Lance would be fully healed it if was two days :)
GM Fuzzfoot |
Nope, your fine. I was confused - I could have swore the post I was referencing came AFTER the overseer announcement. I must have just been really tired when I read it. So yes, you should have been bolded, and now your action is as you stated. This had been a long scenario with all the site problems - most of which now seem resolved!

The orange undead flies right at Ajir, swiping a claw at him as he closes (about 3 feet in air).
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
The blue ragewight enters a rage state and moves to a position behind orange. He has a greatsword in one hand and a javelin in the other, and stands ready.
Although the map looks like difficult terrain, I see nothing in the scenario to indicate it is meant to be, so consider it normal.

The Twinhorn Kellids are thankful for your assistance and direct you to the main encampment to talk with their leaders. They also mention that creatures have been pouring from a portal at the stone circle since nightfall and ask that you hold back the tide of undead and find a way to close the portal.
The Twinhorn following has numerous tents made of thick animal hides (hardness 2, 10 hit points), and they have creates a partial palisade around the camp’s core to provide a windbreak and make the site easier to defend. The palisade is 10 feet tall.
As you reach the camp, you must decide to either meet with the Twinhorn elders (the Seeking Aid encounter) or fend off the undead that are attacking the settlement (the Spirits of the Past and Planar
Opportunists encounters).
~Lance~ |
Lance awaits the party thoughts - "Seek the aid of these people, or shall we continue to vanquish foes - I'm happy either way"
Daniel Thrace |
Daniel considers their options, "well, I ain't exactly the one to present a nuanced case for aid so at best I could glower less. I'd suggest we keep doing what we are good at and destroy abominations."
Ajir |
Ajir's flames do not wane at the prospect of destroying more abominations. "Well said, my friend. To rise again from the ashes, one must first be reduced to ashes. Let us grant these warped creatures new life!"

As usual, Dortlin turns my 10 minute post into a 4 hour research and discussion project! Thanks, dude. :)
OK, so here's what I have learned. With regards to PFS legal, there is no consensus among the other GMs in the special. I did find that the boon has the exact same language as a Wayang ability, but that didn't help too much as no one seems to have come to a consensus on the boards, either. Most, I think, agree that the benefit as you describe it is out of line with the power intended. However, many of those also admit that RAW, they can see it. Depending on how you read it, I can see it fall many ways. GM Granta offered another compromise, but it is in no way RAW. But if you are willing, I can see us agreeing to it for this scenario, and that is to basically use the chill touch spell as a model, which would prevent the ability damage for physical abilities (Str, Dex, Con), but in exchange you have to roll a Will save or be panicked and flee. (I would say DC 15) If you are ok with this, you can use the boon. If not, then I say save the boon.
Ajir just misses the shadow with his flame blade, and Vasility gets into position, encouraging you all to be heroic.

Peribras's Companion: Darkpaw |
Darkpaw runs to the fight and nips at the shadow.
bite, attack, magic fang, inspired: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 7 + 1 + 1 = 21 for p/b/s, MAGIC: 1d6 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 10

Blue is currently inside a tent, so you can't target with arrows. You could ready an attack for when it comes out, though.
Two arrows slam into the orange shade and cause it to dissipate with a strange death rattle.
Darkpaw continues moving forward, and with his magically enhanced teeth, manages to pull a bit of the yellow shadow off, which disintegrates in his jaws.
Aid token passed!
Round 2: (Bold may act)

Dortlin Golani |
For some reason the forum was not showing any new posts in this thread. Other threads yes but not this one. Weird. And since I presume I would have to make the save every time I'll save the boon.
Dortlin has Clyde move up to yellow and attack. His Narrow Frame means he has to problems in the crowded space.
He then bites yellow.
First activate Broken Wing Gambit
Including: BAB +4, Str +7, Flank +4, size -1, Inspire +1
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25 for blugoning/slashing/piercing dmg: 1d6 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 1 = 11
Dortlin will attack with his magic Nodachi.
First activate Broken Wing Gambit.
Including: BAB +4, Str +3, Flank +5, Magic Weapon +1, Inspire +1, Lead Blades increases dmg dice
Nodachi: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28 for slashing/piercing/cold iron/magic dmg: 2d8 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (8, 1) + 5 + 1 = 15
Aoo from both due to Broken Wing Gambit + Paired Opportunists.
Clyde
Including: BAB +4, Str +7, Flank +4, size -1, Inspire +1, Paired Opportunists +4
Bite: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (14) + 18 = 32 for blugoning/slashing/piercing dmg: 1d6 + 7 + 1 + 2d6d6 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 + (4, 3, 2, 3, 6, 6, 4, 5) = 43
Dortlin

aoo from Clyde
Including: BAB +4, Str +7, size -1, Inspire +1

I was wondering - you were much less present than usual, I was starting to worry! Is Clyde have anything making his attack magical, like magic fang? I looked back, but don't see anything.
Dortlan manages to slice off a piece of the yellow darkness, but Clyde bites right through it, catching nothing.
Yellow strikes back at Dortlan, triggering a flurry of responses, but again, only a slight cut from Dortlan for their effort.
Touch Attack vs Dortlan: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 2 = 16
Strength Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
It is easy to see Dortlan starting to weaken.
Blue moves in, but because he was inside a tent, neither Clyde nor Darkpaw will get an AoO for movement (since they don't threaten the square it leaves).
Fate: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Touch Attack vs Dortlin: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
Intelligence Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Round 3: (Bold may act)
Blue
Peribras, Wolf (magic fang)
Dortlin (9 str dmg, 5 Int dmg, lead blades), Clyde
Lance, Flash
Daniel (gravity bow)
Vasily
Ajir (2 str dmg)
Yellow (12 dmg)
Vasily Petrescu - PFS |
Round 3
Seeing the undead creature touch Dortlin, Vasily begins casting a spell, unleashing a silent scream that can only be heard by the target. The spell creates a sonic attack, that is deafening to the foe.
Cast Ear-Piercing Scream. Target gets a DC 16 Fort save to avoid daze effect (which may not work on undead anyway) and half damage.
EPS damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7
