GM Fuzzfoot |
D'lack bolt is sticking out of the tik taan.

Ranor
Bad Guys
Kayde
Armistead
Althera
D'lack
Agent
GM Fuzzfoot |
D'lacks crossbow suddenly warps, making it useless. I am not sure if it gets a Will save - the warp wood spell is not extremely clear.
Round 3 (Bold may act)
Bad Guys
Kayde
Armistead
Althera
D'lack
Agent
Ranor
Ranor |
Perception- Bit of Luck: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Catching sight of the creature Ranor moves at it with his flail.
Flail: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 = 25
Bot of Luck: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 1 = 21
1d1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5
GM Fuzzfoot |
Correct!
Ranor smacks the wooden creature hard, sending bits of it off. It appears to revert back to an inanimate object.
D'lack Firestar |
Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
His weapon rendered useless, D'lack decided to use his magic.
He looked around him to find the creature.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Kayde Morson |
Kayde looks curiously at the bound elf.
”Anyone know if this is Nigel?” the half-orc asks, ”and if it is … what then? That scroll thing?”
Does Nigel (i’m assuming this is him) look like he’s okay? Or is he also out of his mind?
Perception/Heal: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
I guess this is a Delay until we figure out what to do up here.
GM Fuzzfoot |
He looks to be out of his mind, and ready to be sacrificed.
GM Fuzzfoot |
D'lack does indeed see the totem, and it sits there completely still.
The apes in the room are still howling and clanging, and an elf is still strapped down at the top of the ziggurat, ranting and raving.
Kayde Morson |
Kayde looks over to D'lack and Althera, "Either of you know how to activate that scroll thingy?" He looks nervously at Nigel. "I'd rather our boy on our team before we try to untie him."
Also, who has the scroll? D'lack?
GM Fuzzfoot |
The elf that is tied down and screaming? I can't find a rule for knocking him unconscious, although you can do a coup de grace to kill him. You could just beat him with a stick (non-lethal) until unconscious. Or just grapple damage him every round. You would get +4 to hit, and he gets a -5 AC due to no dex, so essentially, you can't miss (with melee options).
GM Fuzzfoot |
@Kayde - OK, roll non-lethal damage each round.
Meanwhile...
Althera smacks the toem with her staff, smashing it into splinters - the Tik Taan is destroyed. The room suddenly falls dead silent - not a single monkey makes a sound, and the elf strapped to the table passes out. It is eerie. Quiet.
GM Fuzzfoot |
Upon breaking the silence, the monkeys and apes in the room start chittering quietly, and begin to escape out of the museum through the closest door or window. You also see the mists start to evaporate. It does indeed seem that the threat is over.
The Agent |
The Agent winces as Kayde pummels the bound half-elf, but doesn't feel like he's one to challenge the half-orc's work.
"Man, oww, man... if the elf remembers what you're doing..."
Blinking and turning away, the Agent finally returns to observing once the smack smacking subsides.
"Did it work? Is he still uhhh, mist-tainted?"
Kayde Morson |
Kayde didn't hit him. He grabbed him specifically so he didn't have to hit him.
Kayde shrugs as he shifts from trying to sleeper-hold the elf to trying to untie the restraints. "Either way, we should get him out."
GM Fuzzfoot |
Nigel wakes up, and shakes his head. He thanks you, puts on a robe, and thanks you again. He then asks you to come with him. He leads you into one of the exhibit halls, and opens a case, removing from it a Mwangi spear.
"This a rare weapon from his my own personal collection. I would like you to have it, in gratitude for your work here. You saved me, the museum, and many animals that were under the influence of that evil idol. The weapon is an incredibly ancient Mwangi spear that Chelish explorers found near the colony of Sargava during the reign of the expansionist Chelish prince, Haliad I."
The spear is a bejeweled masterwork spear with brittle, white bird feathers tied with crumbling leather straps beneath the still-sharp spearhead. You estimate the worth at 750 gp.
You know it will be worth a great deal to the Pathfinder Society and they’d hungrily pay to include it in their collection.
"In addition, here is an ioun stone. As you probably already know, you can place some ioun stones of these in those wayfinders of yours to create fantastic magical effects. Sadly, this one is inferior to most, but still I would like you to have it."
With the curse of the Tik Taan ended, the Blakros Museum returns to business as usual (after some clean up). When Nigel discovers it was Adril who sent you, he is deeply touched and eventually his friendship with the hulking venture-captain is repaired. More importantly, he now makes all of the Blakros Museum’s vast collection available to the Society for study and considers re-petitioning membership.
Congratulations! The scenario is complete. I will be working on chronicles today, so if you want anything listed on them, please post it in the discussion thread. Thank you all for an entertaining game!
