On a topic unrelated to any individual charecters, i really wish i had caught that the "enters" didn't process on the charecter creation rules before an hour had passed.

@ aziana-

I need an entity infulence yes/no

Influence? YES! It fits too well with nightmare crafter. Heck. Ire will work too. Her nightmare could become more "real"!

Still need to think about background and other half of gestalt. At work. So between stuff I'll work on character

Dromite Dread (nightmare crafter)/ anti-paladin (fearmonger)

If you play an antipaladin, i do advise you pick a non CE deity- the charecter, while allowed to be evil, has to be cooprstive and firmly loyal to the party, and being too helpful may cause an anitpaladin dedicated to a CE deity to fall.

Actually was thinking LE (Ymeri)

Seth86 wrote:

Ah, i'd certianly allow that.

I could even adapt you an oath agaisnt chaos, if you get in.

That would be very much appreciated.

"My nightmares made manifest. Not for my protection. But yours. Face my nightmare,or let me become yours"

Slight issue with the deity of choice. Paladins (to include antipaladins) must match the alignment of the chosen deity.

According to my search. She's LE. Never Mind. I saw now. Meh. Will have to look again

As a note, i have no issue with NE, if you still want ymeri

Oops, sorry. Entity influence... yes, willing to play that role if chosen.

For everyone with full chsrecters- when i get home today, all full submissions will be looked at, and if all things seem present, i'll send you a green light via pm. If something is missing, i'll also tell you via pm.

Okay. =^^=

Just thought LE would be less of a problem. But since NE is fine. Ymeri it is

The most vital part is that the charecter is, for whatever reason, loyal to the party.

I've done many NE characters before. Heck. The party couldn't figure out if I was LN, CG or even CE. But I stay loyal to the group. I just have a morally grey compass

Seth86 wrote:

And that's perfectly fine.

That's the genreral thing i'm looking for in evil submissions- will the charecter get along with the party?

Oh yes. She can be selfish. Stubborn and rude. Scary. Mean. Fear can solve a lot of problems. But she also knows that her survival hinges on how she gets along with those around her.

So, at work, and something comes to mind-

Leadership.

So, the leadership feat is a powerful tool, to say the least, and you'll notice it wasn't banned.

I intend to allow it-
But, I will not allow it as written, in most cases. Rather, if you want to possibly take leadership later, tell me now. I will work out a varient you can take, based on your charecter.

I'd love to bring an idea I have had for ages to this game: A CE follower of the Qlippoth lord Chavazvug. He is the one Qlippoth lord that hates demons more than mortals.

The idea is that the character has turned to Chavazvug in desperation, seeing in the Crawling Inferno to only real way to deal with the demonic invasion. The character would adore "normal" crusaders but pity their lack of vision. At least their souls won't become demons once they die. She is extremely dedicated to the cause (wiping out demons/closing the worldwound) and as long as party works towards that goal he/she will be best of friends. If they no longer do that she's more likely to abandon them than betray them.

I'd be looking into taking at least one level of Splintersoul Vigilante on one side as he/she hides her true nature from the blind crusaders who would attack him/her.

Shadow Lodge

Who is Thrain Duroktan draft 2:

Thrain is a simple dwarf with a big dream. Born into a house of guards and Paladins, Thrain preformed his duty, learning the ways of war in service to hearth and home, but he always longed for more, never contenting himself with his lot in life. Despite showing skill with his family's warhammer based fighting style, Thrain felt a powerful connection to the forge and the divine. Thrain found a passion in the act of creation and joy in seeing his creations put to use, and it was not long before he found himself in service to the dwarven god of smiths, Torag, laboring to provide weapons and armor for his home. His family even remarked that he was probably a deliberate product of Torag's Forge of Creation. Unfortunately Thrain believed those offhand remarks and grew somewhat arrogant, self assured in his natural superiority over his kin (and by extension other, lesser races like Orcs, goblins and the legions of the undercard). On the eve of his sixth decade however, his divine power began to wane. Not wanting to show his newfound lack of access to his god's more powerful magics and wanting to rediscover himself he has set out on an expedition to the World Wound under the pretext of wanting to study the rune stones holding back the world wound and see if they can be improved and/or reproduced and wanting to sell his wares on the ever present conflict in the region.

I think I've sent PM's to everyone with a completed concept.

Let me know if I missed you.

I was under the impression Balthasar here was completed. If I missed something, please let me know.

Balthasar Heimren wrote:

Aaa and I thought I already messaged you. One moment.

because the introduction post was a mess- here's the homebrew rules for feats.

Okay. Jereru here presenting Morning Dew, a Magus/Slayer.

I took the liberty of (silently) changing the Chance Encounter feat to be rescued by Sarenrae instead of Desna. It can be undone, however, just by saying it (no names are used in the background).

Dew will take the Dual Path Trickster/Arcanist to be a silent killer (by dealing surprise round empowered intensified shocking grasps with the proper element and trying to win initiative if his target can pose a threat still).

He will also seek to find out about the strange entity encountered in the past and probably eliminate it. Or, who knows, maybe he gets the creature's boon... or ire... ;) Up to the GM.

In the original thread, I applied with a Warpriest/Slayer but there was an overabundance of the divine/martial combo, so I decided to change. While quite melee striking oriented, Dew can still use old style staples like Haste, Slow or the like via Spell Blending, depending on the party's composition.

Edit: Oh! He will be using a scimitar when he's able to. Right now, he doesn't have the feats, so he'll be using a kukri up to level 3 (when he picks Dervish Dance). During this time, he'll be practicing with the scimitar (since it's Sarenrae's favored weapon).

Just to confirm Khazim would not be an appropriate choice for entity influence

alrighty then.

That is mainly because of the characters focus on the natural world and his God.

Khazim99 wrote:

That's fine.

I'm still working on the mechanics, but Verodin Corus is ending up much differently than I actually expected as I've been creating him. Thematically, he's almost turning out as a mixture of a ranged Paladin and bard devotee of Aroden, taking on traits of his twelve guises, whatever role he's using, but will be focused around Archmage and Hierophant, with buffing and maybe some Battlefield control coming from Tactician. He'd fit right in with the Mendevian Crusaders, Would you allow the Touched by Divinity trait for Aroden, or would you rather have Iomedae fulfill that role?

Is it too late to throw my hat in the ring?

Here's a summary of the character build for Anakim. Working on the backstory, etc...

(I had submitted another character in the previous recruitment thread, but decided to go for something somewhat different...)

Not at all, recruitment ends on the 15th.

Okay so I posted my character down below. His backstory, which includes his traits and how they came into play, as well as his archetype choices, are at the end.

Lorian is a Paladin/Swashbuckler gestalt. I'm hoping to build him to be the supreme longsword duelist, being a paladin that uses light armor and buckler with a longsword instead of heavy plate and shield. I feel this character would have plenty of reason to be involved and stay involved through the entire campaign. Additionally, I left enough nebulousness to the Stolen Fury trait's part of his backstory to allow for others who may be selected who also have that trait.

Lorian:

Lorian Farlight

--------------------
Lorian is the eldest son of Mariah and Bink Farlight, both Mendev Crusaders. They were natives of Sarkoris, but that was generations ago. Now the kellid family brings the fights to the demons. Well, they did. Having two children and the slowing of the 4th crusade put an end to that.

Of the two siblings, Lorian seemed destined to renew the crusade against evil. He had been blessed by the church, and even from a young age, he desired to free his homeland from the demons that pervaded it.

Years ago, Lorian and his younger sister were captured by cultists of Baphomet. The cult slipped into their home in the middle of the night, and while his parents fought hard, they were slain and the two children were taken. Somewhere within Kenabres, a vile ritual was being enacted.

Lorian was the first to be used in their most recent attempts at completing the ritual. It did not go anywhere like the cult expected. Lorian was old enough to know what they did to his parents, and what they would do to his sister. It made him angry, furious that such evils would go about desecrating his house and his family. The ritual collapsed, messily at that. With the cultists dead or gravely injured, Lorian pulsed with an unknowable anger.

He fought his way free, taking his sister and any other children with him as he escaped. The escapees were found by a contingent of Paladins searching for the cult and were given succor.

In the years that followed, Lorian devoted every ounce of his life to aiding in the crusade. He had a fire within his heart, but he desired only to use it to forge himself into a blade against the demons. His devotion did not go unnoticed. Iomedae herself recognized his will, and through her church he was bestowed with a sword and the blessings of the goddess. He swore an oath then and there to uphold the crusade, until either the Worldwound was closed, or his heart beat its last.

He practiced with the blade for years, training his swordplay with some of the best paladins of the crusade. His force of will and natural talent with battle would make him a valiant contributor to the crusades... if they could get moving again.

Seems fine.

Let me know when you've got a backstory.
Or redirect me to it if I missed it.

I'm not a 'no' to it, but I'm also not itching to take it on. If there aren't enough active takers for the boon/ire thing, sure I guess.

rungok wrote:

No worries, plenty of acceptors already.

Added a brief backstory to the character. Any notes? Want more? I'll endeavour to specify his code, if/when...

As for the entity influence, an absolute yes to either favour or ire, as you see fit. Or an item, which would fit. Up to you!

Interested in an Unchained Rogue/Aegis, Thiefling. Moth follower (neat deity), ire or boon both sound interesting. Will cook something up shortly. Make a mythweaver first, then convert to forum standards after that if thats alright.

After some thought I've reconsidered. Some attention from this Entity could be interesting for Haruto.

I'd still put him at lower priority than others, however. As an Oracle/Sorcerer and a Kitsune he'll already have a bunch of weird things happening to him as he levels, so he doesn't really need more. But I'd be open to it.

With the feat tax thingy in place. Could I get TWF or other fitting feat instead of free Weapon finesse on my Unchained Rogue at lvl 1?

Also, the OP said we are using pretty much any paizo pathfinder material. Does that incluse combat stamina?
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/other-rules/stamina-and-combat-tricks -optional-rules/
Because if so, I have something I have been dying to try out.

Unchained rouge's weapon finesse can be replaced with weapon foucs or dodge.

You can take combat stamina, yes.

So noted.

I'm terribly interested, the trouble is I have too many ideas to narrow it down. I'll evaluate what already exists so I can select an appropriate submission.
