The sniper has the precise shot special ability, which as I now research, I can't find it anywhere other than the statblock on the AP so I'll share that with you.

Boot clamps and zero G. Could we go on the underside of the tow line to to block the sniper's line of fire? Not certain how large that is. Also, it looks like a move action to fling yourself off solid objects and keep moving half your speed. Would DR34-M12 be able to fling and aim towards the entrance or some other safe(ish) landing zone? I imagine there is a check involved in there somewhere.

@DR34-M12 that would be a correct assumption, this tow cable is about 3 feet in diameter so it is possible to gain cover if you move to another side of the cable while climbing.

the shot burns right through whatever armor Justin is wearing and, even in space, Hi-C can smell the burnt flesh and fur; Hi-C also lets a shot off as soon as the sniper shows itself and even with the cover Hi-C' shot connects and hits the sniper, causing it to flee farther down into the tunnel and out of sight for now.

You should probably re-read the zero-g rules. It's a full round to move 30ft, and you are using clamps to stay on the line. You can't run at full speed in 0g and just lift your legs. You also need cover to stealth.

@shMarti, Just to make sure we are on the same page: round 1 you fired, round 2 you took a double move and let go. I assumed you meant a double climb, which at 30ft of movement a double climb would put you at 30 ft from your round 1 location. If you let go at the end of round 2 you would only move 30ft, and that movement isn't free, its all you can do without propulsion in spaces you at the start of round 3, whether you let go or not really, you are 90ft from your start position. I've labeled them 1-3 on the map for reference.

Now if you do let go, then you wouldn't have gotten the clamp bonus and the climb check would become DC10 instead of DC5 so I would need to have you roll that if you want to attempt to the free float.

@Egg, the DC with boot clamps provided by armor is 5, as far as I could tell you don't have an athletics score so you will need to roll to move, specifically because you are under fire. it doesnt look like you have a penalty so the worst thing that could happen is you would make not progress, but because movement is not guaranteed, I need the check. You do still have your round 3 actions though.

Justin will fly Hi c 20 feet forward, pushing him almost at the cave. Newton should do the rest. Then he's going to fly 20 feet up the fluffy bunny death rock and put himself out of the way of the shots ( I saw the guy before and i think he's IN the cave? If he's outside it i'll just fly inside instead: since the only thing that slows them down is 10 feet of rock apparently thats what i'm looking to get between me and him)

tldr: standard action push Hi C in his direction move action move in NOT his direction.

Hi-C arrives at the mouth of the cave and is able to to grab onto the wall, the surface is rough enough to provide plenty of handholds however the caver is completely dark so unless Hi-C has a way to illuminate his way he sees nothing.

@Justin, you are sure the sniper was coming from inside the cavern, you were close enough to be sure that they fled inside once you and Hi-C got close enough.

Once in the cave, Hi-C will let loose of his artillery laser and draw his magically illuminated pike while heading directly towards the sniper, his arms and legs sprawled out like a humanoid scorpion closing in on prey.

@Hi-C, once Justin lights up your pike you see a narrow cavern that goes along about 20 feet and then a passage branches off to the.... well you'll call it north for now. a move action climb on the walls will get you to right where it branches off, as you look down what you can see of each path, you don't see the sniper. Which direction do you head?

@Justin, the astroid is suprisingly unblemished for such a large chunk of rock that was traveling through space, however you are able to find at least a not terrible place to drink your serum.

Justin starts to drink his potion, realizes its hard to drink in space, then Just uses his ability to fly to do cartwheels in place using centrifical force to drive the potion down his gullet.

What's the gravity of the situation?
I mean, what is movement like on the asteroid?

I would really like to find a relatively safe place and do some analysis of the asteroid. Is it especially hard or dense? What is it made of, and does it have any special properties?

@schMarti, the gravity is zero G and movement in or on the astroid will follow those rules. the astroid does appear rough enough to provide handholds for crawling around if you don't have a method of propulsion. as for the Physical Science check, a purely visual inspection tells you that it is definitely made of some sort of rock. The ships scans were unable to determine the composition of the astroid however.

I've looked at the zero-g rules and I don't quite understand our current situation. It mentions handholds with respect to climb speeds but I don't believe we have a climb speed. Do we just assume that with the handholds, we can continue to move at half our normal movement?

Handsome moves up behind Hi-C, pulling out his pistol and readies an action to shoot anything hostile that appears from either tunnel!

@handsome, That's my understanding of it. because almost all armor has boot clamps the handholds make it very easy and i'm thinking you can move at half speed with no check if you are in armor.
