First of, I wouldn't say it's too tough. The CR is well within what this group can handle. Challenging yes... too tough no. Besides, if every fight was a pushover you guys would get bored. hehe

And in your logic, it seems you're assuming a few things - namely what it is and what it's purpose is... ;)

"Too tough" was maybe wrong way to put it, but certainly tough, assuming my ooc suspicions are correct ofc. Heck for all I know its a Ray of Enfeeblement spell with an illusion attached ;)

I can assume all I want, doesnt mean im going to play on it. Gil might take a move action to do a knowledge check next turn though, assuming hes able to get a good enough look at it to use the right one (Religion most likely in this case)

Bingo. And an interesting comment you make sir - reminds me of this post. ;) I did roll for Felrin's perception to detect it since he was in the lead and had darkvision. It was just a cruddy roll which resulted in the thing being triggered. There'll be an interesting development (I'm hoping) as the group pulls out that may offer another avenue for the tower.

Well with Numair being the prime mover to go and get the Warden... with him being out of it... I think escape is our priority.

Liters to gallons is a little less than 4 to 1, so it's almost a million liters. Which turns out to be very bad for fish. I do mostly hazmat response and clean-up, so this is a bit out of my lane, but I'll try to figure it out.

Well I'm still inclined to forget the warden and get out of dodge. But I could support a decent plan to go and wack the warden in the dark... :)

Well since hes got the place trapped, if we can get past it / them safely, we might be able to end the encounter before it begins.

Sounds like we have Gil/Numair for going up the tower, Izzy for the carriage and Malum going both ways... Felrin is sporadic and Twigs hasn't chimed in yet... If Twigs is for the carriage and Felrin unavailable, Malum will be the deciding factor. If Twigs is for going up the tower, then the group goes back in I take it?

I'm all for bolting to the carriage. I'm expecting that shadow is still lingering around, and I dont fancy our chances, especially if the rest of Branderscar follow our trail of corpses and trap us inside. Unless he's left alone outside, Twigs won't be heading back in there. I'll post an IC post first chance I get.

Also a molasses spill, that's... a new one. Sounds like messy work!

@Malum - the AM field actually ends part-way btwn the 2nd and third floor. Am I correct in assuming you want to cast it the minute you are out of it? Reason I ask is... well... what if the warden knows you're coming and is waiting quietly in the dark for someone to come into range? ;) Which is why I wanted to confirm marching order and all that order good stuff. He's a mean one that warden...
