Not exactly. Whoever makes piloting checks each round adds their ranks in piloting to AC and TL all the time. the glide action allows one person to still add their piloting rank to the AC and TL as long as no other piloting checks were rolled.

So right now, the Sunrise Maiden (SM) has an AC and TL of 16 because DR34-M12 has 3 ranks in piloting. If she ever decides to fire a weapon, or make an engineer or science check, the ships speed would be cut in half and turn radius would go up by 2 but you would still have AC and TL 16.

Now that I write this out I see that the Cairncarver could not have hit the Maiden specifically because you took the evade action. *facepalms*

essentially if you evade the SM's AC and TL should be 18.

I'm sorry about that folks...

Justin, you can keep that die result but change what you did on your engineering phase since you guys Never actually took damage.

Cool beans, didn't make sense for that to be so much better than the real actions.

It's up to Friendly Sauce but the way I interpret the rules when I run starship combat, I allow it.

The +1 is a circumstance bonus from the ship's computer which stacks with other bonuses except circumstance bonuses from the same source. The +1 piloting bonus is, I think, from the ship's thrusters, so I believe they stack.

As for the pilot initiative check, the computer +1 bonus is applied to any "starship combat check". The initiative check is a "Piloting check" and I interpret "Piloting checks" to be a "starship combat check." But this one really comes down to each individual GM. There's room for interpreting it either way.

Propulsion, if we can outfly them we can avoid the weapons.

On the Society Cards there is a graphite carbon skin armor but I'm not seeing that in the loot. Where did we pick that up from?

I'm probably just missing something but how are we managing to fire more than two weapons per round at the corpse fleet ship?

I thought each weapon can be fired only once per round (except for AOOs). And the target is generally only in one arc, so we can fire the fixed gun in that arc and the turret.

Maybe the target ship was sitting right on the border of two arcs, allowing one gunner to fire from one arc while a second gunner fires from the other arc?

Exactly this. It’s possible to position yourself so that a ship is is in more than one firing arc, allowing for lots of guns to be fired. Any one gun can still only be fired one a round however.

Okay, I've looked at the rules and it seems to me that an enemy ship can be in one arc only as Hi-C said. The Range and Arc section says a target ship "can’t be targeted by weapons in two arcs" which sounds to me like an awkward way of saying we can fire at a ship with only one of our arc's weapons.

The one possible exception, I think, is if the pilot pulls off a flyby maneuver, in which case we can have a weapons from any arc take a shot at any quadrant of the target. But based on my reading of it, I think we're still limited to weapons only in that one arc.

Anyways, the wording is a little fuzzy so I'm happy with whatever your interpretation is!

I've mentioned him a few times already, but is everyone cool with treating Ford as our Manager/PR guy? I'm not sure if there was an actual reason given for his departure, but in my head he got some kind of spacetube deal for his own channel or some such. Which is why I've had DR34-M12 comment on sending him footage and the like.

Yeah I think what's been happening is that Handsome zeroes out the sheet after announcing in one of the threads how much we get each time.

I keep track of every transaction because I don't trust myself not to count something twice.

I only have three fingers on each hand.

Yup, that's right. Every time I post in this thread saying something like "Okay guys, I've done the calculations to divide up the loot and everyone gets 2000 credits!!" I then zero out the amounts in the shared party sheet.

Everyone then adds that 2000 to your own character sheet and account for your own shopping on your own. The party credit pool is the "sixth" share when dividing up credits that we use for general group expenses as needed.

The previous time I did this was on this post: LINK

In cases where the GM says "You each get paid 1000" then nothing goes onto the shared party sheet as everyone would just add that 1000 to your own character sheet.
