Appearance:

Face
Izabelle is a curious thing. Her skin is marked and scarred, her lips are blackened and dark. Her eyes are intense and wild, only emphasized by the thick and roughly applied kohl (eyeliner) she wears around them to block the sun's glare. Her hair is a tangle of wavy black locks, most often tied back loosely with leather cord. Her nose is small and pointed, crinkling like that of a hound when she is displeased.

Body
Izabelle's body is deceptively strong - though her size is no greater than the average woman, she possesses a huge amount of strength and muscle, a fact often hidden by her clothing. She eats often and well, and because of this, her impressive musculature is given a sense of thickness rather than being lean, particularly towards the hips where she muffins slightly.

Clothing
Most of Izabelle's clothing is built from the hides of creatures that she herself has killed. She wears a leather breastplate reinforced with strips of bone for protection, and a wolf-pelt muffler about her neck. Her pants are unremarkable leather breeches, folded upwards to just under the knee. She often goes barefoot, preferring to feel the ground beneath her, wearing only a single unadorned leather anklet on each leg.

Backstory:

As the youngest daughter of a family of eight, Izabelle had always been looked down upon as weak. She was small for her age, constantly bullied by other children, her siblings included. It sickened her. Each day she shouted and fought with bigger children, swearing that one day she'd be the stronger than all of them. She was met with laughter.

Eventually it was too much for her, and she fled from the city towards the Caer Bryr. The years that followed were a blur of savagery and desperate survival. Not once did she regret her decision. The wilderness would make her strong. It would shape her into something more than the pathetic, weak men of the civilized world. Beasts, bandits and unseelie fey - these became her teachers and inspirations. She saw the pure rule of strength outside the walls of Talingarde. She saw the true face of the world, and it pleased her. She became a predator. A hunter. A killer.

When she came of age, she returned to her former home. She would show them who was the stronger now. They would know how wrong they were.

Izabelle went on a killing spree, hunting down those who had called her weak in the past. The murders were intimate and close. She humiliated them, made sure they knew just who decided whether they would live or die. Sometimes she would hunt them herself. Other times she would leave it to her animal servitor. Ultimately she was captured, overpowered by the guard and sent to Branderscar for her crimes. It wouldn't hold her for long.

Fun-Facts
Home
Izabelle grew up in Ghastenhall with her three older brothers and four older sisters. Her mother has passed away from natural causes, and her father has since retired, looked after by her two oldest siblings. One of her sisters has passed away after falling into a river and drowning, whilst one of her brothers was devoured by monsters whilst on a hunt.

Throughout her killing spree, she was working up to the ultimate confrontation with her siblings upon whom she would impress her power, but was arrested before she could get there.

The Caer Bryr
This is where Izabelle has spent most of her life. She was never accepted by the Iraen, and she never found any friends amongst the beasts. Here, the trees whispered to her and the wind told her the secrets of the world.

The Heartlands
Izabelle did not spend all of her time in the wilds. Occasionally she would enter villages and towns to trade pelts and herbs for reagents or tools that she needed. Sometimes she would poach or steal. Other times she would claim a human sacrifice for some ritual or feast.

Concept and Philosophy:

It's a dog-eat-dog world out there. It's a world of violence and brutality, and that's exactly how it should be. Only the strong deserve to live. The men of Talingarde have forgotten this. They've grown soft and weak under the rule of law. But the law can't protect them. Not forever. Soon the natural order will be restored. The strong will prey on the weak, and everything will be right in the world.

Izabelle is a killer. She believes in one thing above all - Survival of the fittest: The strong devour the weak. Literally. She eats the flesh of those she kills. She doesn't have any qualms about eating sentient beings. In her eyes all creatures are beasts, regardless of any pretense of "civilization".

However, Izabelle does not kill without reason. She follows the laws of the wild. She does not kill for pleasure or sport. She kills to survive. She kills to assert her dominance. She kills to send a message. All blood spilled has a purpose.

Izabelle makes use of blood magic and sacrifice (Both of animals and people). Nature is harsh and uncaring, and she tries to emulate that. Though she is essentially selfish in her actions, she can respect and cooperate with those who prove their strength. She recognizes the natural urge to cooperate with others to achieve greater goals and will do so as long as she views her companions as worthy. The weak will be weeded out.
