Loot list

Harrow point uses:
  • Constitution Rerolls: PC can spend a Harrow Point to reroll a Fortitude saving throw, stabilization check, or other Constitution-based check. She must abide by the new result (although if she has additional Harrow Points remaining, she can use them to attempt additional rerolls).
  • Damage Reduction: PC can spend a Harrow Point to gain DR 3/—. This damage reduction persists for the duration of the encounter in which she spent the Harrow Point. A PC can’t spend multiple Harrow Points to increase this damage reduction.
  • Fast Hit Point Recovery: A PC can spend a Harrow Point after resting for 1 minute to recover from her recent ordeals. She regains a number of hit points equal to her character level and 1 point of ability damage each time she does so (this does not remove ability drain). She can spend a Harrow Point in this manner once after each encounter.
  • Number of times plague has been contracted:
    Aloysia = 0
    Gamon = 2
    Jolon = 1
    Nicolai = 2

    Retcon of the Retcon
I realized too late that I made a couple of mistakes on your latest haul. One of the wands should be Cure Serious Wounds not Cure Moderate as I had posted. Also the candelabras are worth more than I had posted. The correct values of both are listed on the loot list.
Note to self: Do not try to post until after you've had your morning caffeine.

TOTALLY understand GM Fez, and I'll second what the others have said: Very happy for you and your family!

I'm also down to keep going, but I won't be able to really volunteer on the GMing side. I'm riding a tight line of time kind of like GM Fez, but I'm more than happy to continue playing as a player until a new GM can be found once Nicolai wants to not be the GM.

And yes, I'm all about that fencing game for loot :)

Thank you for the great GMing, GM Fez! I understand your situation all too well, and wish you good luck with the job!

And Nicolai/Whiterose, thank you for your service in the interrim!

I can keep going, if that's what we decide, though I'm definitely NOT GM material by any stretch, and I have time constraints to deal with as well. Also DIBS ON THE HEALING WAND! :P

Okay everyone, as your new Kind and Benevolent GM™, I'm giving everyone chance to respec their characters. Is there some feat you regret taking, stats you wish to rearrange, skill points you want to reallocate, class choices you wish to redo, etc... now here's your chance (with a few caveats, You must meet the prerequisites on any new feat you take, you must remain within the 15 point window, and so on).

Since no one seemed particularly keen on speaking up on the loot list I took the liberty, again, and began assigning magic items to people. Look over my choices and if you see something you'd want instead let me know.

Aloysia: Potion of cure moderate wounds, Potion of poison (See the spell Poison), Headband of inspired wisdom +2 (I gave this to Aloysia so she could sell it and then give the money to Nicolai so he could make her a Belt of incredible dexterity +2, thereby keeping it revenue neutral)., flask of alchemist's fire, and a second disguise kit (a spare never hurts).

Gamon: Amulet of natural armor +1, +2 breastplate (He could then bequeath his +1 agile breastplate to Jolon, who has no magic armor), Belt of mighty constitution +2, and a Potion of cure moderate wounds

Jolon: Potion of remove disease, Scroll of bless, scroll of cure light wounds, flask of holy water, healer's kit, +1 agile breastplate (from Gamon), Ring of protection +1, cloak of resistance +1 (From Nicolai), belt of mighty constitution +2, potion of cure moderate wounds, incense of meditation x3, wand of cure serious wounds, wand of remove disease, scroll of raise dead, and a scroll of restoration

Nicolai: Masterwork club, scroll of burning hands, scroll of magic missile, flask of alchemist's fire, thunderstone, blank spellbook, +1 dagger, headband of vast intelligence +2 (he's going to sell this one and make one of his own design), wand of magic missile, scroll of teleport, Rolth's spellbook, cloak of resistance +2 (He'll then give his +1 cloak to Jolon), and a potion of cure moderate wounds

That leaves us with a conundrum. Each of the cultists had four potions of cure light wounds on them and as far as I can tell none of them used one, which leaves us with 56 potions (that's 14 each). I propose we split them up equally and then you can keep as many as you like and donate, or sell, the rest.

I'm fine with that distribution of items. If possible, Gamon would also love to sell the +2 Belt of Con and have Nicolai craft a belt of Strength, but no bit deal if not.

I think splitting the potions makes sense, we have a lot of healing via the wand we just picked up but it never hurts to have more, and being able to sell them gives us flexibility to pick up a bit more gold if we're just shy of being able to afford something valuable.

Wow, that was long but the muse struck me.

I'm sorry if that caught anyone off guard but GM Fez and I have been working on Nicolai and Kroft's burgeoning romance behind the scenes, via PM, for over a year now and I thought now was a good time to make it public, otherwise I'm just playing with myself.

For an additional 3,000 Nicolai can add an another enhancement to the belt. So it could be a Belt of Physical Might (+2 Str, +2 Con). It would take him six days to create.

If we stick to the above plan and sell off the rest of the unclaimed items everybody gets an additional 17,649 GP's, 6 SP's, and 2 CP's
As I said I don't think we need to worry about WBL for a while now.

So far Nicolai is booked for the next 14 days (10 for his headband, and 4 for Aloysia's belt) so if anyone wants anything else made now's the time to speak up.

Is that ~17k gp per player, or total?

I will probably take you up on the Belt of Physical Might, but need to tally up everything else first before deciding on what's most worth upgrading.

I had no idea that Nicolai and Kroft had anything going on, but I'm glad you were still able to play that out despite also taking over the GM side as well.

    That's each!

Seriously, there are some big ticket items on there that no one wanted. The Flask of Curses goes for 25k (12,500), there's 10 suits of Full Plate at 15,000 (7,500), 12 Plaguebringer's Masks at 24,000 (12,000), 14 +1 Breastplates at 18,900 (9,450), the +2 vicious scythe is over 18 grand by itself (9,159). The total for everything unclaimed is 70,598.51, then divide that by 4.
There is just a ton of crap there.

    Nice!

I will definitely take you up on the Belt of Physical Might, and will also upgrade my Greataxe to +2 and probably buy some other things as well. I bought an Ioun stone using our writ, could I buy a wayfinder to slot it into and gain an additional bonus as well? I know some GMs aren't a big fan of those rules, so always want to check first.

[Curse of the Crimson Throne Battlemaps]; [Skull & Shackles Battlemaps]

I'm okay with that. Just to keep things simple I'd go with Method 1.

    Wayfinders and Ioun Stones:

Within each wayfinder is a fine lattice of wires that serve to channel the power of ioun stones, allowing the owner of a wayfinder to benefit from a stone’s power without the attendant risk of having a valuable item orbiting around her head. In addition, the magic worked into the wayfinder amplifies the power of the ioun stone, usually (about 75% of the time) unlocking new abilities in addition to the stone’s normal power. Unfortunately, the energy required is such that the magical properties of the wayfinder itself are diverted to power the ioun stone, temporarily negating the wayfinder’s normal abilities. The mechanism of using a wayfinder to boost the power of an ioun stone is usually called augmenting, channeling, enhancing, or resonating.

The resonant aura of a wayfinder interacting with an ioun stone can be detected and identified with detect magic (or similar spells) and the Spellcraft skill, just like any other magic item.

The auras of multiple augmenting wayfinders tend to interfere with each other; a person with one who tries to hold or carry a second usually finds that both sputter out in just a few seconds, but activate again once the second one is set aside. Some advanced, expensive wayfinders may hold more than one ioun stone at the same time and still function (though another wayfinder can interfere if brought too close).
Method 1, The Static Assignment: All ioun stones of a particular color and shape react exactly the same way to all wayfinders. This is the easiest and fastest method, but lacks variety and allows the PCs to easily predict what a new stone or device will do when combined. For a listing of these combinations, see below.

    Resonant Powers (Method 1)
The resonant powers of the most common forms of ioun stones are listed below. If the power is a feat, the bearer gains that feat as a bonus feat even if he does not meet its prerequisites.

Spell effects with uses per day are spell-like abilities.

Agate ellipsoid: Increases the caster level of divination spells by 1.

Amber spindle: 5% chance per Reflex saving throw of granting the wearer evasion against that effect; bonuses from multiple amber spindles stack.

Amethyst ellipsoid: +2 circumstance bonus on Stealth checks against undead.

Clear spindle: The wearer can cast protection from chaos/evil/good/law on himself once per day (CL 12th). He can activate this ability as an immediate action, but doing so drains the ioun stone of it’s magic, turning it into a dull gray ioun stone.

Crimson sphere: +1 competence bonus on single Knowledge skill (chosen by the stone’s creator).

Dark blue rhomboid: The wearer no longer suffer penalties on Perception checks for being distracted or asleep; during sleep the wearer may remain open-eyed and fully aware of his environment, though he is still helpless against undetected threats until he actually wakes up.

Deep red sphere: Improved Unarmed Strike.

Dull gray stone: Read magic 1/day day for 10 minutes.

Dusty rose prism: +1 insight bonus on combat maneuver checks.

Emerald ellipsoid: 5 additional temporary hit points.

Gamboge nodule: +2 resistance bonus on saving throws against disease.

Gold nodule: +1 bonus on saves against language-dependent effects.

    Incandescent blue sphere: Blind-Fight.

Iridescent spindle: Endure elements, as the spell, as well as protection against exposure to vacuum and underwater pressure.

Lavender and green ellipsoid: If the bearer is holding the wayfinder, he may use the stone’s absorption ability as an immediate action instead of a readied action.

Magenta prism: +1 bonus on one saving throw not modified by the ability score the stone is currently attuned to (chosen at the same time as the ability score).

Mossy disk: +1 competence bonus on Appraise checks.

Mulberry pentacle: +2 competence bonus on Sense Motive checks.

Nacreous gray sphere: Miss chance against incorporeal creatures decreases to 25%.

Onyx rhomboid: Virtue at will (self only).

Opalescent white pyramid: Weapon Focus with the stone’s keyed weapon.

Orange prism: Every time the bearer casts a spell, roll 1d4–2 and add this (and the +1 caster level granted by the normal power of the ioun stone) to his caster level. If this modified caster level is too low to cast the spell, the spell fails and is lost.

Pale blue rhomboid: +1 bonus on Fortitude saves.

Pale green prism: Twice per day as a free action the bearer may remove the fatigued condition from himself as a free action (or reduce the exhausted condition to fatigued).

Pale lavender ellipsoid: If the bearer is holding the wayfinder, he may use the stone’s absorption ability as an immediate action instead of a readied action.

Pale orange rhomboid: A soul held within the stone can remain there indefinitely as long as the wayfinder remains on the soul’s original body. If the wayfinder is removed from the body, the ioun stone’s resonant power is suppressed until the wayfinder is replaced.

Pale ruby trillian: Increase by 10 feet the distance the bearer may fall safely (stacks with other effects that increase this distance, such as making Acrobatics checks or falling into water).

Pearly white spindle: +2 sacred bonus on saves against death effects and attacks that rely on negative energy.

Pink and green sphere: +1 bonus on Will saves.

Pink rhomboid: +1 bonus on Reflex saves.

Scarlet and blue sphere: +1 bonus on Will saves.

Scarlet and green cabochon: +5 bonus on Constitution checks made to stabilize.

Silver Spindle: All spell-like abilities granted by race are treated as 1 caster level higher.

Tourmaline sphere: +1 bonus on Constitution checks to stabilize when dying.

Turquoise sphere: +2 competence bonus on Handle Animal checks.

Vermilion rhomboid: Breathe water for up to 10 minutes per day, useable in 1-minute increments.

Vibrant purple prism: As a standard action, the bearer can expend a stored spell to refresh a cast spell of the same level as if using a pearl of power. The bearer can refresh up to 3 spell levels per day using this ability.

    Resonance chance: 1d100 ⇒ 88
Unfortunately, your stone won't resonate with a Wayfinder.

Also, your longbow goes over the 2,500 gp limit (2,800 to be exact). You could get get a vanilla +1 composite longbow (+0 Str, 2,400 gp's) and for an extra 1,000 gp's of your own money add Adaptive to it. That way it automagically scales with your strength, no matter how high it goes (rather than having to buy a new one every time your strength modifier goes up).

Okay, everyone. One of the things this haul has got me thinking about is "how do we transport our loot?" Being in town and bringing things up piecemeal is perfectly doable but, eventually, we're going to be out in the wilderness and will need to transport our loot to town.

One of the things I'm thinking about is a Portable Hole. If everybody chips in 5,000 we can commission one and have it ready in 20 days, just as Nicolai finishes up with everyone's magic items.

Let me know what you think.

Oh you're right, I was doing the math wrong on my calculations for the longbow cost and forgot to add the extra 300 for masterwork. I'll go the Adaptive route, I think.

I would be okay with doing a Portable Hole. With 20 days, would Nicolai have any time left over to craft additional items, or would everything get finished up at around the same time? I have about ~7k left and am thinking about how to best use it.

I'm perfectly fine donating 5000gp for the hole. I do have a Bag of Holding I that is for group supplies to use, but it's filling up quickly to keep my weight requirements down. In the sake of RP, I'll donate my cure potions to the group...Aloysia is far too risky/impulsive/murderous to try to use a round to drink a potion mid-fight. However, I'm happy to hang on to them for between fights if no one else wants to add the carry weight.

I love the belt idea from the headband transfer. I'll definitely do that, let me know when to add it to my character sheet. For gear purposes with the funds I have left I'm going to make my non-mithril magic dagger to mithril for the silver purposes (also weight), and I'm going to change out my two backup daggers to Cold Iron from regular. I'm also going to buy Boots of Speed.

Remind me, is resale of stuff 50% of value?

How do you guys feel about Roll20 for map hosting? I currently have all the maps for the AP stored there (there is a link under my alias). I know it sucks for anything smaller than a tablet but what else would you have in mind?

We could keep on using Google Slides but I'm not too keen on it (I kept accidently moving the background around on it).

    Let me know your preferences.

I'd recommend at least a magic weapon of some type. If you're still married to the idea of the Sunsilver bastard sword, the Citadel's smiths can at least enchant it for you.

Okay! I think I'm primarily caught up except for spending that writ and the rest of the money I have.

What do you folks suggest I buy with it to shore up Jolon?

I've been thinking about magic items and spells recently and the purchasing thereof. I've decided to go with a hybrid approach of PFS and the GameMastery Guide. Items and spells, provided they are under the current base value or spellcasting limit (please note that these statistics fluctuate due to the current state of affairs within the city) have a 75% chance of being available (with the exception of those listed below).

If you wish to purchase an item or learn a new spell roll percentiles, if successful you are able to find someone who is willing and able to create said item. There is no "off the rack" (again, with the exception of those items listed a "always available") so you will need purchase the item and wait the requisite number of days (1 day per 1,000 gp value of the item, rounded up) for it to be created. If you fail your roll, you may try again the next week to find someone available, and so on until you are successful.

    Always available:

    • All basic armor, gear, items, and weapons from Chapter 6 of the Core Rulebook, including Small and Large-sized items. This does not include equipment made from dragonhide, but it does include equipment made from the other special materials, such as alchemical silver and cold iron (see the Special Materials section on page 154 of the Core Rulebook). All mundane (completely nonmagical) weapons, armor, equipment, and alchemical gear found in any other source that is legal for play are considered always available.
    • +1 weapons (2,000 gp + 300 for the masterwork weapon cost + item cost)
    • +1 armor (1,000 gp + 150 for the masterwork armor cost + item cost)
    • +1 shields (1,000 gp + 150 for the masterwork armor cost + item cost)
    • Potions and oils of 0- or 1st-level spells at caster level 1st (50 gp or less)
    • Scrolls of 0- or 1st-level spells at caster level 1 (50 gp or less)

This'll come in handy when I get around to using the rest of my money and that writ to buy stuff...when I can figure out what I can afford...(・・;)

Hey everyone. I'm sorry for the delay but I've been in the middle of an emergency home rehab project. In July I replaced a leaky dishwasher then, a couple of weeks ago, I noticed mold growing through the basement drywall. Apparently the dishwasher was leaking for a while before I noticed it and the water had seeped down the foundation wall and soaked the insulation, causing it to rot. So, I had to rip out the old drywall, cut out the infected studs and remove the rotted insulation all before I could do the mold remediation.

That's all been done and everything, except the drywall, has been replaced but I still estimate that it's going to take me at least another week to get everything finished.

So, rather than keep things languishing in development Hell, I've put out a call for a replacement GM. You can find the replacement thread Here if you want to add anything or follow along.

    Female Half-Elf Rogue (Unchained Knife Master) - 5, Assassin - 3
    Stats:
    CONDITION: NONE, Harrow Points: 4/4, AC 21 (16/16), Fort +4, Ref +13, Will +4, Init +9, Perc +13, HP[/b] 50/50

No problem, even if we don't get a replacement GM, I'm happy to wait until you're available again!

    M Human Slayer 8 (HP 88/88| AC:23 | T:14 | FF:21 | CMB: 12| CMD: 25 | Fort:+10 | Ref:+9 | Will:+4 | Init:+2 | Perc:+11 | Speed 20) 4 harrow points

Same here, you've done a great job so I'm happy to wait if needed, either way hope dealing with the drywall issues haven't been too awful.

Me three! Thanks for the interim GMing as well, and hopefully we can get back on track with you as a player again soon!
