The damp walls of this dark cavern display a bewildering variety of obscure and esoteric symbols painted in bright, clashing colors and pigments. A creature looking like a large fungal brain atop five ropy legs, encrusted with fungal shelves inhabits this room. A wide mouth with chitinous teeth gapes on top of its body, and two long tendrils lash the air above it. Also the form seems to constantly change or it is hidden by images appearing in mid air, making its true form and nature difficult to determine.
As Spugnoir comes close it comes closer and starts to telepatically communicate flooding the half orc with questions.

Croon almost falls overboard in shock as the whole party suddenly stands in front of him. With no need for the submersible being down there anymore he starts reeling it in. "What did you find? What is the reason for the bubbles? Did you find the watcher in the bay?" Croon wants to know.
We did and managed to drive it off after it tried attacking us. I'm afraid there are quite a number of hostile fish men down there. Have you ever heard of fish men coming up to town?

Croon asks questions over questions about what you have seen under the sea. Once the submersible is on board again, the ship takes course back to the shore and the pier two miles from town. An hour later the ship is tied to the pier - this time without any incidents.

Were Fishers lost, or townsfolk? I'm wondering if the Skum were grabbing people as they also were short on food, or if the townsfolk were performing human sacrifice to bring the fish back.
