts prepping for entering, ”Yo, if’n you all wanted take take an hour to rest, I could prep up a new mutagen for myself, only takes an hour which y’all could check out the bodies more”

Kelnea shoves one of the bodies with his foot.
"Mm thinkin' there ain't much more to see o' dese bodies... 'less you're one o' dem 'vivisectionists' or some'at."

"Ragnarok may 'ave some trouble navigating in tighter passages like this. I have no problem taking the lead. 'long as me friends are alon'side me."
Kelnea draws his masterwork Bastard Sword, casts Light on it and enters the crypt. He keeps the sword high and ready in one hand, to freely shed light, but ready to swing.
Marching orders: (assuming that Okzat doesn't try riding Ragnarok in here, otherwise I'm open to suggetions?)
Two Wide: Kelnea and Okzat up front, Rafael and Tony in back (is Vlad still playing?).
Single File: Kelnea, Okzat, Tony, Rafael (Rafael in back to prevent someone from sneaking up behind on the ranged alchemist?).
Kelnea is built for melee, decent AC, and hard hitting. Also party face. No problem with being up front.
Any objections fellow players?

works for me. I would appreciate it if I had room at times to use bombs instead of the alchemical weapons... the former I cannot yet control the splash.., the latter I can hit without splashing for extra damage.

Okzat laughs and gives Ragnarock a pat. "Don't worry, friend. I won't make you go in there."
The two touch foreheads in a moment of affection. Okzat pats Ragnarock on the haunch and he runs off, both trusting in their respective abilities to handle their own as well as to find each other when needed later.
Okzat turns to the group and enters the crypt, right up front with Kelnea.

The party enters the crypt...
As the heavy doors swing open, the faint light from outside reveals a long chamber with risen platforms on either side. A faded painting of Kassen is on the far wall. The room appears to be the site of a gruesome battle, with two bodies piled in the center and a number of skeletons scattered around. An echoing wail can be heard somewhere in the distance, beyond this foul chamber.
As the party begins to look at the bodies... 6 of the skeletons rise up in anger!

"So be it!" As his smile turns to a determined scowl.
He taps his already glowing bastard sword with his off-hand, and the glow gains a reddish flare. Swift action: Arcane Strike
He then moves to the nearest skeleton and gives a mighty swing!

With the skeletons all toe to toe with his allies, Rat Tony has to change tactics away from his bombs. He pulls out a flask of acid and throws it past Kalnea at red!
acid vs touch, PBS, w/ cover: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 6 + 1 = 18 acid damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 With Concentrated splash that is 15 acid damage
He looks at his had after watching a skeleton dissolve, "Man, I am good!"

"Well, that's unfortunate." says Antonius, sort of stating the obvious. "What in the Nine Hells were these townsfolk doing, and what did they awaken?"
He grabs the smokesticks, figuring that he was the best one to use them, being an alchemist and all.

"Thank you." Rafael replies to Kelnea as he is healed. The sailor then grabs the water skin and checks what is in it.
"Stirred something up alright. Two dead, of how many? What are we thinking, pull who's left out and warn the town?"

”That sounds like a good plan, Raf,” says Rat Tony, ”and maybe see who is causing the dead to walk. That cannot be good for their town ”

The party follows the echoing to the East and opens a door...
This large chamber contains a maze of pillars that obscure the far side of the room. Next to the door is a pile of empty saddlebags and three brooms.

"Brooms? Was someone wantin' t' clean up stuff here?" ponders Antonius. He quickly shoves an alchemist fire into his cheek pouch. "Lesh get goin'!"

Kelnea will re-cast Light on his sword as often as is needed to keep it alight. And keep it raised above his head in a striking-ready position, to help light the way. He will proceed into the room, sticking to the left, hoping to see clearly in as many directions as possible.
Moved character to first 'intersection' I could see with previously held blind spots. I'm fine if the GM wants to move the party to the next "actionable" spot, to speed up the delay of 'move-nothing happens-move-nothing happens' type stuff on PbP; as long as the party continues along with Kelnea in the single-file arrangement?(he ain't exploring the whole room alone!)

As he reaches the corner and turns north, he sees the outline of a pit trap right before stepping on it!

"Woah! Bes' not fall in dat pit, me friends! Why don't I find meself a new path? Follow me, aye?"
Kelnea will back the group up, and continue around to the nearest path that makes sense. Paying more careful attention for traps now.

”Shounds like a plan” lisps Antonius around the alchemical weapons he has crammed into his mouth. As he follows along, he looks into the pits, and keeps his eyes pealed for other threats

The party takes its time navigating the pillars. Kelnea carefully finds each of the many pit traps before finding the eventual safe path to the door. He also finds 3 unusual switches in various corners.
But the door is locked, and appears to have a complex mechanical lock.
