In the sleepy coastal town of Sandpoint, evil is brewing. An attack by crazed goblins heralds the shadows of forgotten past returning to threaten the town- and perhaps all of Varisia.

Map of Sandpoint.

You might want to send him a PM Fenwick.

Male Human Cleric/1 (HP 10/10 | AC:18 | T:11 | FF:17 | CMB: 3 | CMD:14 | Fort:+5 | Ref:+1 | Will:+4 | Init:+5 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

I'm here, waiting. There's a wall of spoiler texts.

Sorry mate. That's my bad...

As it stands, you're currently with Nante and Varian at Hemlock's office where an explosive confrontation may ensue, so I figure you can take a look at their windows. How good is your Diplomacy?

Male Human Cleric/1 (HP 10/10 | AC:18 | T:11 | FF:17 | CMB: 3 | CMD:14 | Fort:+5 | Ref:+1 | Will:+4 | Init:+5 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

I'm +5 Diplomacy. I don't look at spoilers not directed at me. But since you have directed me to look at it, that's fine.

Busy today, so I'd rather put the Nante storyline on hold until tomorrow, if that's alright with y'all. I realize that might have happened anyway, but.

Perfectly fine.

Was going to post this as a response to the discussion in the gameplay thread, but it got so long that I started wondering why the hell we weren't having this discussion in the thread for discussions.

Also, I got tired of writing the "OOC " tags.

Anyway, let's continue the discussion in the thread we have for such things, alright?

So:

I think we all assumed the "declaration" referred to was the one about Jovalson leaving, else we wouldn't have reacted to it.

As regards spoiler etiquette, I confess I've had a sneaky look at spoilered content before, but I haven't metagamed at all based on it. While I'm confessing, I will cop to one bit of metagaming I haven't admitted to before: I built a hatred of goblins into Nante's backstory because I've played up to the first battle in another RotR campaign that, er, didn't go so great. That said, I haven't metagamed at all since then, and even that little bit of metagaming was done specifically to make the story better.

As a player, I think spoilers should be used sparingly and not without good cause. I get the intent behind the way they've been used in this campaign, but I think that separating our stories when we separate has had a fragmentary effect on our comprehension of the narrative. It was cute when our characters didn't know each other, but now that we're the Heroes Of Sandpoint, it feels a tad limiting for the left hand to not know what the right hand (or, in this case, right hands) is doing.

Now that we're a party, I say that we assume anything so far posted that isn't explicitly a secret our characters are keeping is something they would tell each other offscreen. Therefore, the only spoilered content should be explicitly secret stuff. Right? Am I crazy?

^You are not without reason.

Because AP Exam week is coming up very soon, my time on the computer is going to be sparse because I want to clear these courses before I go to college. Ugh.

As for the whole 'spoiler' issue, I think I'll only use it when players are having solo/one-on-one private interactions with NPCs. So if you guys are in public, in groups of more than two or in general combat, I won't put posts in the spoiler tabs, okay?

Ugh. Gotta go to Government.

Peace out, my PCs.

I think I am going to step out here, It was fun while it lasted and I wish you all the best. GM please remove my character from the active player's list.

why are you leaving Sarvo?

AP Exams start tomorrow! Might not be able to update as fast, so just a heads up...

That being said, wish me luck!

Gimme a few hours to celebrate my birthday...will update as soon as the room stops spinning....

Will post my action(s) for this turn in the morning. Others can go ahead and post theirs if they like.

Just, you know, FYI.

Male Human Cleric/1 (HP 10/10 | AC:18 | T:11 | FF:17 | CMB: 3 | CMD:14 | Fort:+5 | Ref:+1 | Will:+4 | Init:+5 | Perc: +2 | Speed 30)

So we've decided against grouped initiatives. That's too bad.

Sorry about the delay. Internet connection in Delaware is really bad.

Haven't been able to type up a response because my house is being repaired because a water main burst. I got about...eh, an entire room of hardwood that needs to be yanked and dried before mold develops.

My old man's getting sleepy from the work, so I gotta take over for an hour and help the workers fix my house. They're bringing in new wood, them fancy driers and a whole lot of power tools. Oh yeah, the dry wall needs to be replaced.

That said, I will post soon. Just gimme a few hours to get my house back in order.

Sorry I haven't been posting as frequently as I'd like. Been slammed with life stuff.

You know, FYI.

^ Understandable. Thanks for the heads-up.

Is this dead?

Not yet. I've just been out of the country, and trying to update is really hard since the area I'm at doesn't have good wi-fi. The Phillipines isn't exactly a good source of wi-fi, but I'll try to update when I can. Problem is, I type up a big response and most times, it doesn't go through.

Digressing from that, I will update within the week. I'm in transit from one of the villages to the big cities (Manila), so when I get to the city, I should have a better wi-fi connection.

Thank's for staying with me,

GM_Fenwick
